Question 1

Do I need size up for these boots? My usual hiking boots is Mono 23.5 , the former Size 6 with Arcteryx. My understanding is approach boots fit snuggly thus the question!

Hello there, thanks for your question. Sizing can definitely feel tricky when moving between brands, especially with approach‑style footwear that’s designed to fit more securely. Because fit varies from brand to brand and even from model to model, the best way to choose your size is to measure your foot and compare it directly to our sizing chart. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure from your heel to the tip of your longest toe, then select the closest measurement that is equal to or greater than your foot length. If the size you choose doesn’t feel right once you try it on, we offer free returns within 30 days as long as the item is unworn and the tags are still attached.

Question 2

Is it for winter? Keep the foot warm? Water proof?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Konseal Trek Boots are waterproof. They feature a GORE-TEX® upper membrane that helps keep your feet dry in wet conditions while maintaining breathability. While they offer weather protection and can be used in snow, they are not specifically designed as insulated winter boots. Certain features, such as the durable nubuck leather upper and mid-height construction, will provide some warmth and protection from the elements, but for prolonged use in very cold winter conditions, an insulated winter-specific boot may be a better choice. The Konseal Trek Boots are best suited for hiking, trekking, approaches, and mixed alpine conditions where waterproofing, support, and traction are the priority.

Question 3

Are this a waterproof boots?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Alon, thank you for your question. Yes, the Konseal Trek Boots are waterproof. These boots feature a GORE-TEX® upper membrane that helps keep your feet dry in wet conditions while maintaining breathability. That said, as with any waterproof footwear, prolonged exposure above the collar height may allow water to enter. Hope this helps!

Question 4

How much time is needed to wear them in?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Fion, thanks for you question! The break-in period of the Konseal Trek Boot can vary a bit depending on your foot shape and how you use them. Most people find they start to feel comfortably molded after a few outings, as the materials soften and adapt with movement. If you ease into them with shorter hikes or everyday wear, they should settle in naturally without much effort.

Question 5

Would they be compatible with lightweight universal crampons?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Maya, thank you for your question. Yes, many lightweight universal strap-on crampons should fit the Konseal Trek Boots. However, these boots are not crampon-specific and do not feature toe or heel welts, so compatibility depends on the specific crampon model. As fit and retention can vary by crampon model, we recommend testing compatibility before relying on them in alpine or technical terrain.

Question 6

Welche Qualität hat der Schuh ( B,C ?) und ist er für Steigeisen geeignet?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer
