Quelques mois après l'achat de cette veste je confirme sa réputation. Finition au top, la coupe me convient tout à fait. J'ai choisi la taille S, les manches et le dos sont assez long, il me reste de la place pour porter une doudoune dessous.

I bought this jacket for one purpose, to protect me from whatever was thrown at me outdoors. And it does. I wanted a jacket that could keep the wind, rain, snow, cats and dogs out. It is tough and has no issues pushing through dense bush without tearing. The hood has loads of adjustments for just the right fit. I would have liked extra hand pockets and the zipper for arm vents to run all the way down. When you first buy the coat the zippers are super stiff and not easy to use. I would have liked bigger zippers but also know that comes at cost of extra weight. The jacket is not cheap. The jacket is amazing. It is the one thing I always pack be it hiking, camping etc.

Dieses Modell war meine erste Arcteryx Jacke und ich kaufte mir diese vor vielen Jahren. Die Jacke ist immer noch top im Schuss und sieht auch immer noch so aus.

I bought this jacket a little over a month ago.The few times i've used the jacket so far it seems absolutely bullet proof.Although the weather has not been to severe this jacket has get kept me dry and the wind out.

J'ai utilisé ce manteau tout l'hiver à chaque jour avec un manteau isolé en sous couche et j'aurais dû faire cet achat bien avant.

This is a really nice jacket which fits properly and is well constructed. Basically is a bombproof jacket. I have been using The North Face jackets, which are fine; however, this one exceeded my expectations. Clearly is better constructed compared with competitors

Je possède la veste alpha SV depuis de nombreuses années. Après me l'être faite volée, je me m'en suis re procuré une nouvelle tellement elle allie toutes les propriétés que je recherchais : résistance et solidité, imperméabilité, confort de la découpe, ajustabilité de la capuche et des poignets, et de nombreuses poches fonctionnelles idéalement placées. Je ne changerai de veste pour rien au monde. Manufacturée au Canada, la finition et l'imperméabilisation des coutures sont absolument parfaite, en tout cas mieux réalisées que sur des vestes manufacturées ailleurs. Je recommande vivement ce produit qui m'accompagne lors de toutes mes sorties en montagne.

Finally got myself the Alpha SV after buying other Arc’teryx jackets like the Beta AR. You can feel the quality, and the fit is great. I’m not a climber or avid outdoorsman, but it’s my daily jacket in the Lower Mainland, where rain is something we get used to. The only one thing I would change with this jacket is the pocket placement. Maybe it’s designed for access while wearing climbing gear or whatever (I wouldn’t know), but it’s awkward getting into the pockets as the zippers are near the center of the jacket, and the pocket liner is towards the sides (pockets are usually accessed from the sides with the hand sliding in towards the center...this is like a “cross draw” pocket, with the hand of the opposite side opening and sliding into the pocket).

I finally decided to upgrade from my older Arcteryx Hardshell and am not disappointed. My old shell was still in perfect condition, but was 20yrs old and this has been on my wish list for a long time. So far I’ve only used it for back-country skiing and it was amazing. Slightly large, but that’s what I need as I wear over a down layer when I need the extra warmth and am not on the move.

Produit de grande qualité qui semble très durable. Considérant que le tissus est assez épais, le manteau est un peu raide et bruyant. J'imagine qu'il va un peu s'assouplir avec le temps.

J’ai acheté cette veste alpha sv pour remplacer un shell beta ar Le fini est parfait, aucun détail n’est laissé au hasard, vraiment un shell durable fait pour les pires conditions

I mesure 5’11 at 170 lbs and the medium Alpha SV fits perfectly on me when I wear it with my Arc’teryx Atom. The jacket is fully waterproof and breathable which is key when doing outdoor activities. This was my first time with a Jacket without side pockets and took me a few wears to get used to it. However having car keys in the chest pockets is not ideal, this is why when I drive in my car, i’ll put the keys in the piece of clothing I’m wearing underneath. Other than that, great Jacket

I’ve always loved Arc’teryx clothing and have had a zeta ar shell for some time but always wanted to upgrade to the alpha sv and it was a pretty big investment but it really was worth every penny!! Perfect jacket for living on the west coast of BC!

J'ai acheté le manteau Alpha SV, il y a huit ans et je viens de refaire l'achat du même model pour 2021. C'est un manteau technique qui s'adapte à tout les types de sortie.

I was skeptical until I put it in action. I had full range of motion for technical ice climbing and mixed. I was quiet sure the jacket was going to be wrecked when I got down from mixed climbing. Not a scratch on it! I would definitely recommend this Shell, worth every penny! ALPHA SV OWNER FOR LIFE!

This rain jacket will be the last jacket you'll buy. It's absolutely overkill and I love it.

