Purchased this online after trying on a different colour at the store. What a great, lightweight jacket - keeps me warm down to 5 Celsius with just a tshirt underneath. And the yellow/orange colour is amazing - great visibility for early morning or late evening walks with the dog.

Agreed. Mine is pilling as well now. A result of manufacturing in India/China. Move operations back to Canada and bring back the quality we expect for the price.

Just got it a week ago and this is my second one. My other has no hood and I us it under my motorcycle gear.

Nice and lightweight, great colour!

First time owning an Arc’teryx mid-layer, and I’m quite pleased. The Atom hoody is warm and comfy without the bulk. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks so far, and haven’t got to test it out in the elements yet, but I’m looking forward to it!

Fast-fashion quality and durability

This jacket initially seemed promising with its easy wear and lightweight design, but I've been rather disappointed with its durability. After only a month of use, signs of wear and tear are already evident. The exposed stitches and scuffed area near the pocket are particularly concerning, especially considering that I've only worn it for city walks and work—no extreme activities.
The quality falls short of my expectations, especially given the reputation of the brand, Arcteryx. I had hoped for a product that would stand up to regular, everyday use without showing such premature signs of aging. I believe there should be a higher standard of longevity, even for urban wear, and it's disheartening to see the jacket not meeting those expectations. I hope this feedback can contribute to improvements in the design and construction of your products. What would be your advice to get this repaired?

Great all around Jacket

Utilize this jacket daily, this jacket does its job and keeps me warm and dry during minimal precipitation. It is also excellent as a mid layer to provide warmth on the slopes. Being located in the PNW, this jacket meets the demand of users during the mild fall season and wet winters.

I finally saved enough to purchase the jacket in the colour I wanted. But when it came it was too small to layer over my nuclei vest. I went to the store and was refused an exchange because of the discount I used to buy it. So I had to return it. Very disappointed.

Great layer to add. Very warm for how lightweight it is and packs down well. The hood is great for real cold days and I like that it's big to fit over helmets. The exterior fabric is light and can get caught on things so be careful there. I bring this layer on every adventure I go on and am glad to have it.

So , I wrote a negative review about this jacket , that it stains easily and is as sensitive to water as tissue paper . And what this company did , was attack me for making a negative review . Instead of offering to assist in anyways possible ( the customer is always right) they chose to attack me for having the nerve to complain .
Beware of this company people , I am no longer impressed with there products or customer service . Don’t waste your money buying anything from them

Perfect mid layer jacket for stylish people ;)

Great jacket for those slightly chilly fall mornings. The side panels are fleece lined and provide great heat dissipation. I have noticed if the breeze is strong you can feel a slight draft. Overall great jacket, took it on a recent trip to the UK and it preformed perfectly. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

Best mid layer ever

I’ve owned 3 Atom Hoody’s and once I found it I never went back to other mid layers. Fits perfectly with a helmet on, roomy enough for multiple base layers, and trim enough for multiple layers on top

I have owned two Atom Hoody's over the last 12 years and will probably own one for the rest of. my life. it is incredibly comfortable and I use it everyday as a standalone jacket around town in the spring and fall. I have also worn this while outdoor climbing in colder conditions as well as cross country skiing and winter biking. it moves with you very well while you're working and has a nice amount of insulation for physical activities down to around 0 degrees . It has also been a great outer layer in colder winters overtop of a down coat if you size it slightly larger.
