This jacket for $400 at the top of the price scale for a thin down mid layer at best could be better.My Zipper failed if you read reviews this is a common problem.They will replace the zipper but the process is long and drawn out with communication problem and you pay for shipping.I will probably look for my high performance sports clothing else where now I had always believed Arcteryx to be at the top of the field but my experience has changed that view.

Der Cerium Hoody M von Arc’teryx hat mich wirklich überzeugt. Die Jacke ist unglaublich leicht und hält trotzdem richtig warm. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Isolierung: Arc’teryx verwendet hochwertige 850er Gänsedaune, kombiniert mit synthetischen Einsätzen (Coreloft™) an feuchtigkeitsanfälligen Stellen wie Schultern und Bündchen. Dadurch bleibt die Jacke selbst bei leichtem Schnee oder Schweißbildung zuverlässig warm. Ich trage sie beim Wandern bei -10 Grad als oberste Schicht, und sie hält mich ohne Probleme angenehm warm. Egal ob bei kalten Tagen in der Stadt oder bei Outdoor-Aktivitäten. Was mir besonders gefällt, ist die Passform. Sie liegt körperbetont an, ohne die Bewegungsfreiheit einzuschränken. Ich kann die Jacke super bequem tragen und sie fühlt sich einfach angenehm an. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist, dass sich die Jacke ganz einfach klein verpacken lässt. Das macht sie zu einem perfekten Begleiter für Reisen oder Wanderungen.

Very warm for the weight. My size is in between med and large. Fount that the large was a perfect fit since it’s a fitted cut. I would give it 5 stars but the zipper gets stuck a little when in zipping. Hope it gets better with wear.

Excellent puffy jacket

I have several puffer jackets I have used over the years. This is my go to jacket -10 C, pretty good stationary or on the move. Has a built in stuff sack which is really nice. The hood is ergonomic and doesn’t obstruct your view. This layers well with the Alpha SV jacket. I will switch between this and the Atom LT depending on conditions and activity for layering.

Zipper Failure after two seasons

The Cerium Hoody was purchased late 2020 and really has seen two seasons. I have two other Atom hoodies that I use for my high intensity outdoor sports ... skiing and camping. The Cerium has been used mainly as a dress jacket and around town. I was very disappointed when the zipper failed at the collar ... the zipper is much lighter in this jacket than the Atom ... I would not recommend this jacket for that reason.

Warranty on the product is terrible ... they offered to replace the zipper ... why would one replace a zipper that is clearly inferior ... my other Arctryx jackets are 5 to 7 seasons old and they are still in excellent condition ... both are atomic models.

Love that this thing is so packable and very warm. It's easy to dump heat by unzipping, and having every pocket zippered lessens any stress of having things fall out of my pockets. Great for midlayering on a cold day or just as an outer for the night out.

Arc’teryx used to be good :(

Where to begin…
I bought this jacket a few years ago and was really happy with it. After almost wearing it every day I had a bike accident and tore the jacket.
Arc’teryx put on their website that they offer a free repair service. THIS IS NOT TRUE!
First you have to send your item to Switzerland and pay for the shipping. When it got send to Zwitserland they then told me that the jacket is old and that they don’t want to repair it.
Because I liked the jacket a lot I then bought a new jacket . When this jacket arrived I noticed that is was different then the one I had before. The new jacket had another zipper and the fit was also different.
After 3 days of wearing the new jacket the zipper broke down. I could immediately tell that the quality of the new jacket compared to the old jacket was really bad.
I now have to pay again to send my jacket to zwisterland. I can advise everyone to not buy new items from Arc’teryx. I have. A lot of items and I’ve seen the quality go from good to very bad.

Interesting I have the exact same jacket ... grey colour purchased in the same time period ... three years ago ... exact same failure ... very dissatisfied and disappointing as I have multiple other Arcteryx products.

Gute Jacke mit einem großen Schönheitsfehler. Durch den Reißverschluss zieht es leider, da sich kein Stoff zwischen dem Träger, dem Reißverschluss und der Außenwelt befindet. Das bedeutet, dass die kalte Luft direkt an den Körper kommt. Die Jacke würde sich mit einem Streifen Stoff so viel wärmer anfühlen.

Great Jacket, Disappointing Durability (on mine)

I've had the Arc'teryx Cerium Hoody for three seasons, and I must say, I absolutely love the style and fit of this jacket. It’s lightweight, stylish, and extremely warm—perfect for Ontario weather up until around mid-January. The balance between warmth and weight makes it incredibly versatile, and I relied on it heavily during the cooler months.
However, I have some real concerns about its long-term quality. After only a few seasons, I noticed the down feathers are starting to leak out from multiple areas, and the stitching seems to be loosening in several places. It’s disappointing to see a jacket of this caliber show such wear in a short period. When I reached out to the Toronto store's service desk, hoping for some support, the response was less than helpful. Want a lighter version for summer

I purchased the Cerium Hoody as an ultralight, ultrapackable layer for backpacking and bikepacking. What surprised me is the warmth is similar to the Atom Heavyweight Hoody. However, it overheats easier, the fabric is ‘thicker’ (to contain the down), and it lacks the refinement of cuffs and overall length compared to the Atom Heavyweight, so I don’t recommend it for daily usage. Additionally, since it’s so warm, I would love to see a lighter version intended as the ultralight, ultrapackable layer for summer adventures in the mountains when you need a warm layer after the sun disappears behind the peaks. As it is, the Cerium Hoody is well suited for fall, winter, and spring adventures like ski touring.

BEWARE THE RUNE COLOUR WAY - I love this jacket for its functionality, so much that I bought a second one! However, I am really disappointed in the new rune colour. They dont tell you or advertise that the fabric is transparent and that all the little black feathers inside look like stains on the jacket. I dont know if this was a quality control issue or if this is just how it is, but the jacket advertised on the website looks blemish free. Some may not care about it but for the price I am pretty bummed.

Best down jacket I've owned!

Wonderful down jacket and is pretty durable. The zipper would be my only complaint, especially if you don't catch it all the way and it unzips itself from the bottom. I think the jacket runs bigger than expected with your true size, especially in the mid-section. Great for fitting more layers, but too much space when you just have a t-shirt underneath. Also great to throw on top when belaying in the cold.

I have just bought my second Cerium Hoody. For me its the best down jacket, because it is really lightweight, very packable and at the same time very warm too. The qualitiy is also very good, as you would expect from such a price.

Love this jacket! Lightweight and does a fantastic job of regulating my temperature! I wear it pretty much every day in the winter (I live in NW Montana). I never get too hot on warmer days, and I stay toasty on cold days. It doesn't have a ton of features, but I like the simplicity. What it does have works excellently!!

Love this jacket! Lightweight yet very warm, I wear it most days through the winter (I live in NW Montana). Not too warm on warmer days, keeps me toasty on cold days.. it's kinda magic! Could be more feature rich, but I like the simplicity. The features it does have work excellently!
