Ines climbs so fluidly with an ethereal and rather effervescent spark, it leads one to question: is she from the earth? She could care less about the name, reputation or mountain, she just likes to find her own way. Dynamic and resolute, Ines has a fondness for challenges, whether they be mental, physical or logistical. With over 20 World Cup places under her belt and a legendary overall win in 2005 at Ouray, Ines has shattered society’s gender gap in climbing, which is a barrier which she herself has never actually ascribed to. Being a lover of anything 'alpine style', Ines finds solace in the untraveled. From Nepal to the Baffin Islands to Southern Africa, to the Alps and everywhere in between, Ines has opened some of the most difficult routes on earth’s most formidable peaks. She never takes herself too seriously, a trait which compliments her gracious nature and harmonious spirit. She motivates and inspires not just those who climb with her, but those who just admire her.
