Question 2

On paper, the Women's large is right in the middle of my chest size, but, compared to Men's, is there a difference arm hole circumference? The womens will allow me to go from t-shirt to insulation layers chest wise, but possibly pinch too much under-arm

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question and for checking out the Norvan 7 Vest. The armhole circumference for the women's Large is 69cm, while the men's Large is 77cm. Men's and women's garments are designed with different proportions, so areas like the armholes and shoulders will fit differently between the two styles. If you're between sizes or concerned about underarm comfort, you're welcome to order both vests to try at home and return the one that doesn't fit. We offer free returns within 30 days of purchase and delivery, and you can start the process anytime through our returns page: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/help/returns. We hope this helps!

Question 3

Question 4

How can you attach trekking poles to the vest? For when they are not actively in use but you do need them accessible. A video would be super helpful!

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. One way to carry your trekking poles with the Norvan 7 Vest is by securing each pole using the top and bottom chest adjustment points on each side of the vest. This can be a convenient and accessible option while on the move. That said, we recommend visiting one of our Brand Stores with your poles so you can try a few different setups in person and find what feels most comfortable and secure for you. We hope this helps!

Question 5

How do I choose the right vest size? Is it based only on my chest measurement?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Sarah, yes! To find the right fit for the Norvan 7 Vest, simply measure your chest and compare it to our sizing chart. To do this, keep your arms relaxed at your sides and measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest.

Question 6

What is the difference between the men’s and the women’s versions/fits?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Lisa, the men’s and women’s Norvan 7 Vest differ primarily in fit and design to accommodate anatomical differences. The men’s version features a broader fit with straighter straps and a longer torso, tailored for a wider chest and shoulders. The women’s version has a narrower fit with straps positioned higher and contoured to provide better comfort around the chest and waist, as well as a shorter torso to suit women’s proportions. Both versions offer the same 7L capacity, technical features, and performance, ensuring comfort and functionality for all users.

Question 7

One of the black clips that secure the front of my vest has fallen off (& unfortunately gone missing). Do you know the name of this clip so I can purchase another?

Austin · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that one of your clips has gone missing. We recommend completing a Product Service Request form and one of our representatives will see if we can help you in any way. https://arcteryx.com/gb/en/help/product-service/service-request

Question 8

Hi, how do I care for this vest in terms of washing? can i wash it on the hand wash setting without fabric softener?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Andrea, we recommend washing the Norvan 7 vest by surface clean only. Using only water, or with a mild detergent, scrub the Norvan 7 Vest with a soft brush or sponge. Then you can rinse the vest thoroughly to remove any detergent residue. We do not recommend using any source of heat for drying, you can simply leave it to air-dry. We hope this helps.

Question 9

Is there space to fit a light jacket rolled up ?

Charlie · Accepted Answer

Hello there. Thank you for your interest in our running gear. The Norvan 7 vest would be able to fit a light jacket. If you are looking for another option, we also offer the Norvan 14 vest which would be able to contain more while staying lightweight : https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/shop/norvan-14-vest

Question 10

I need to train with a weighted backpack, and want wights in front as well as in back. Could I use this vest for that purpose?

Seymour · Accepted Answer

Hello Annie

The Norvan 7 Vest is designed as a fast hike/run pack so in theory you shouldn't be taking so much gear that it makes it burdensome to run. If it's too heavy to move quickly over technical vertical terrain you probably have too much in it.

Thanks for reaching out, and if you have any other questions be sure to give our Customer Service Line a call or fill out a Contact Us Form.
