Perfect Lightweight Jacket

This is my go to all year round jacket that I wear more like an everyday sweater. Love the fit, nice length, the material is not clinging which makes it very comfortable to wear. Very pleased with the full zipper and zipped pockets. Great travel garment.

Disappointed with new version

I love Arcteryx gear. I had the old version of the delta and love it. I wanted to have a black one for an upcoming trip in Europe. The new version is nothing like the old. It’s not a fleece. Thinner fabric than the old one, almost see through. Please bring back the old version.

Disappointed with new model

I am long time Arcteryx fan. I tried to replace my Delta jacket I lost at airport overseas, but was disappointed with the jacket. It’s light as previous but the fabric is very thin and had flimsy feel to it. I returned it. I do hope you will have previous fabric again.

NOT A FLEECE !!!

Love the cut and fit of the jacket, but it’s NOT A FLEECE! The fabric isn’t fleecy at all, more shiny polyester with barely any stretch. It’s felt very scratchy on my skin, every time I tried on, my arms would get itchy and red. I had to return it. The previous version of the Delta was a lot better. The one improvement over the previous version is the thinner underarm panels. The 2 stars are because of the underarm panels, and the Sequoia colour was very nice. Please bring back the previous version!!!

Please bring back the old version

In have an old version of the delta and love it. I wanted to get it in black for a coming trip in Europe and just got it. So disappointed. The fabric is stiff, very thin, ever more than the previous version to a point where it is see through. I’m not sure why they still call it “fleece”. The diamond pattern is barely fleece and not sufficient to make it soft. I’m also questioning the warmth power of it. Still debating if I keep it or not.

I so miss the old version as well! It had great fabric, was a constant in my exercise wardrobe, washed well- & could go anywhere!

Love it, perfect summer camp/hike layer

Visited Whistler and saw this jacket in store and knew I had to have the forage colourway. I recently went on a 2 night backpack to Garibaldi Park where the night temperatures dropped and mornings were dewy. The jacket was perfect as a light morning layer and on the second night I wore it to sleep with a lana merino long sleeve and was perfectly happy and snug. It breathes relatively well, however after backpacking for an hour and the sun coming up I delayered. It looks fantastic on and it is a comfortable fit. I'm 5'7 lean and fit size small and found that it fitted perfectly with a bit of room if I wanted light or bulkier baselayers. The fabric is very lightweight, so don't expect this to be a sitting around jacket layer (for that I use an R1). I have no use for the chest pocket so for me it feels redundant but I do like that it adds a little detail.

Updated Delta Jacket - Good, and could be Great

This jacket is a great lightweight layer. It’s similar to the Kyanite LT but more breathable. It’s not very warm when sitting still and offers plenty of warmth when active. The grid fleece is silky smooth, and the phase side panels are stretchy. The exterior is a smooth face, which offers a cleaner/classier look than the typical grid pattern fleece. The custom Arc’Teryx zippers are a nice touch; easy to grab and glide smoothly. However, there are some opportunities for improvement. The breast patch is pointless. It restricts movement and prevents the collar from lying flat. The jacket hem is shorter than previous version which makes it a bit boxy compared to the Kyanite LT which is actually fitted. The lightweight breathability of the jacket lets cold wind cut right through, so it doesn’t offer much protection from the elements without additional layers.

I wanted to love this because 1. It's lightweight and 2. It's super flattering on. However, the grid mesh system that functions as the fleece layer is very distracting in my opinion when I am at my desk trying to work. I wore the hoody for about 6 hours and upon removing, the I had a fishnet like grid pattern all over my arms from the indentation from the fleece. Wanted to love but the technology here needs some refining.

Different from previous, but great

I had a previous iteration of this fleece and upon reading some of the reviews of the new fabric, I was a bit hesitant. But I’m really happy with the new version. The exterior of the fabric is smoother, but the interior is soft, it’s still the light weight that I was wanting and I find that the cut is a bit trimmer at the waist which feels a bit more flattering. Very happy with the new version.

Can I ask which colour you bought that had the thumb loops? I got this in Velocity (light purple) and it doesn't have any thumb loops at all, unlike the old Delta jacket which had extra-long cuffs to fit around the hands.

It’s now just another hidden base layer fleece . Bring back the old style delta lite zip without the big masculine-looking and slick patch . This new style has such limited usefulness.

Light weight and warm in all weather!

I love and own several full zip Delta fleece, the older model and the new one from last year. I also own two quarter zip without a hoody that I love for skiing, hiking, fly fishing on cooler days and anywhere! Please bring back the quarter zip without a hoody. I miss them.

I have two of the “older” style jackets one black and one gold that I absolutely love and would love to purchase more of the “older” style in various different colors. PLEASE bring them back!

Must-Have Mid-Layer for Sweaty Outdoor Activities

I love this jacket as my mid-layer for mountaineering and outdoor climbing. It does neither get too wet during exhausting activities, nor does it smell during the second day of long tours. The waffle structure is wonderful and is something I'm missing on other pieces which I returned because of the texture (e.g., Kyanite).

Warm but not sweaty, perfect for layering under down. Wear this jacket most days for everything from runs, cycles, yoga, hiking and at my desk. Flattering shape and useful deep pockets, don’t tend to use the smaller pocket for anything other than a key. I would love this style in more colours and in a quarter zip without the hood.

Old model was great

Prefer the updated version

I usually don’t write reviews but saw this update was getting a lot of negative reviews that I have to disagree with. I prefer the updated version compared to the old model. The new version is long enough and less boxy compared to the older version that was always too short at the waist and had a square fit for me. I’m taller at 5’10 so I’m assuming this is part of the reason I like the longer, leaner fit better. Went with my normal size medium and I absolutely love it. Will buy in other colors, wouldn’t mind seeing what a 1/4 zip update looks like as well.

Please bring back old Delta LT

I have worn many Delta LT jackets for years and years - my go to piece every day. Two of them just finally wore out and I went to buy two more. SO disappointed - the old style fit, material and subtle arm pocket was exactly right. I now see that many others are writing the same thing. This is a piece I would purchase every single year if I could. Please bring it back!

I adored the original Delta jacket. I have multiple (maybe 6 or 7) because I wear them daily. I miss them and haven’t found a good replacement since. The current Delta is a different fit and style. More sporty and not as multi-use. I will keep checking website in hopes that one day the original comes back… Colors are pretty good though!
