quality of arcteryx log is poorly made.
I'm quite happy with the warmth and fit of this jacket; however, the logo is printed onto the material rather than stitched like many other Arc'teryx products. After just one wash (carefully following the care instructions), about two-thirds of the "ARC'TERYX" logo on the hood peeled off (see attached photo), which was really disappointing. Now I'm afraid to wash it again, worried that the chest logo might peel as well.
Given that prices have been steadily rising, I hope Arc'teryx also focuses on improving the quality of their products. It's undeniable that consumers pay a premium for the brand name — and when the logo peels off, it feels like half the value is lost.

For anyone wondering, this is a review of the proton lightweight (previous version). I was almost put off by this. This updated version is supposed to have embroidered logo's.

Light, Tough, and Trail-Ready — Go-To Midlayer!
I’ve been waiting on this specific one to be my new go-to active midlayer jacket, and it didn’t disappoint. The materials and quality are on point, and it’s held up well on my recent hikes around the Squamish area. The hood feels a bit smaller than the one on my Atom (same size, Large), but the fit still works great. Also, I’m loving the Dynasty color — bold, clean, and looks even better in person.

The lightest, most breathable option in our Insulation Collection, the Proton SL Hoody takes the guesswork out of warming up on cold climbs and other high-output activities in cool conditions. The knit insulation holds its loft and shape—no matter how often you stuff it into the bottom of your pack. More importantly, it allows your body to breathe, so you’re not left a sweaty mess after you have to step on the gas to get through the crux.
What's been updated: Updated with recycled Fortius™ fabric for improved durability, and chest pocket and design lines that align with the Proton Collection.
