Leichter Schuh für alpines Laufen

Der Vertex Speed Low ist ein sehr spezieller Schuh der für alpines, felsiges Gelände gebaut ist, daher auch die robuste Außensohle und der harte Gummi. Gerade beim "Scrabmling" ist er ideal, extrem leicht für seine Robustheit und man fühlt die spitzeren Steine nicht durch. Wenn es auf der Tour viel Fels gibt und man dort einen guten Halt braucht - meine Schuhwahl Nummer 1!
Allerdings unterstützt er die Laufbewegung gerade auf einfachen, flachen Trails nicht so sehr -er rollt weniger gut, da er sonst im technischen Gelände nicht so gut halten würde.

Da ich viel in technischem Gelände unterwegs bin und es liebe, schnelles Laufen mit leichter Kletterei zu verbinden, habe ich lange auf einen richtig guten Schuh gewartet, der beides kann. Endlich ist der Vertex Speed da! Er ist für mich die perfekte Verbindung aus Leichtigkeit, hervorragendem Laufgefühl und Sicherheit am Fels. Die ultrarutschfeste Vibram-Sohle hat einen unfassbaren Halt auch auf nassem Fels, die "climbing zone" im Vorfuß ermöglicht auch das sichere Steigen und Kraxeln in leichten Kletterpassagen bis zum 4. Grad. Im Herbst und Winter bevorzuge ich die Version mit hoher Gamasche (Vertex Speed Shoe), aber bei warmen Bedingungen im Sommer ist der Vertex Speed Low mein absoluter Favorit.

Awesome approach shoe

I’ve had these shoes for about a month and k really like them for my use. I use them as an approach shoe and not a running shoe. They are very stable as an approach shoe and I don’t have the same issue of rolling ankles that I had with my trail runners. If you’re buying this as a trail runner shoe it might not be cushioned enough but as an approach shoe it’s great. The comfort is pretty good and I find that the toe box is pretty big on this shoe. The only issue with this shoe that I’ve found is the sizing is very off. I sized down quite a bit from my street shoe size to get something that fit properly. Make sure to try these on before purchasing.

Good Shoe!!

These shoes are made of great materials! Very sturdy design and very comfortable for their designed purpose. My only complaint would be that the softer foam under the heel flattens out very fast after a few runs and the toe box feels a little large for their designed purpose size of shoe I wear. But all things considered this is a solid shoe.
