The face fabric is so weak it is pilling badly from the seatbelt in my van. Terrible quality and unable to endure normal light use. Arcteryx would not warranty the product and called this normal wear and tear

i wear it as midlayer on Downhillskiing and outside for Uphill, its just Perfect... verry nice and the Quality is top like all Arcteryx products

Great fit and feel. I’m 6’3” and 185 abs size large fits great. Not too baggy abs good for movement. Looks good enough to wear out as well.

Gave this for a Xmas present and it was perfect. It fit him good and the quality is top notch.

I've been wearing this as an underlayer for work and it is a great addition. Very breathable for underneath layers, and light enough as an additional layer, not too bulky.

Perfect fit which is important. Also was looking for a jacket which is super light and can use for outdoor weather as well as during winter golf with temperatures around 40 degrees. This jacket fits the bill, warm and comfortable. Probably too light for snow storms

I have had five or six Atom LT's (mostly jackets) over the past decade or more. I liked the earlier ones, but they did not clearly stand out from similar weight jackets of a major competitor. … But a couple of years ago when Arc'teryx went to a different cut and to this fantastic material, inner and outer, the Atom LT took a giant step forward, for me. I look forward to having a reason to wear it. It has a bit of a drape to it now, while still fitting close (not tight). Whereas before it just looked "Okay". The material, while technical, feels silky. A terrific jacket.

I was really between the Atom AR vs LT. I went with the LT since it has more shoulder room/flexibility and I could always layer. The AR was super warm and I am too active for it I think. And I love jackets without hoods. Hoods just collect water and snow for me, I wear hats.

Purchased a few weeks ago and have worn it non stop since. It’s light/packable but also heavy enough to wear just a T shirt underneath on colder nights and still be comfortable. Great product.

I am very pleased with this jacket. It is light but functions exactly as needed.

Lighter and less warm than I expected. Fits well and looks good. Not the greatest value butt ok, It does compact well.

I have 2 Atom LT vests already and a variety of midlayers (Proton FL, Practicioner AR) in size L. This is a bit roomier fit in size L than I am used to, but some might find that advantageous (I am definitely more on the slim size in abdomen, wider shoulders). Great for all-around use. Kingfisher is a great color with just as much casual appeal as Black, I find. Very warm for the weight.

I love this very light jacket for cool spring and fall days and as a mid-layer under a shell for cold days on the slopes. Extremely versatile.

I’ve had it through all of the seasons, in several different climates, and it’s the perfect jacket. I love it camping in the morning, snoozing on an airplane, bundling up when mountains get windy, but I’m hot from moving. I also love the pocket placement, makes it easy to be a good belayer.

Really comfortable, good for use in colder weather (from 50-30 F). Only caveat, the arms are a little long. Although I’m 5’7”, so I may be a bad reference point!

I am a tried and true lover of the Atom LT Hoody but never really gave the jacket a try until this past season and I am so glad I did. Skiing mid-layer was always a struggle as I hated having so many hoods in the way but not anymore. Best part its perfectly breathable and warm to wear on a spring day with my bibs Apres.

I bought my last Atom Jacket in 2017. The sales representative told me it had a lifetime warranty. Fast forward to this year when it gets a tear on a walk through the woods. I contacted customer service. Turns out I'm only eligible for 40% off. Not what I understood, but fine, I get it. I replace the Atom with this model (at a fairly steep $ even after discount). What a disappointment. They have obviously cut down on the insulation material from the previous model. At first I thought this was in my head so I wore the torn version out--nope, clearly the new version is not as warm. The new model has replaced the sides with a stretch material which lacks insulation. In addition, the new zipper tabs look and feel like actual garbage. They are a cheap plastic which is not at all the same quality as the previous pulls. I was so impressed with the previous model. It was my go-to for most of year, but now I feel cheated in quality for the cost. In almost every conceivable way the jacket seems like a downgrade. This will be my last purchase from Arcteryx.

I purchased this jacket in 2018 and have worn it religiously ever since. I have used it for hiking in cool weather, layering while downhill skiing, brush clearing, and for work (as an archaeologist). During the early days of the lockdown in 2020, this was even my go to for informal Zoom meetings. When it first arrived, I was skeptical that it would last very long and was worried that I would snag it on something in the woods that would rip it open. To my surprise, it has stood up to a great deal of punishment and abuse, way more than I think it was intended for (getting snagged by thorns while clearing brush, for example, or providing a 'cushion' while falling down a scree slope). It is still in great shape except that one of my kids got some sort of sugary substance on it last year and this has proven impossible to clean off completely (there is a crusty patch on it). When the temperatures are above 5C and you get your heart pumping, it is a bit warm and so can get a little moist on the inside but that doesn't affect the insulation and it dries very quickly, which is great. Otherwise, this is one of the best pieces of clothing I have ever owned. For an Arc Teryx product, it does run a little large and loose, which I like (I own the Proton AR Hoody as well which runs a bit tighter).

