Question 1

I am 6 '4" and 180 lbs (tall slim build) what size would work best?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thanks for reaching out. Without your full body measurements it’s difficult to recommend an exact size for the Ski Guide Pant, especially since fit preference plays a big role. At 6'4" and 180 lbs, we suggest taking your waist, hip, and inseam measurements and comparing them with our sizing chart to find the best match. You can stay with your usual size for a more standard fit, or size up if you prefer extra room or plan to layer more heavily. We also offer free returns within 30 days, as long as the item is new and unworn with tags attached.

Question 2

When will Medium (Short) be restocked?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. At this time, we do not have specific restock dates or a timeline for when size Medium - Short will go back in stock. That said, availability will fluctuate as we move through the seasons, and periodic restocks may occur. We recommend using the "Notify Me" feature on the product page to be updated as soon as the size and colour you are looking for go back in stock. You're also welcome to sign up for the Arc'teryx newsletter to stay updated on product drops and exclusive offers, or look to one of our authorized Arc'teryx dealers for any additional item availability.

Question 3

How low does the front zip go. Can I relieve myself without taking the suspenders down?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Ski Guide Bib Pant in our base size, medium, has a front rise of 24.5 cm. This measurement gives you an idea of the front zipper length and how much access it provides, but you may still need to adjust the suspenders depending on your preference and fit. We hope this helps!

Question 4

Is there a cinch towards the top of the waist area? Or should one size to his exact waist size for optimal fit?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Adam, thanks for reaching out. The Ski Guide Bib Pant does not feature a cinch at the waist. It features waist loops to accommodate a belt, so we recommend choosing your true waist size for the best fit. As always, checking the sizing chart with your full measurements can help ensure the most accurate fit. We hope this helps!

Question 6

Is one of the pockets suitable as a beacon pocket (leash and clip) and big enough for a Mammut Barryvox S2? It looks like one of the photos shows a beacon in one of the pockets but want to make sure before I pull the trigger.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Ski Guide Bib Pant does not feature a dedicated beacon pocket. It features two large bib pockets with key clips, hand pockets, high-capacity thigh pockets with volume pleats, and a security sleeve and key clip inside the right thigh pocket. We hope this helps!

Question 7

Pouvez vous me donner les grandeurs pour Xl tall et L tall ?

River · Accepted Answer

Bonjour, voici les mesures de la salopette Ski Guide:

Grandeur L-Tall
Tour de taille: 107.6 cm
Tour des hanches: 126.6 cm
Longueur de jambe: 90.7 cm

Grandeur XL-Tall
Tour de taille: 117.6 cm
Tour des hanches: 136.6 cm
Longueur de jambe: 91.9 cm

Question 8

I need a bib that has 81 cm in the thigh because of a medical issue. Does your xxl have this amount of room in the thigh?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Chaz, thank you for reaching out and sharing your needs with us. We completely understand how important fit is in this situation. The Ski Guide Bib in size XXL has a thigh width of 88.2 cm, while the XL measures 82.5 cm. Since you require at least 81 cm, both sizes would provide the necessary room in the thigh, with the XXL offering the most generous fit.

Question 9

The specifications list the following in pocket configuration: a security sleeve and key clip inside the right thigh pocket. Is this pocket suitable for an avalanche transceiver? Or is that NOT the intent?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, great question. While the Ski Guide Bib Pant’s right thigh pocket includes a security sleeve and key clip, it’s not intended for avalanche transceiver storage. That pocket is designed for small, non-critical items and doesn’t offer the consistent positioning or protection needed for a transceiver in avalanche terrain. For safety and reliability, we recommend using the chest harness provided with your transceiver. This ensures optimal signal transmission and accessibility when it matters most.

Question 10

How does the fit of this updated version compare to the previous version?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for your question! There have been some sizing revisions compared to previous models. For reference, the men's base size MR in the Fall/Winter 2021 version measured 96.0 cm at the waist, 111.5 cm at the hips, and 72.0 cm at the thigh. In the 2025 version, size MR now measures 100 cm at the waist, 119.0 cm at the hips, and 72.5 cm at the thigh. We hope this helps clarify the fit and sizing updates.
