Functional and great piece!

I've been wearing this jacket quite a bit as of late after being hesitant to switch up my layering system of the shell over a puffy while ski touring. Now I just bring the Rush Insulated Jacket and a very small shell called the Norvan which I use for hiking uphill in wind or weather. I throw this jacket on top of the Norvan at the top, so I don't have to ever expose my first layer to the elements. It has kept me super warm and dry on the stormiest days this year. This jacket packs well and has become a staple.

The warm hug you want on a cold day

This jacket was great for colder days. I used it a summit and descending layer for days I was out touring and for dry days on the mountain. It packs down and is light so it was nice to have the extra layer if I needed it in the alpine.

Bit of a game changer

I like in Lake Tahoe and primarily access terrain by ski touring. We have a mild winter so the majority of the time I hike up with just a base layer on. I used to add a shell jacket as well as a puffy when I got to the top, but often times I will just wear this for the descent and it's far easier than carrying two jackets up! Or I will bring the shell and throw this on on top. A well designed piece that cuts down on what you need or adds the the kit on really brisk days. If you have the shell on, you don't have to put this under. Just throw it on top and stay that much warmer during your transition.

Great fit

I had the chance to check these out in person and I'm glad I did. I'm a guy and decided to go for the women's version and I have to say that, for my body type at least, the women's XL fit much better than the men's L. I have a wide/large chest and wide hips so having a bit more room in those areas is definitely beneficial for both comfort and layering. The arms also fit a bit shorter than the men's version but again the length is perfect for my size. If I were to buy something like a shell which is much for specific in terms of proportions, I would have gone for the men's sizes but this jacket is sorta shapeless and poofy so it shouldn't really matter. As an aside, the green yellow colorway is sooo much nicer than the odd blue shoulders the men's version got this year. Cheers

My new winter go-to

I'm really happy with this jacket for all winter activities - warm, water repellent, windproof, breathable. I mostly used it as an outer layer because I get really cold! It's sized well to be able to easily fit over other layers and your helmet. The big internal dump pockets are really handy for stashing things that you want quick access to.

Wow.

This jacket is everything it claims to be. I love how warm it is - windproof, water repellent and breathable. I LOVE GORE-TEX INFINIUM! For sports like backcountry ski touring, Ice climbing or Mountaineering, full on gore-tex can be a nightmare in terms of moisture management, but the infinium gives you the protection plus breathability. I love this layer. Being synthetic, it is easy to pack down small and is so light and easy to dry. This jacket looks great too, I always get compliments and have turned so many friends onto it.

Warm Multi-purpose Jacket!

This was a new jacket to my layering piece this winter, and from here on out I will always have it with me (either in my pack or wearing it!) I mostly used it as my outermost layer on cold ski touring days , but also always carried it as my larger insulated layer. It packs down well but also fits over all the layers (including shell jackets like the Sentinel ) without restricting movement. The big pockets fit your skins/ gloves/etc when you are doing short laps and want to have them easy access.

Amazing jacket for physical activity in cold temps

Low snow pack so no ski touring just yet! I've been wearing this jacket while fat biking in the snow and winter cold and it rocks! I am kept warm and dry without getting too hot and sweaty, which speaks to the breathability and vapour transfer of this jacket, while still providing wind and water/snow protection. The hood is roomy and provides excellent warmth and coverage. I absolutely love the Labyrinth/Dark Immersion color ;)