I bought one of these in 2012, still going strong. It is my go-to jacket and has been all over the world with me. I use it for mountain biking, hiking 14ers, backpacking, or everyday use. I have long arms and this jacket has proper length sleeves for me. I have jackets from other companies that tend to rip rather easily and wear out quickly. Seriously, Arc'teryx, thanks for making such a comfortable, well-fitting, versatile jacket. You get what you pay for.

There's a good reason this is one of their best sellers, and highly praised by nearly all who own one. I've had mine almost a year. I bought it wondering if I really would wear it that much after owning both the Atom SL (for when I don't need much thermal warmth) and Kyanite (for when I'm not worried as much about wind), but it turns out in day to day use, I may wear it more than both. If there is one key I want to point out though, it's this: This doesn't breathe great. What that means is if your'e wearing it for all round use, walking, hiking, sitting, around camp, around town, you'll be very pleased with it. If you're buying it and planning on using it for cold or cool weather active pursuits (even hiking, as long as you're not stopping much) you'll potentially overhead in it. So, if you like all the specs on the Atom LT, but need it for more active work, look at either the Proton LT, which is similar but breaths better, or the Atom SL, which has a little less loft in the body, and almost none in the arms, but is surprisingly warm, as long as your'e moving. If you need less loft, but want more wind protection, look at the Nuclei FL (aimed at climbing, but also cold weather cycling, sailing, even just hiking in windy conditions).

I use it as a midlayer jacket for skiing and I like that it provides the right warmth for most days in the Alps (I go for a fleece on spring days and for a warmer midlayer or Atom+fleece on super cold days). The fleece panels on the sides are a great idea when it's hot and you can open the zips on the armpits of the shell to have some ventilation. However, the supernice fit of the jacket in the models in 2019 and before is not there anymore. The M size does not fit like a trim M size for European standards. Before it was perfect, now it is just quite loose and boxy - the S size is a better fit for me now, but I would not want to risk problems while moving during my skiing, so I just went for the M size, but that means that I cannot use on casual occasions because it is just too big. A problem of the previous model was that the face fabric was really not abrasion resistant and just by carrying a backpack it was pilling. This seems to have improved with the new one, but I have not really tested it yet.

I bought this 18 months from the Mall of America store right before the pandemic hit. If the jacket was not zipped up to the chin the jackets zipper would slowly open. Within 100 yards of walking it would be entirely unzipped. I contacted customer service for replacement and they told me that this jacket was designed with this zipper in mind. I also informed them that if the jacket is worn on a windy day (20mph winds) the jacket will entirely unzip by itself. In order to repair this Arcteryx provided me with a new zipper pull. Using two pairs of needle nose pliers and taking some risk on ruining the jacket and the zipper I was able to repair it with a zipper that now opens in 30mph winds. Arctereryx told me this is a design feature. If you want a jacket that will unzip without you touching the zipper this is a jacket for you. I do like the style and the medium weight so I will live with the poor zipper but I would think twice if I was to use this jacket for anything other than city life. NOT a jacket for the backwoods. I contacted Arcteryx a number of times on this issue...they provided me with a replacement zipper pull. I would have wanted a replacement jacket shipped to me with a postage free return box for the defective one....I got a zipper pull instead. Not customer service that I would expect for a premium brand.

My second Atom LT jacket. Absolutely love it. The jacket is warm enough for up to 30F with a t-shirt inside. Note that the fit is a trim fit, but it fitted me perfectly.

Just took the plunge and paid way more than I ever thought I would for a jacket of this type. I bought it to replace a fleece layer that wasn't quite warm enough on those windy days here in Sidney. This jacket is amazing! First off, the fit is perfect. I can put my vest under it if it's raining, or over it when it's dry out. The stretch panels have plenty of give without being too loose when worn alone. The cuffs fit perfectly and stay nicely seated even when moving around. The pockets are big, easy to access and warm since they are behind the insulation. Pretty much windproof except where the side panels let in a bit of air if it's gusty out, but that's also how it breathes so it's not a bad thing. It warms up quickly when you're moving but vents well and keeps you warm when stopped. I haven't had a chance to get it really wet yet, but it shed every drop in a mild shower no problem. Quality of construction is evident everywhere in the beautifully straight seams, zipper pulls and hem cinche design. It's perfect for my intended use as both a mid layer and stand alone. Now I want an AR version as well.

Got mine delivered today and so impressed. Fit is great, awesome material, and very lightweight. Wore it on a stroll downtown in 8C weather, and was very comfortable. Going to be a great Spring jacket. Another amazing product from the folks at Arc'teryx.
