This bag goes with me everywhere

A great bag that fits my daily essentials and more. Nice fabric on the backside. I use it mostly as a shoulder bag, but it can be turned into a waist bag quickly. No hanging loose straps. The mobile phone pocket is genious.

Small bag with big attributes

This is my go to travel sling. It is very comfortable and holds my passport, reading glasses, travel meds, money, etc., and I don’t need to ever to take it off. Of all my many Arc products this one has served me the best.

Useful but needs revision

I like the size and design of this pack, but compared to prior versions, the strap on the new version is too stiff. I agree with other reviewers that the strap has caused some unnecessary damage or pilling to my tops or fleece jackets. I hope Arc'teryx will fix this flaw.

My every day bag!! I love the size and pocket on back that an iPhone slips perfectly into. For daily living it fits phone/keys/wallet and sunglasses. For outdoor activities it fits phone/keys/granola bar/dog bags. Get one ! You’ll love it.

Sac Super fonctionnel !!

J’adore le sac il y a beaucoup d’espace et la poche extérieur pour le cellulaire est très pratique. Je lui donne 4 étoiles pour deux raisons :
1- la ganse est trop courte pour apprécier le crossbody qui est la façon la plus adaptée pour la grosseur du sac
2- la poche intérieur a un panneau qui ne sers à rien comme plusieurs l’ont déjà mentionné

Awesome but needs longer strap!

Bag is great. Plenty of pockets and organization. The perfect size for every day carry items. It is comfortable and stylish yet the only downside is the strap. I’m 5’10” and at full length the strap hugs a little higher up the torso kinda close to my armpit. I wish it was slightly longer so it would lay above my waist. Others than that the bag is amazing.

I have several of these bags in different colours and use them instead of handbags - my black one is for more formal occasions. They're my favourite bag ever, so comfortable and easy to use, keeps things safe from pickpockets unlike backpacks. I love the key leash and the little band that holds the end of the strap from flapping, and really really love the phone pocket. I'd be interested in a bigger size e.g. 3.5 litres for days out with the kids.

Too short strap. Returned.

The bag is great. However the strap is short. Almost 15 cm shorter than on the Maka 2. I will have to continue to look for a sling that has the same good attributes as the mantis but with a longer strap.

Some great features, minus the divider sleeve

I bought my 3rd Mantis this year. Some updates are good, like the upgraded fabric and convenient, adequately-sized cellphone pocket. What I was not a fan of was the sleeve in the central compartment. So annoying it was to my packing of the bag and retrieving contents, that I eventually cut it out. The bag became useful from that point on. I bought this Mantis 2 in the color Velocity (and an Arctic Snow 2 for my daughter, which she uses often).

Mantis 2 Waist Pack is perfection

I bought this after really enjoying the Mantis 1 but wanting something a little larger for days that require more things. I really like the quality of the Mantis and I can keep items separately and organized. I like having both sizes and being able to wash them easily. I have a net bag that I use and wash in the gentle cycle.

Great product but wishing for a better strap

Been eyeing this bag for my EDC. Very happy with my purchase, but if this review would allow me to provide suggestions for improvement - it would be the for the strap material. I wish that the next version would have a not as rough material (skin friendly), and I'd be happy to purchase it again.

Great Bag - you won’t be disapointed!

Recently bought this colour for my wife & at the same time purchase alternative colour for myself. Great bag that holds a good amount of items and has a good selection of zip storage areas including an inner zip storage area with a key leash. The idea of adding a mobile phone storage area on the rear padded section is excellent & is really useful to keep your phone safely stored but close to hand. My wife also thought the bag was great, stored everything she needed it to and was very comfortable to use and wear. This bag has great padding on the side close to your body with a material that allows some breathability. The bag is also sold at a great price point and offers excellent value for money. Colour options are also very good. If you buy this bag for everyday compact, light carry you won’t be disappointed!

Lots of space for everything you need to bring

This is probably the product I use most often and every day. I am happy that I can fit everything in this bag that I always want to bring with me. I love the separate phone pocket. The bag has enough room so I can sort all my stuff. It also fits a 0.5 liter bottle. I never want to miss this bag anymore and got lots of compliments. My friends and family also bought the bag after I demonstrated the features and it became the one we use the most. It's also a great gift.

Horrible Strap

I’ll never understand why arc’teryx never mentions the length of their straps. Maybe because they are ridiculously short ? But this years straps are about 2-3inches shorter than last years Mantis 2 bags. If you’re a smaller sized human it works well depending on where you like the bag to sit but if you’re slightly above average or prefer the bag to sit lower in the body the strap is too short and the bag chokes your neck and sits under your armpit. Great price , horrible strap.

Material shredding less than 1 year

Please do not purchase the Mantis 2 Waist Pack. I bought one and worn it twice in less than a year and the material in the back of the waist pack started to come undone and started shredding. After contacting Arcteryx, I'm told that this is not covered under warranty and it's wear and tear. I do not recommend purchasing this waist pack and probably will not support Arcteryx in the future because of their poor customer service and warranty.

Great little bag.

Having mulled over buying this I finally took the plunge and I’m so glad I did. Bought it to accommodate all my bits and pieces when dog walking. It does exactly what is needed and for a relatively small bag it holds loads. The sections are really useful to separate items. The quality is excellent and I’m sure will be very durable. It also looks really smart. Love it.

Good mid-size bag

I have a Mantis 1 since many years, but find that a bit too small - Mantis 2 is large enough to hold a pair of glasses, wallet, keys, phone and some more light stuff. Great to have a zippered pocket inside.
Would not pack it too heavy, since the strap is not so wide and can not distribute the load so well over my shoulder, and the buckle also can get a bit annoying.
The pack itself is very light. I got the wonderful Edziza (yellow) colour, to contrast to all black, grey and dark blue clothes I have - great!
