Erwartet hatte ich einen leichten Gürtel, der sich auch unter dem Hüftgurt eines Rucksacks verwenden lässt ohne dick aufzutragen. Das Gürtelmaterial ist tatsächlich so wunderbar leicht und luftig, dass es seinesgleichen sucht; zumal es gleichzeitig ausreichend stabil erscheint. Auch hält die Schnalle zuverlässig - das Gurtband rutscht also nicht durch und muss nicht ständig wieder festgezogen werden. Leider ist die als "flach" beworbene Schnalle aber auch ziemlich dick und klobig (im Vergleich dazu wirkt die Schnalle meines mittelgroßen Rucksacks flach und elegant). Zudem hat die Schnalle die unangenehme Neigung an einer Seite abzustehen, wenn man die Hose ohne einen Rucksack trägt, dessen Hüftgurt die Schnalle dann natürlich in den Bauch hineindrückt (siehe Foto). Ich habe durchaus schon wirklich flache Designs für solche Schnallen gesehen, nur ist das Gurtband dann elastisch, was ich inakzeptabel finde.
Ein weiteres Problem des "Heliad Belt 38" ist, dass das Gurtband an beiden Enden fest vernäht ist mit den jeweiligen Komponenten der Schnalle. Man muss es daher zusammen mit der dicken Schnalle durch die Gürtellaschen ziehen, was in den seltensten Fällen klappen dürfte. Bei mir ging es nur deshalb gerade eben, weil Hose samt Laschen aus elastischem Material sind.
Dann fällt mir noch die Größengestaltung auf. Ich habe Herrengröße M, doch selbst in Größe S (106 cm!!) ist mir der Gürtel eigentlich viel zu lang. Für Frauen mit wirklich enger Taille sollte es auch XS und XXS geben.
Mir ist nicht klar, welche Konzeption hinter dem Gürtel steckt. Es gibt weder ästhetische noch praktische Gründe dafür, eine so klobige Schnalle mit einem derart luftigen Gurtmaterial zu kombinieren. Ich bitte um Überarbeitung! Mit einer wirklich flachen Schnalle werde ich den Gürtel sofort mit Freuden kaufen.

Unbedingt bei Frauen den Gürtel mit der Breite von 32 mm kaufen! Passt am besten durch die Gürtelschlaufe! Der Gürtel gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut. Er ist modern, hochwertig, schlicht und praktisch. Der Schliessmechanismus ist gut durchdacht. Das Material aus Kunststoff passt optimal zum schönen Design.

This was my first belt purchase from Arc’teryx and I was anything but disappointed. The buckle makes it very easy to put on/take off, although it is a little bigger than I had expected. Overall great belt if you’re looking for a lightweight but reliable belt. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

I Needed a Belt for My Swim Shorts

Lucky me, I found this and it won’t rust, it doesn’t retain water, it’s strong and light, and matches my shorts. You know sometimes, when you jump in or swim too fast, you can loose your shorts lol Yes well this solves that problem.

Super unique belt that works great!

I've had this belt for a month. I carry items concealed on my belt for work purposes and wasn't sure this belt would be rigid enough. It is magic! Somehow despite weighing nothing and being translucent it has enough rigidity to support what I'm carrying in my waistband. This belt won't be rigid enough for someone carrying items outside the pants on the belt. I do wish the buckle was slightly smaller as it can be a challenge to thread it through some pants belt loops, but I haven't found a pair yet where it didn't fit. The buckle is plastic with some thin parts that may break over time. Overall I really think its a neat concept they've created. I'm a 31 pant size and small has a good six inches of extra length left. Another good thing is the extra tail is captive and is kept under the belt against the waistline.

Nice belt for hotter temperatures and travelling

Very light belt - I was concerned about the all plastic buckle but now think it will be a great belt to travel through airport security without having to remove it. Not as sturdy as the other Arc’teryx belt but I like it for travel

Plastic wide buckle

As other reviewer stated, when I bought this belt the description stated it had a metal buckle. Looks like this has been changed on the description to plastic/nylon. I do like the belt but it is difficult to get through pants loops because it is a little bit too wide. It will not go through my Arc pants and can be difficult with other pants. The pants/shorts I can fit bent through I do like. Ill prob return and buy the slimer belt that has been recently introduced. If the buckle was a bit slimmer so it could fit through Arc pants I"d give 4.5 stars. Nice and light. Bought Medium and it just fits my 36" waist.

Plastic buckle

The design and function of the belt looks as expected. Should help keep a ventilated waist line during high output trekking. Description says "self locking, metal buckle". The buckle is plastic, if I would've known that I never would've bought it. Not worth sending back, but not expected to last very long. I suppose I'll test it and see, it may surprise me.

Best belt for keeping pants up

I thought the belt was more about design than anything, but found it's amiable material keeps up your pants without any bulkiness. Had the conveyor belt and thought nothing could beat it, but this does.
