Abrasive material on neck

Enjoy the orange. Conical bottles fit well but definitely some bounce when full. The upper portion that touches my neck is quite harsh and has caused irritation after two runs. Lots of slick storage and room for a longer days worth of goods. Maybe these vests just don’t fit me but I thought it’d be softer.

Best trail running vest

It is clearly the best trail running vest out there - the confort, the pockets, the volume… BUT I would had something on top of the main compartment in order to close it. Otherwise, when it’s full, stuff can come outside.
And could you please make more colors?

Outstanding vest

I’ve tried a few but for me this is the one and only Trailrunning vest. Plenty of storage and mounting slings on just the right spots. It clearly was designed by someone who understands what a product like this needs to stand out.

I rang head office, because I did not understand the sizes , I took their advice and the product was a bit small, but i think it’s a bit pricey

Perfektem durchdachter Trailrunning Rucksack

Bevor ich mir die Norvan7Vest gekauft habe, habe ich die aktuellen Trailrunnig Vesten von den gängigen namhaften Herstellern anprobiert und musste feststellen, dass die von Arcteryx die für mich mit Abstand beste war. Vor allem die Lage und Ausführung der Taschen und der Perfekte Sitz der Veste haben mich überzeugt. Nebenbei spielte das geringe Gewicht und die Haptik auch eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Kaufentscheidung.
Die Norvan 7 ist komplett fertig durchdacht, es fehlt an nichts und auch nichts zu viel.

Read an online review here about it not being a versatile piece of gear. It’s honestly perfect for the ultralight setup on a run or a mountain bike. I used it for the first time on a 80 mile bike ride where I didn’t want a hydration pack on my back since it’s rather uncomfortable. I didn’t even notice the weight of the vest even with the two bottles filled to the brim. Tons of storage space to hide your belongings such as snacks trash and your layers. I carried 3 gels and two larger carb mixes and it still felt like I could bring more. It fits perfectly with a bike jersey because you still have access with your jersey pockets and it doesn’t obstruct your reach. It’s a great piece of gear honestly.

Being a bigger dude, I usually have a hard time finding a vest that fits right, and that’s why I was initially hesitant at dropping the money for this vest.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the large fit me. I weight in at 240 lbs and have a 46” chest, with large arms that usually rub on vests because the vest will rise up. I basically maxed this vest out, so if your chest is a little larger, I’m not sure it would work without a modification. However, since the chest strap is just some thin cord, it would be easy enough to make a longer cord.
This is the first vest that hardly rides up during my runs, and hugs my sides enough so my arms don’t rub on the vest. Overall it’s very comfortable and cool even in the 90+ degree heat.
I was initially worried that the 1 liter capacity wasn’t enough, but I found I can comfortably put another 2 liter soft flask in the upper back pocket and it rides smoothly without bouncing around or discomfort. Added bonus is you freeze the water and it becomes a topical cooling tool in hot weather as well.

Great summer running vest. Size issues.

I love the simplicity of this vest. It has just the right amount of storage and is very well-made. My only disappointment is regarding the sizing. My chest size is 44 inches and has been for 30 years. I purchased the large, as per the guidelines and I have to crank the chest straps down 100% for it to fit and minimize bounce. If I ever buy another one, I will definitely go with the medium.
