Finally bit on the arc kit and couldn’t be happier. Skied colder days just as well as warm spring days. Arc makes some Swiss Army knife shells and highly recommend the Sabre kit. I’m 5’10” 200lbs and xl in both fits me perfectly for layering with a bit of bagginess, as I prefer. Super pumped on the kit and should last me a very long time.

The quality was pretty disappoints and this jacket fits loose and is not worth it’s retail

Had a Beta AR for 10 yrs . Bought a Sabre jacket this time out. Skied with the new jacket and love it. Highly recommend this jacket for all your Alpine needs

This seems to be the end of the Arc'teryx athletic fit. I am 6'2", 175lbs, and have been wearing Arc'teryx for 15 years because they have always had a nice trim fit with enough room in the shoulders. No more with this revised fit. I always wear a size large, and in this jacket the cut across the back of the shoulders is way too tight. I can't cross my arms without the fabric pulling, and bending over to strap in results in the sleeves riding up and the fabric pulling tight across my shoulder blades. The articulation is also not as good as previous jackets. The sleeves ride way up my arms and the jacket rides up when I raise my hands. Sizing up to an XL would result in way too much material in the mid section and sleeves that are too long. This new cut is very disappointing and not designed for people with an athletic build anymore.

It took awhile to receive a shipping confirmation (on the 5th busines day after placing the order) which had me worried a bit to get it on time. However, shipping was fast, so I received the jacket on time after all. It's a great jacket, lots of freedom for movement, and it keeps the cold out. Even strong windgusts. I'm 182cm, 86 kilo, and athletic build. According to the sizing table I should go for a Large. However, my previous Sidewinder SV was a Medium, and fits me perfect. I therefor opted for a Medium again, and it fits perfect (with thermo, shirt, and a thick fleece under it).

I bought this awesome jacket a couple weeks ago. Very pleased so far. Thicker than my previous beta Lt and I couldn’t go back now. It kept every flake of snow, every drop of water and every bit of wind off me. The sleeves do run long but in a good way (to go over cuffs on gloves.) I have no complaints.

Good jacket sick colours very noice. Durable few crashes on snow no damage and a nice vents good baggy fit.

I wish I could give this a high rating. The sizing is way off. I'm 6 ft. 1 in., and weigh 190 pounds. Large has always been the perfect size for me, but they missed the mark this time, I love the quality, but the sleeves are at least 6 inches too long. Entire jacket is way bigger than I expected. It feels like a XXL. Try it on before you buy it. Arc Teryx messed up the sizing with this jacket. Not even wearable. I will be returning it.

I bought this last season.. Took it skiing 5 times.. Got snagged on a tree and it ripped.. I see two other reviews talking about how easily this jacket rips... That is bad enough, but I was told by service that because it was not manufacturer's defect they would not fix it, and referred me to external vendor to make repair. I complained that this was a 2 month old $750 jacket and they should repair, even if they charge me for repair.. They allowed me to send it in for evaluation and again advised they would not repair. After more complaining, they agreed to fix it and patched it with a non-matching panel. This jacket is well designed, but the frequent complaints of rips without significant mechanism suggest a materials or construction issue. While I understand that stuff happens, and they can't guarantee against everything.. their refusal to repair (even for cost) such a new and expensive jacket was incredibly frustrating. It shouldn't take 5 emails and phone calls to get a satisfactory resolution. Premium jackets should come with premium service.. My experience was anything but....

Perfect outer layer (shell) for skiing in all conditions. I used this while skiing at Gore Mountain for three days in the rain. The mountian held up and I stayed dry and warm. Perfect for layering under or just great to throw on for walks in the elements.

I bought this new expensive ski jacket for Skiing. On the second day after I wore it, I found a rip in the front so I took it to the store the next day. They told me they will have the professional repair team to fix it. After I contacted the repair team, they gave me two options, one is tape it, and the other option is to send it Gear re-Store with 35 to 100 bucks. To be honest, I was shocked by the responses/solutions. It is a luxury brand and the cloth is just worn once. I felt both the quality and costumer service are really bad. Not recommend it

I love wearing men's ski jacket because they are boxier and roomier than women's ski jackets. I wear a women's small or medium and the men's Sabre in small is perfect for me. This is a great jacket and I love the color blocking. The pockets are large and I like the eternal dump pockets. It's great at keeping the weather out and it keeps me warm in 20° F - 30° F weather.

This is great for skiing although it’s better at colder temps because it’s so warm. It’s burly as hell and the fleece backer makes it extra comfortable. It’s not crinkly sounding at all like the goretex pro. I’d imagine that this is just as durable as gore pro but def less breathable due to the backer. If it’s warmer than 20F I wear softshell otherwise I’d sweat too much since I’m an aggressive skier. So if you run cold or ride in the cold this jacket is perfect. It’s on the heavy size but you won’t notice going down the hill. The hood is great for helmet compatibility as well. The arm cuffs are good but they could be a bit larger. Sometimes I have issues getting my gloves on due to how tight they are. Other than that I have zero issues with it. I do wish the snow skirt was removable but sometimes I use it so it’s not a big deal. The outer fabric def feels tougher than the gore pro of the same denier.

After narrowing down my search for a new ski jacket, I settled on the Sabre, considering the Beta AR, Rush, and Sabre SV. The deciding factors were the powderskirt and fleece liner for added warmth. With a height of 5'10 and weight of 160, I opted for a large, achieving a slightly oversized fit that I'm happy with. I'd give it 4.5 stars if possible. My only complaint lies with the waist hem adjustments—the plastic locks, while functional, they tend to loosen with pulling, feeling less sturdy. Also, the color options are disappointing! I almost chose a women's Sentinel jacket in Boxcar/Pytheas option, but they lacked the right size for me. (The women's large fits like a men's medium and was too tight in the chest.)

1 star given not for product quality as it was top draw as always with Arcteryx. But the sizing is abysmal. I am a 43” chest so got the large. I’m pretty much a large in all brands anywhere. I’m only 5’7” and except that length will always be slightly longer. But this garment was huge on me. Sleeves were 6” too long. Chest and overall jacket size in all directions was ridiculously big. It’s a shell. I get it designed to accommodate layers and having owned many shells I’m know what is required. My advice size your self down. A medium would have fitted me I suspect. Unfortunately Arcteryx would not allow me to exchange and receive the same discount. My advice to Arcteryx is sort your sizes out and consider a bit more customer service.

I am still holding on to my Sabre from 9 years ago… can’t buy a new one until Arc brings back the dedicated collar and remembers colors come in something besides pastels!!!

Already hooked on this product, it's my second Sabre, I just wanted a change of color.

Bought two weeks ago , what a great jacket ,tough and burly

I really like it. The fit is a bit slimmer than the last version which Is ok for me but if your a heavier person I’d recommend trying it on in store before buying. I got the black sapphire and it looks just like it does in the pictures. I stand at 5’8 155-160lbs and it it’s perfect
