I bought this at the start of the ski season. Got the nice bright orange colour. I've always been a size small with Arc'teryx jackets. I'm absolutely swimming in the size small! I get ski jackets should have room, but this was ridiculous. I ended up getting the size XS. The sleeve length is perfect. The body is slim, but good. The waist is tight. Still works when skiing, but have to "lift up" the jacket before getting on the chair, or before charging the hill. Otherwise will be tight and restrictive. I'm not sure why every year they feel the need to keep updating sizing. They had it right years ago. I'm also not sold on the inside pockets not being zippered. Falling, being upside down, etc is all a part of skiing. I would feel much more confident with a zipper holding stuff in the inside pockets, so I don't use them as much as I should.

Really loved the quality of this shell. The only issue I had was the pocket that you keep your ski pass in is on the shoulder. 1. I am 6’5” and this would require I bend in half for the RFID reader to scan. 2. Anyone that has been through a RFID gate knows that you usually have to move the pass around for it to read. I can’t imagine doing this with it up by my shoulder. Put the pocket on the sleeve by wrist so I can easily scan it. Other than that. It looked perfect.

Great quality and look. Excited about the jacket but a little bit disappointed with the sleeve length. Waist and chest fit well but the sleeve length is way too long. Decided to return

The Jacket offers great Quality and Design but it fits a bit large, so I had to send it back. Unfortunally the right size is not available. The colour of the zips is a bit strange.

Originally purchased the Large, found sizes ran a little big. Exchanged on line for a Medium. Very satisfied.

I have put this jacket through the ringer this season. Scraped in on hundreds of trees while riding, spilled hot coffee down the front of it on multiple occasions, rain, sleet, snow - Tahoe winter hasn't been gentle so far. It's held up wonderfully and shows little to no signs of wear.

With the Arcteryx products it’s hardly ever a miss. Only the best, thank you guys! The shell is awesome, practical and sturdy!

You dont feel any wind and the water and the snow just sits on the jacket i love it.

A well balanced design for both resort and backcountry skiing. Slim enough to wear with a a single base layer on warm days and also enough space for multiple insulated layers on very cold days. Love the length and cut of the sleeves that are slightly longer over the top of your hand. Vents are well placed. Climbing skins pockets are perfectly sized and positioned. Only have 10ish days of wear so far, but seems like the exterior fabric will be very durable. Only feedback for design improvement are: -The neck becomes tight when the front zipper is fully closed and hood is down while wearing a helmet. -Add even stronger fabric on the shoulders for when you're carrying skis on your shoulder (like across a parking lot) and for extended backpack use.

Love the Jacket. It’s very light and feels very comfortable. The Daze color looks way better in person. There are a few things i wish this jacket would have. 1- bigger inside pockets and chest pockets. The jacket also runs a little big, so i have to purchase size small. I’m 5’11 and 155 pounds

I’ve had this jacket ( 2021 Sabre AR not revised version ) for 2 years in size L in the sense colour (pink salmon colour) and I have to say, I do really like this jacket, but it’s not perfect ! I’ll go through the Pros and Cons and my opinions of the Jacket. For reference I am 5’ 11” 200lbs more athletic build ( broad shoulders, bigger than average chest and arms) 33-34” pant waist. Pros- The jacket is solid, extremely durable, and really warm. I have no worries about damaging the jacket with ripping through trees, bushwhacking while touring, or tomahawking down the hill. The Goretex is less noisy and crunchy than the Alpha and Beta AR LT jackets, but still quite thick! Having the powder skirt is a bonus but I really wish I had the matching pants or bibs so I could clip them together ! I like the beak on the hood does a great job of keep snow off the face while touring or while it’s dumping, lots of pull strings on the hood too to customize fit. The Goretex waterproof is perfect for what you need for resort or back country days ! Cons - Size, as you can see in the comments a lot of people are concerned about the fit and sizing of the Sabre, they aren’t wrong. The jacket on me is a little tight for me throughout the trunk and on the waist, the arms have enough room but the sleeves are way too long by about 3”, lots of room in the shoulders, and I think the hood is a little too tight with a helmet, it’s snug when not cinched up which is ok when touring, but when it’s up on the way down or all day at the resort it’s a bit restrictive and tight when you’re trying to look around and turn your head, I wear a M Oakley Mod1 helmet that’s pretty low profile also. The jacket isn’t as packable as most jackets, like I said it is durable and thick which is great but if you’re looking for a packable jacket to toss in your bag touring this isn’t it, I usually have to hang it through my backpack or I just keep it on and open up the vents. I wish the vents had some mesh or something because they’re huge and definitely let in a ton of snow on deep days. To wrap it up, amazing jacket, try it on in store before purchasing if you can, I think Arcteryx should make a Lt and an AR it would be nice to see this jacket with a lighter more packable jacket that’s not as thick. Hopefully they revise the sizing issue and tweak the hood! If they did that this jacket would be the one !

