Top 5 Arc'teryx products for sure. The 1/2 zip is cute and practical while being something that I can keep on all day. Super soft, super comfy, and a great baselayer in wet and dry conditions.
My fave base layer for anything ski to climbing. Breathable and honestly stays unsmelly for more than a wear or two - which might be the most underrated base layer rating metric.

Love it. Comfy and warm. Bought a medium and it fits well but sleeves are a tad long — no biggie just cuff them or leave them down if it is cold. Love the higher neck— another feature that keeps you warm.

Good but rides up

I bought the lightweight and the heavyweight in the same size. The lighter one is amazing. The heavy one rides up. It's too thick to tuck in comfortably to prevent this. It is puts me in a terrible mood. It's as though it's too small, as though the extra warm layer was built towards the body instead of the outside. I feel crowded, even though it's not small. It gets some stars because it is actually warm and is made of lovely material. . And if it's layered just right, the ride-up isn't an issue. And it's a fantastic layer of insulation. Super warm.

Awful quality - avoid.

Terrible quality. I have always loved Arcteryx products, and this has been really disappointing. After three days skiing, wearing under a regular jacket, there is chaffing/bobbling around the shoulder blades area. Three days! This is the sort of thing I would expect after years of wear. When I emailed them to complain, they simply said ‘it’s normal wear and tear’ and they advised me to buy a shaving product to take off the excess. I found this unbelievably bad customer service, for a product I paid £130 for, they were asking me to buy something else to make up for the poor quality. After much arguing back and forth, they offered me a replacement. I’ve not seen or heard anything since this offer.

Bad quality!

I bought this item to go skiing, after 1 wear it’s already shaffing on the back. Very disappointed. Didn’t experience any falls. For its price, didn’t expect this type of bad quality.

Super warm and soft! My new go to!

I received this base layer last week and have already worn it twice to the hill. I run super cold and always complain about being chilly. Well, say no more to chill !!! This is my new favourite base layer I've ever owned! I bought it in the colour black and size small. For reference, I am 5,4 and 136lbs - fits perfectly! I've been wearing it with my Atom, and never been warmer in my life! If you're on the fence, just treat yourself! You won't regret it!

Deducted one star because of the unnecessar pocket

I first purchased the Hallam sweater as I wanted a thicker wool base layer. However, I didn't like the fit (it was a bit baggy in the body) so I decided to get this instead. It would be 5 stars if not for the arm pocket. IMO that's unnecessary in a base layer (even a thicker one) and just adds bulk for no reason. I would say it fits TTS, as I'm a solid M in all Arcteryx items and I purchased an M in this. It is a trim fit, but that's what I wanted.

This is absolutely amazing warm base that I didn’t want to like but I love it to the point I am ordering another one in different color. I bought warm stone color and will be getting the green one. It’s warm, cozy and hugs you as a nice blanket. Can’t get enough of it! I see myself wearing it all winter long!! Maybe I should get matching leggings…

Cozy and Warm Base Layer

The warmest base layer that I own. I love it so much that I bought two - one in my normal size to wear as a true base layer for skiing and one size up to wear as a 1/4 zip fleece. The Polartec Pro makes it super soft yet breathable. The inside seams are stitched well and are not coarse or scratchy against the skin. I’ve washed my Rho Heavyweight zip neck 4 or 5 times at this point and there is no piling. The synth color is great!

Warm, stretchy, soft, great quality!
My issue with the Rho heavyweight line is sizing.
The bottoms are loose and I got an XS. I’m normally a S.
I kept the S for the top with NO diet room for extra marshmallows, maple syrup pie or poutine. It fits tight on my 34A 125lbs frame. On the plus side: super stretchy!
So in doubt…size up if you prefer a less « sausagy » look.

Warmest base layer out there!

Warmest base layer out there and the comfiest. I am a full time ski instructor that is on the hill day after day no matter how cold it gets - 25 and bellow for a good part of the season. I have tried others but nothing comes close to the warmth of this base layer.

La polaire extensible Polartec Power Stretch Pro procure une liberté de mouvement exceptionnelle pendant l’effort.
