Great running jacket

I bought this jacket as a light layer for my runs and hikes. It is so nice to bring along just in case and it fits so well that I’m always a little happy when the weather turns and I need to put it on!

What a Bad "Jacket"

This is the worst piece of gear I have every purchased. It is a literal piece of paper. You know when you go into the hospital. The hospital gowns are better quality than this "jacket" . It is so flimsy it does literally 0. Super bad. Immediate return.

Love, love... except the lack of pockets!!

Bought my usual size, and it fit great! Loved it until I went to put my hands in the pockets... no hand pockets at all. That's a no-go for me. Returned.

Great weight

I love how this jacket suits my need so a light layer to warm up in for a climb. The thing but resistant material is amazing. My main piece of feedback would be the chest pocket needs to be about 2-4cm taller to accommodate a phone with a case on

I bought this jacket in small two years ago and love it. Great for warm days in the mountains with summer breeze. I have been wanting to buy size medium to be able to layer it, but waiting two years for Arcteryx to come up with some better/stronger colours. Still waiting..

The tiniest most useful jacket I own.

This jacket fits in my waist bag, my biking hip belt, and of course in ever pack - it's worth 10000x its weight (because it's so light) in gold. I wasn't confident when I got it that I would use such a light jacket, but it's been the most welcome addition spring/summer/fall adventure kit. So light yet offers so much perfection from the wind and light rain. It breaths well for sweaty movements while protecting me from the uncomfortable elements. Can't say enough great things about it!

Nice windbreaker, as always a great fit. But the lack of side pockets for stuff is a disappointment. Purchased this for dog walking to replace my noodin windbreaker.

It really does it all

This past weekend I was up in Monterey for a MTB festival. I brought this jacket since I was packing light and I could layer it with my Atom SL for wind protection. The temps were anywhere from 45-80 degrees. Sunny/bright with wind gusts kicking up dirt all day. I originally planned to only wear this in the morning or at night (when it was cooler) but I ended up wearing it all weekend! It provided the wind protection I needed, but also was great in the warmer temps without overheating me (providing protection from the sun). By the end of the day it was caked in dirt but all I had to do was shake it out and then wear it to dinner. I’m so glad I picked this jacket up.

Never leave home without.

Another "essential gear piece" especially for spring skiing, mountain biking, and summer hikes. Comfortable, wind proof, water resistant. I use the Squamish hoody as a stand alone jacket or a layering piece. Light and breathable that it will protect you from the sun on spring ski tours. Slim and not bulky it fits under many other jackets. Adds another layer of comfort when your getting into higher elevation mountain bike rides/ hiking and the wind is it a bit more brisk. Small and lightweight it's easy to pack.

Lightweight, comfy and stylish - love this jacket!

I love this jacket, it was perfect for an added layer for hikes in summer and fall, when the weather was too warm for a thicker jacket but just needed to keep that wind chill at bay. I was surprised at how effective it is at protecting from the wind given how lightweight it is. Love the colour too! As usual Arcteryx comes through with fantastic quality and style!

Glad I purchased it

Debated adding this to my closet for a while and glad I decided to get it. It’s trim fitting but fits TTS if you’re not layering much. Really useful in the fall season so far when it’s sunny but windy or when the weather changes quickly. Great early transitional piece! Only wish the wrists were adjustable as they’re a bit long on me (5’5”) and won’t stop the wind in the sleeves.

Bring it everywhere!

This jacket is as light and pack-able as it gets. I use it primarily for mountain biking, cross country skiing and running as a wind shell for a little extra added warmth. Even though it's small in weight, it makes a big difference when you need it. It's held up super well to the dirt and elements of mountain biking!

year-round staple

I have several of this windshirt and use them every day every season. It blocks wind effectively, and forms the perfect barrier against bugs, unless it's very humid out. In the winter I sometimes strip down to just this layer over a tank top, when expending a lot of energy hiking. In the summer, it cuts the chill when the sun drops. It's so lightweight that I truly never leave home without it. I stuff one in my handbag when I am out and about in the city. It sheds a light rain or sea spray as well.

Love the jacket

Love the jacket but wish you could took the hood away, I feel like it doesn’t look good when the jacket is unzipped because of the way the hood falls, but other than that I love it, wind resistance is really good in light wind conditions and is rain resistant in light showers, very light and comfortable, perfect fit too.

Less delicate than it seems

I've had this windbreaker for a couple years and it has proven itself to be a versatile and resilient piece. It is the sort of jacket I keep in my bag or car spring/summer/fall just in case I misjudged the weather. It really cuts the wind, and it isn't crinkly, nor will you overheat in warm months. Climbing, trail running, biking, spring skiing, dog walking. It gets a bit clammy during high output activities. It is water repellent enough to stay dry in light drizzle or misty conditions. I like the shoulder mobility. My zipper doesn't stay up unless it is all the way up, maybe updates have addressed this?

The best wind shirt for climbing and ski touring

The Squamish is my go to. Everyday I ski tour I am in this jacket. Touring gets your heart pumping and you heat up so fast, even in the coolest temps I always end up in a base layer and this jacket. It is the best jacket for touring. When the seasons start to change, I use it for biking and running. Then summer comes, is it always on my harness when climbing muti-pitch routes. It is versatile and comfortable and best of all lightweight. I gifted this jacket to a good friend who owns a ranch and she tells me it is also perfect for riding horses!! I hope they never stop making this jacket!!!