Just took this jacket to flagstaff to snowboard and absolutely loved it. The flannel lining is soft and better than the raw microgrid backing. Fully waterproof and windproof, large wrist adjustments that can be adjusted with mittens, great snow skirt and internal pockets. Stayed dry and warm and it allowed me to snowboard all day.

Was easy to order and I received it within days. Been out for walks in the rain and it’s been great.

Loved the jacket, material and quality was obvious. I tried the XL and Large. It seems I am somehow in between. I did not like the fit of either.

I'm 6'2" and 180lbs with an average build. I ordered a Large jacket and bibs. When they first arrived I was wondering if I should exchange it for a Medium. The fit is much larger than my large Theta AR was. I can comfortably wear a 750 fill down coat underneath and it looks and fits great. I could not fit the same down coat under the Theta. So far I've worn them about half a dozen times snowmobiling. I also intend to wear them snowboarding as well as in the fall and spring for cool rainy days fishing. I'll just change out the insulating layer as needed. The jacket will eventually become my every day fall/winter jacket. The jacket will be pretty large to wear just as a rain coat in the summer without some sort of insulating layer underneath. If I was just going to wear a fleece, hoody or less I'd probably want a Medium. A lot of my winter activities are not very active so I wanted something big enough for thick insulating layers underneath. The cut/fit is excellent. There is no binding of fabric anywhere that I've noticed. The snow skirt so far has been unnecessary but has never been an issue or in the way. I think it'll be an asset in the deeper snow and colder days on the board or sled. The hood is taking a bit of getting used to. I really prefer the drop hood for looks and comfort but it was noticeably colder in the wind.

Medium fit fairly well in the length, but was a bit too tight in the shoulders and across the chest. A little restrictive. Large fit well across the chest, but was too long, even with a base layer and insulating layer. Sleeves went well past my fingertips. In general, I’m a size large. 5’ 11”, 182 lbs. Had to return both. Otherwise, the jacket was just about perfect from a material and construction standpoint. Kinda disappointed it didn’t work out. If the fit works for you, I’d certainly buy this jacket.

I've been skiing in this bomber for 8 years and not even a scratch on it. Washed and cleaned as per instructions, still repelling water. Now its time for the Rush to take it's turn :)

I love this jacket. It is a little heavier than the beta or rush, but has a softer flannel like laminated lining. Feels more substantial than the lighter, more technical jackets. Less crinkly when moving. Wish this model still had the chest vertical zipper pocket. Sabre pants were equally awesome but without the flannel lining. I initially bought a medium which fits me, but when I threw on a few layers of thermals and a down puffy, the medium was too small. Updated to a large which is a a little big without layering, but works better for skiing IMHO. 6’1” 86kg. Spent two days getting blasted by snow making equipment, and the sleet like stuff coated my goggles and jacket and just dusted off. Stayed warm and dry.

This jacket has been great for the wet snow/rain weather we have been having lately. Also a great addition to my layering system for colder weather. Quality product.

I bought this along with a Arcteryx sabre pants for my boyfriend, he wore both no more than 10x. The last time we went skiing in light snow/rain for about 4 hours, he was soaking wet by the end. All layers underneath were soaked along with his cellphone in his pocket (which now NO LONGER WORKS!!). To be spending over $1000 on Gortex gear, you should not be soaked after 4 hours of skiing in light snow/rain... and he now also needs a new phone. Will not be purchasing from Arcteryx again.

I've had the jacket for a couple ski trips (one out East and another in the Rockies). The jacket held up great in a variety of weather (sunny, snowing, windy) and I never felt too hot or too cold even with lighter layering. The layer of flannel in the jacket contributes a surprising amount for warmth. Jacket obviously looks great. For sizing I ended up buying both a medium and large and ended up going with the large after trying both on. I'm 5'11" 190 lbs and have a fairly large chest (which was the issue with the medium). Feel like the large fits great. Not too baggy or long.

My first Arc Teryx lasted 15 years! I’ll never get anything else!!

I purchased this jacket mainly for snow boarding but also use it for walking and hiking . It’s a fantastic investment as it’s well made and will last, it’s fully water proof and so a perfect shell to keep out the weather and keep in the warmth , I live in Vancouver Canada so we get all the seasons. I always wear a size M and this jacket was a true fit .

Great for skiing,excellent match with atom lt underneath. A bit large compared to other Arc’teryx clothing

Great bomber jacket with enough room to layer. Keeps the most severe wether out, and still fits great when you ditch the layers.
