Gamma MX Hose Damen

There are a lot of great things about these pants. I have been using the men's version for backcountry skiing for years (I'm probably on my 3rd pair) but they are too long and generally too big. The women's Gamma MX pants finally have enough pockets for me, 2 side and 2 thigh, so I bought them. The material is really nice, sheds snow readily and seems very sturdy. I like the shock cord cuff which helps cinch the cuff to your boot. I am a little bummed they took away the crampon patch, which is also helpful for not cutting the pants on ski edges. The waist is a bit too big, but the internal belt pretty much fixes this problem. The biggest thing is that they fit me really weird. I am 5'3" and got the size 12 regular. I would have gotten the 29 inch but they were out and I wanted them soon. What it feels like is that the knee articulation is too low for my leg shape, ie the knee of the pant is lower than where my knees actually are. So my knees hit the front of the pants in the thigh area and bind on my thighs. I kind of wish I had realize how uncomfortable this was going to be before I cut the tags and used them for winter hiking because I should have returned them and waited for the 29 to restock. I suspect the knee articulation would have been in a better place for my legs on a petite size pants. So what I'd say is if they fit comfortably these are awesome pants. I'd still recommend to a friend even though they don't work very well for my body shape because if they fit you, then you're golden!
