hi what is the difference between Ralle Parka and therme down parka?

Hi Bella, thanks for reaching out. Both the Therme Down Parka and Ralle Parka are designed for cold, wet conditions, but they differ in insulation, materials, and features. The Therme Down Parka uses 750-fill European grey goose down with synthetic insulation in areas where moisture may build up, for maximum warmth. The Ralle Parka uses Coreloft™ synthetic insulation, which retains warmth when wet. The Therme also features a more robust 200D GORE-TEX ePE fabric, additional external dump pockets, and a heavier overall build at 1,230 g. The Ralle uses a lighter 80D GORE-TEX ePE fabric and weighs 837 g. Depending on your intended use case and insulation preference, you may prefer the additional features and down insulation of the Therme Down Parka or the lighter design and synthetic insulation of the Ralle Parka. The jacket has remained the same since its last revision in Winter 2025, all features, materials, fit, and performance are unchanged, with only new colourways added to the lineup.

Will Therme be significantly warmer than the Thorium for an average person in mild conditions? I understand Therme has 112g fill weight and Thorium Hoody has 146g fill weight but a lot of sources appear to indicate Therme is significantly warmer.

Hi there, thank you for your question! Yes, while the Thorium Hoody Men's contains more down by weight, the Therme Down Parka Men's generally feels warmer because of its overall construction. In a size Medium (the base size), the Therme uses 112.25g of 750-fill European grey goose down and has a finished weight of 1285g, but it pairs that insulation with a GORE-TEX shell, a heavier 200d face fabric, and a longer parka length that traps more heat. On the other hand, the Thorium Hoody contains 147.59g of the same 750‑fill down but has a much lighter finished weight of 515g, and uses a 30d Nylon face fabric. Because warmth is influenced by factors beyond down weight, the Therme typically feels warmer when worn as a standalone piece, even though the total down weight is slightly less than Thorium. That said, at this time, we do not assign specific temperature ratings to our products because warmth can depend on various factors, including activity level, layering, and personal comfort.

I’m a bigger dude around 300lbs with wide upper back and broad shoulders and a bit of a belly. Would the 2XL fit me ?

How does this version compare to the previous Therme Parka SV (down weight, goretex specs, length, etc)? Hopefully the SV comes back next season!

The current FW25 Therme Down Parka Men's (X000009914) and the previous Therme SV Parka Men's (last release in FW23 - model X000006986) share similar design intent but differ slightly in insulation, GORE-TEX materials, and length. Both jackets use 750 fill power European grey goose down for insulation, but the Therme Down Parka contains approximately 112.25 g of down in the base size (size Medium), while the Therme SV contains about 205.9 g. Both jackets feature a 2L GORE-TEX membrane; the current Therme Down Parka Men's uses a PFAS-free ePE membrane, whereas the previous Therme SV Parka uses an ePTFE membrane, which is made with PFAS. In terms of coverage, the center-back lengths are very similar: approximately 91 cm for the current Therme versus 92 cm for the Therme SV in size Medium.

Hi Gaje, thank you for your question! The Therme Down Parka Men's and the Ralle Down Parka Men's are both great options for cold conditions and are very similar, but there are a few differences. Both parkas use 750‑fill European grey goose down for warmth; however, the Ralle also includes Coreloft™ synthetic insulation in moisture‑prone areas, along with Fortius™ Air 20 panels at the back and under the sleeves to provide added airflow. The Therme does not include these features and is only insulated with down. The outer fabrics differ as well: the Therme uses a more robust 200D (denier) 2‑layer GORE‑TEX ePE, while the Ralle is built with a lighter 80D 2‑layer GORE‑TEX ePE. The pocket layout is also slightly different; the Therme features additional external dump pockets for storage. Lastly, the Therme has a slightly more substantial overall build, weighing 1,230 g, while the Ralle weighs 919 g. We hope this helps!
