In preparation for next winter, I got the Kyanite LW Jacket, which does not have a hoodie. I prefer ski clothing without hoodies, as these are non functional when consistently wearing a helmet. I shall it use as my mid-layer under my hard shell Arcteryx jacket and over an Oslo first layer. In general the cold does not truly affect me, whereas I ski at least 80 days per season. I most certainly love the return to the past grey blueish coloring as the understatement is much more of interest than dysfunctional fashionable colors.

Kyanite LT - Size / cut / issue...

Same jacket, same label size, very different cut..... especially on the arms...
I have this in 2 others colours also.
All the same label size. But all a different fit.
This most recent colour purchase has very long sleeves and they are very loose fitting around the arm and wrist.
I like them tighter. So ill have to ha e them tailored to suit.

Great Product but New Fit

I'm a huge fan of the Kyanite Lightweight Jacket and Hoody, so much so that I have 5 of them. Unfortunately (for me, anyway), Arc'Teryx changed the fit of this product by slimming it down in the torso by about 2". What used to fit me perfectly is now snug. My older Kyanite Lightweights are a few years old so I'm not sure when they changed the dimensions. If you're like me and have older versions, just be sure to try the new one on before you pull the tags off and wash it like I did. (I'd return it but I guess I'm stuck.)

Best fleece I have found so far. Super comfortable, lightweight but still warm.Also I find it look good enough to wear in the office. I'm 6'1, 180lbs, 41' chest and the fit in L is maybe a little bit roomy depending on your likings.

Love this fleece. Very thin. Very comfortable. The material is stretchy and that ends up being very nice for exercising. In terms of sizing, the medium fit me perfectly. I'm 5 10, 175 lbs. And I typically wear most Arcteryx clothing in large. But as others have shared, the large for this piece runs larger than normal.

Arc’teryx not standing behind its product - Beware

I purchased a kyanite jacket in January and for the first time have had an extremely bad experience with Arc’teryx and it’s poor customer service and failure to stand behind its product . I wore the jacket once and had a problem with the zipper not working correctly. When I called customer service I was told there could be no exchange because I took the label off - really? And no supervisor worked with the team. When I wrote to the company via email, they asked for more info which I provided, including proof of purchase and zero response after the first response. I have plenty of Arc’terx jackets, but after this experience will switch to another brand . Sad that a brand of this caliber sells itself as the top of line. The big lie. Beware!

It's really sad that Arc'teryx has such a draconian return policy. This poor customer obviously got a defective product that he used just once before the zipper failed, and is now being forced to go through their warranty program. I'm sorry, there should be absolutely no excuses that they can't accept this as a full return. One of the reasons I prefer to buy my Arc'teryx products through REI is that I have up to a year to return it (no questions asked). This is just nonsense for amount of money they charge for their products.

This is my 6th arc purchase since discovering them 2 months ago. I'm impressed with it. I've worn Pata, Lulu, and other similar brands. This kyanite lt is the softest stretch fabric I've ever felt. I'm currently 155lbs with a slightly wider torso width due to bench pressing and the M fits well. Nice fitted feel but doesn't feel overly restrictive at the shoulder-armpit area. It really is an optimal skin-layer. I usually wear the atom lt over it at night when it's chillier. It also stays up my forearm nicely when I pull the sleeves back. Another thing I like is that I can unzip it from the very top with one hand. I need to press the zipper close to my neck to do so but it still unzips well. For a jacket this thin its nice that I can unzip one-handed. This has become an essential layering piece for me.

The new large is the old XL

I’ve been loyal to ArcTeryx for many years because their sizes were designed for trim, athletic bodies and have always fit me well. This jacket is an exception. The revised large size is the old XL. This increase in size, without changing the label, has been the trend across other brands, but I didn’t expect ArcTeryx to go that route. In their explanation of this “ revised fit”, the larger sizes are now looser. Medium remains unchanged. That means the old large is non-existent. No option for me but to return my large and go without what looks and feels like a nice jacket. I am more than just a bit disappointed.

Minor design oversight

This has the potential to be a great fleece but has a design oversight that lowers the bar. In my opinion they should have extended the mesh pocket lining up the entire front. As a result there is an outline of the seam that visibly cuts across the torso along with a minor bump near the zipper. Also the extra layer of mesh in the chest area would support masking biological symptoms being a bit chilly. My comments are more nuance and probably aren't a big deal for most but attention to detail is what differentiates great products from good products.

This is a great fitting fleece with good breathability in a light weight fabric. Coupled with a medium weight base layer and hard shell, I found it perfectly suited for outdoor activities below 0ºC. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a mesh backer inside to make donning and doffing easier.

Nice jacket overall

Great jacket but the sizing and fit is a bit off in my opinion. I am 6' and 200lbs and have a 42' chest and tried the M and L. I wear 16 1/2 34/35" in fitted shirts for perspective so the M sleeve length and fit was best but the body was too tight. The L sleeves were a bit too long and loose but the body fit better so I kept the L. Overall, fairly good jacket for the money but would like it more if the fit of the sleeves matched the body a bit more.

I bought this for my husband, who loves his Kyanite Hoody so much, he doesn’t want to take it off. But, sometimes a hoody is just not dressed up enough, and that is where the Kyanite LT Jacket is clutch. It allows him to have the comfort and coziness of the Kyanite, but no hood and the right weight to keep on indoors.

Bin sehr beeindruckt. Von der Verarbeitung , der Leichtigkeit und der Flexibilität durch den hohen Elasthananteil, der Haptik und dem gewissen Chic der Optik.
Sowohl für innen als auch außen fühle ich mich stets wohl temperiert. Größe M bei 177/77 passt perfekt, die Ärmel sind ein klein wenig zu lang, aber das ist ok. Preis - Leistung geht völlig in Ordnung wenn ich mit anderen handelsüblichen Fleeceprodukten vergleiche. Ich hoffe, dass sie sehr lange hält, sie ist derzeit die Nr 1 bei meinen Midlayern.

Lightweight and very comfortable

Bought this a month ago because I already own the Kyanite jacket, and love it, but I also wanted something lighter.
It’s extremely comfortable and stretchy, it looks very good and fits perfect on me in small size, which is the same as I have on other Arcteryx jackets.
It keeps me warm when it’s cool and it’s easy to pack or carry if the temperature changes or the sun pops out. Haven’t tried that yet but I suspect it’s perfect for layering in colder temperature.

Very thin, arms way too long for short guys

Was expecting premium quality for premium price, but nope. Very thin jacket, feels like im wearing a light sweater not a light jacket.
Arms too long, not made for short guys. No interior pockets for wallet or anything. Was planning to get it embroidered but doesn't look like the material will hold up.
