Love the fit, loved the size and weight. It looks good on face. I would highly recommend.

Brim flops around into my face and obstructs my line of sight. It feels like the product wasn't actually tested and does not live up to Arcteryx's reputation for meticulous design and high performance. I say this as someone who owns a pair of Sabre ski pants and Fission mittens-- I am happy with these products. There are comparable "unstructured" caps from Satisfy and Ciele that are light, packable, and have brims that don't flop around like the Norvan. In the interests of being completely fair -- the Norvan fit my head well and it is light. That said, I still would not recommend it because the floppy brim is such a huge design issue.

Easily the best cap i have invested in. perfect styling, the shortness of the peak is just spot on. i'm not a fan of big peaks. its lightweight and breathable so can be worn all day with no discomfort or itchiness. tempted to bulk buy a stash of them for if arcteryx every decide to discontinue them as i truly believe i will never buy another cap style again.

I had the previous version norvan hat which was a remarkable hat specimen. So I bought 2 of these new versions for trail running, unfortunately the bill is so unstructured that it flaps around in a most annoying manner. It's ok if there is zero wind, but the slightest breeze makes the bill flap like a chicken wing. I run with the bill flipped up, which helps a little, but does nothing for sun protection. Otherwise it would be a good hat.

The Norman Cap is just magic. Extremely light, however it plays as a gladiator in terms of protection and versatility against adverse weather conditions. The construction of the cap is just perfect, details are simply at level PRO. No issues regarding wind, the cap is firm and safe around your head. I have appreciated the fact that it keeps you dry and feel always comfortable; love the fact that there are no internal constrictions. When you get it, you understand why is so expensive. Great piece. Got the yellow first, then I have ordered the black.

First this seemed like the perfect running cap. It is lightweight, gives good protection from the sun, breaths good, dries fast, feels good and looks good. Then I noticed that the brim is not stiff enough. When it gets wet from rain or sweat, or the wind hits your face, it bends down. That is annoying and not very functional. So I hope Arc´teryx will make a stiffer brim for a trail running cap next time. I then prefer using the older Arc´teryx Calvus cap for longer runs, ultras and races.

Slick hat, very light. For reference, the bill is ~1/4" shorter than my Arc'teryx trucker cap. I have a large-ish head (~22 3/4") but ordered the S/M. It fits perfectly, with room to adjust both smaller and larger. I wouldn't recommend order the L/XL unless you have a truly enormous melon.

I always struggle with hats getting too warm during activity so I was super excited to find this! Ultra lightweight, and the SM/MD fits my small head!

This is my 2nd cap. I prefer the older design for the lid. This updated version’s lid is too floppy and the gusty winds bend it over my eyes. Will be using a different Nike cap for long runs or when I know it’s breezy. Better designed way to tighten the cap on this new version.

This iteration is a downgrade from last season's. The one I bought last summer was IMMACULATE. Please bring it back! I really need another one in case the one I have rips/gets lost!!!

No UVF protection and the peak flaps around annoying in the wind. So quite pointless a cap really

The only cap I could find for my big head. I initially bought it for cycling to sit under my helmet but it's a pretty sporty cap for casual wear as well.

It's incredibly lightweight. I just wonder why there are not more colors available (white or light blue, red, green...). Since it's meant to protect from the sun, why not offer lighter shades that reflect the sun? Also the size is a little off, on the bigger side. If you have a normal sized head get the S/M (L is huge).

This cap is so lightweight! The material is light and thin which will be great/fast drying for sweaty hot runs. It's so tiny you can scrunch it up and stuff it in your running vest.

Recently purchased to add an extra color pop and this hat did not disappoint. I’ve cycled through a lot of hats and as a heavy sweater, you couldn’t tell based on the performance in this hat. It was bone dry after my run. Best hat I’ve owned. Going to buy many more.

The fits is nice even if it's for athletics. I love the material that is super light.

This cap is so lightweight you don't notice it on your head or under a helmet. Collapsible, and shape bounces back well considering how minimal it is. It's a go-to year round.

The hat feels great, is super light, super airy, size adjust is perfect and my favourite part is the L/XL size is actually deep enough! It's hard for me to find caps that come down far enough on my big head. Instructions say spot clean only... not going to happen. I've thrown it in the wash machine in a clothing bag and it's been fine.

I bought this to bring backpacking. But of course I can use it for around town. I love the hat! But I do have to say if you’re in between getting the S/M or L/XL. I would say get the smaller size. I had to buy the S/M after realizing the L/XL was a little big. I was still able to cinch it down, but the back of the hat has a lot of slack. So this hat just is light and easy to fold up into my pack. I also don’t always wear hats so it’s nice that it’s so light it won’t be such a burden bringing a hat

I've had the norvan cap for a few months now and have used it on a great deal of hot summer hikes. The hat is incredibly lightweight at only an ounce, which makes it feel barely there while wearing it. I got this hat in black and am happy I did, as the dark fabric dries very quickly. I like the styling and had no problem with the fit. There are a few aspects of this hat that you should be aware of though before purchasing. The first is that the brim is not supported. So over time with simple use the brim will become misshapen. Not a big deal and doesn't affect performance, but is just a style thing. This said, I can still clip a pinch flashlight onto the brim. The only other gripe is that if you have a very sweaty head, the sweat liner is not quite enough to prevent all the sweat from escaping. There have been times wearing this hat where sweat is pouring off the edge of the brim. I have not had this issues with over hats I've used. It doesn't prevent me from wearing it, but it can be a little annoying. When this happens, I take the hat off and dry it in the sun. Luckily the super thin black material dries very quickly and I can wear in again. If you need a lightweight hat to protect your eyes and face from the sun, this will do it.

I bought this a week ago, I had to size down for this one to get a comfortable fit. I had to honestly order two just to see for myself, I recommend you do the same. Previously I was wearing the elaho as a daily and this is lighter than that model. I'm still curious about how to keep this properly clean other than the surface wash. It's been great to use for biking around and walking around town.

I have tried running hats from countless other brands. All of them pale in comparison to the Norvan. I have bought one in every color released thus far and if Arc’teryx (hopefully) continues to release this hat, I will continue to buy it in every single color. Exceptional. A Gore Shake-Dry version for winter running would be welcome as well.

A very durable and lightweight hat that I've taken on workouts and hikes. I also

hat a lot of lightweight cap but this one here is the best, it breathes very well the brim is long enough to block out the sun. the adjustement at the back is easy to access if you want to really snug it down it's very easy to do that. I use it everyday to commute with the bike and used it also for longer day hikes. The only thing that concerns me is the fabric that adjusts the tightnes of the hat, it came a bit loose.
