Nicely Made, But Bad Sizing!

Jacket is really well made, very warm for a fall hike, mid layer in winter ! EXCEPT Arc’teryx sizing is way out to lunch! A Large fits like an X-Large and the Medium fits like a Small! (I’m 5’9” 153LBs) THERE IS NO MEDIUM FIT Jacket. Every other brand out there , Patagonia, Northface, Marmot- Med is just that, Large is just that. Not Arc’teryx!! Swimming in a large and the medium designed for a very small guy!

EXPENCIVE TRACK TOP

Compared to the previous version this is definitely a step down in materials. Very soft and comfortable inside, but not feel like shell jacket. Pockets fine. Slimmer than Gamma MX hoody. As very many other customers I'm worrying about the materials all over with Arcteryx.

great shell BUT

love this jacket BUT after about 5-6 years the pockets began to come unglued as well as the lower pull chord sleeve that holds the cord inside. I have had to hot glue the pockets on the chest a few times and the cord sleeve is just a mess. perhaps you could address this problem then I would feel better about buying it again. quite frankly for $350 for a shell I could see that this doesn't occur. I love your products however this keeps me from purchasing any other jackets especially that are the next levels $700-$800 purchases.

Das stimmt! Habe auch schon bei mehreren (!) Jacken erlebt dass die Verklebung nicht hält, vor allem am Unterrand der Jacken. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist, dass sich die Gummi-Leiste am Reissverschluß einrollt, sieht auch nicht schön aus wenn man die Jacke offen trägt...

I love this jacket. Lightweight but warm. A great fit for a tall guy (6'3" - XL). Color (solitude) is very cool. A number of people have remarked positively upon seeing it. I bought it to wear daily, but also to stick in the bottom of a back pack when hiking in the shoulder seasons or at altitude

Well-designed jacket

I love the sleeves are not too long and the cuffs are perfectly designed / contoured so as to not extend over the palm of your hand. The jacket is light but provides decent warmth, which is perfect for autumn / winter in Paris. The fit through the body is roomy and also not too long, which is also good for layering and daily usage.

Needs pit zips!!!

This jacket used to be awesome! I had one for years - great protection from wind and cold when climbing on my tele's and then threw a hard-shell over it for the downhills. I finally need to replace it but the new model no longer has pit-zips which are a must-have for the climbing :-(

Stylish and sporty softshell

I really like the revised Gamma MX Jacket. The updated fit make it more usable in different settings. More room for light layering. It also feels softer than the previous version, less stiff. Use it primarily for urban use, its very stylish and sporty. Would love to see more colors, including dark neutral earth tones, dark olive.
