Question 1

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Question 5

How does this jackets warmth compare to the Atom jacket?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, the Elec Insulated Jacket offers slightly more warmth than the Atom Jacket, despite both using Coreloft™ Compact 60 insulation and sharing the same liner and face fabric. The key difference lies in construction: the Elec eliminates the Atom’s stretch fleece side panels, which are designed for breathability and mobility but allow more heat to escape. By using insulated fabric throughout the entire body, the Elec provides more consistent thermal coverage. If you’re looking for a similar feel to the Atom but with a bit more insulation and a different fit, the Elec is a great choice.

Question 6

How warm is the jacket? for which temperature?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, the Elec Insulated Jacket is a lightweight, breathable piece designed for hiking and versatile enough for everyday wear. It features Coreloft™ insulation, which retains warmth even when wet and recovers easily after being packed down repeatedly. Ideal as a standalone jacket on colder spring days or as a reliable midlayer when the temperature drops, the Elec offers comfort, mobility, and packability for a range of conditions. Please note that we do not assign temperature ratings to our garments, as warmth can vary greatly depending on factors like activity level, layering, and personal comfort.
