I noticed the Mionn Insulated Jacket has tiny sparkles from its DWR coating. Since both sides are treated, is it normal for the lining to look significantly sparklier than the exterior

Hi there, thank you for your question. Yes, what you're seeing is normal. The Mionn Insulated Jacket uses both TerraTex™ nylon on the exterior and a lightweight 20d nylon lining on the interior. Nylon can naturally have a slight sheen depending on the weave and yarn size. Because the lining is smoother and lighter than the TerraTex™ shell, it can reflect light more strongly and appear “sparklier” in certain angles or lighting. To clarify one point: the DWR treatment is applied to the exterior fabric only. There’s no DWR on the inside of the jacket, so the sparkle you’re seeing on the lining isn’t related to any coating; it’s simply the natural finish of the nylon.