This jacket has been holding up great. Its my go to for both city and outdoor activities (snow sports) I was debating between this jacket and beta AR but the build quality on the Alpha SV was better so I went with this one. Because this is a jack of all trades, it wont beat out any activity specific jackets but if you need the one to do it all, i recommend this jacket.

I bought the SV model because I wanted to have one great versatile shell to be used for all activities (Ski, Trekking etc.), and for a long time. SIZE: If you look for urban shell with a nice cut, this is not the product. The Alpha SV is meant to protect you from the bad weather, which might includes cold ones where you have to wear multiple layers. For this reason some client might feel the cut is wrong, making you look like a potatoes bag. Compared to another GTX Pro shall I have, it is at least 4cm bigger, which looks baggy. This actually make sense when you wear a base layer and an insolation shell or fleece, so my advice: buy the size that allows you multiple layers. If you get a trim size, you won't be able to feel comfortable with other layers, and you will also start sweating, which is to avoid into the wild. I'm 186cm, 90kg, and size L was the most appropriate. PROS +++ EFFICIENCY: After testing it against abrasion (forest) and bad weather (snow, wind, rain) for over 3 months I can confirm it is very robust and efficient to stop bad elements and make you feel protected. It is definitely your best friend when things get bad, the one cloth with shoes you do not want to compromise. It also stopped ice rains, and the fabric is so water repellent that after the rain you can take the water off for a quick dry simply by shaking the jacket. BREATHABILITY: I appreciate the breathability during the effort. You can open the under arms to force thermal regulation, but generally speaking the fabric manages it well, which turns very useful for me whom sweat easily. PACKING: The jacket is standard in terms of weight, but the fabric does not allow to compress it as other GTX jacket. I own the Arc'tery Leaf's Alpha SV pants, which folds much better. Nothing bad, but just to remember when you organize your bag. NOISE: At first it looks a bit noisy, but with time I feel other people around do not really perceive anything. Maybe birds notice... HOOD: The hood is extra large and can be adjusted at 3 levels, which is great. I find it best when wore with a cap. VELCRO The Velcro used at the wrists is really strong and robust. It does not open by accident and resist well when on/off all the time. I appreciate to keep it tight so that the wind does not get inside. A strong point of the product. ********* CONS: pockets The inside pocket for the gloves is not high enough to properly secure any items, so I tend to avoid putting my gloves. A way to secure it might be a nice improvement. The other pocket for the wallet is a bit small, 1/2cm extra would add great value. The two front pockets have a decent volume, but make you look more baggy when full. Nothing terrible but I would have preferred the content to be spread differently in the jacket. This version is for climbing, so for other activities you might suffer from not having a place where to keep your hand protected from bad weather conditions. This obliges you to have some gloves around. The Beta SV jacket is certainly the answer. ********* CONCLUSION: Except for the pockets that could be improved, this Jacket is a goldmine of efficiency and robustness. It can be used for so many outdoor activities that you will forget the amount you invested. It exceeds my expectations and I use it all the time outdoor. Just get the Beta SV if you do not climb. The Alpha SV pants (Leaf version) is the best complement you can have to be fully protected.

It's my 4th Alpha SV. I also have 4 bibs in total. One about 20yrs old. Bought this 2021 SV for my 14yr old. It is fading and has a hole worn where the elastic waist mechanism is...and he doesn't pack equipment. That's after 4mos of use. If they deal with this properly, I will probably adjust my score as I think a large part of why I am a return Arcteryx purchaser is their service when issues arise. That being said they refused to warranty gloves that were falling apart. But I certainly feel it just isn't the same quality gears it used to be...and this particular product was made in the NV factory...

This is a very confidence inspiring jacket. This newest version covers my butt better than the last one. I have to say it’s like wearing a personal shelter.don’t expect to be stealthy wearing this jacket. It’s a bit “crunchy” while moving. Sleeve length is a bit long but it makes more sense when you are reaching for something and there is no restrictions of movement. Multiple hood adjustments allow for a custom fit. You simply have to try one of these jackets on to understand the engineering that went into it. I really like my jacket.

I wear a large and have purchased other arcteryx jackets in large which fit fine. Although the jacket is a large it doesn't even come close to fitting. Maybe its mislabled

La meilleure façon de décrire ce manteau est que nous serions à l'aise de dormir dans un ruisseau sans être mouillé. Le Gore-Tex Pro N100d est tellement robuste qu'on a l'impression de porter une armure. Les petits détails comme la hauteur du collet/capuchon, la configuration des différentes poches sont simplement parfaites pour moi. Ce manteau fait au Canada en vaut le prix si vous êtes un mordu de montagne comme moi.
