Women’s Beta Down Parka

Amazing my light weight and warm. Love how there are so many pockets that were well thought out of.
The nylon shell makes it so easy to clean when dirty without having to wash the coat to clean it. Just wipe it off.

The coat is fashionable, light and with a nice color. Quality is OK with its high price. Very noisy when put on as the previous customer mentioned. The shipping package was extremely cheap and lousy. It looked like I might have bought a counterfeit...

Great jacket, worth the price.
I’ve never worn Arc’teryx before but I was so impressed. Weather has been in the 20s and I just wear a t shirt underneath. Double pockets are amazing. Hood is big!
Outside is easy to clean and keep clean.
Only complaint is the neck is tight, hard to wear a hoodie underneath because neck is so tight.

Short arms

Very short arms. If I stretch my hands forward, it goes up and I am standing with naked wrists, which is not cool by cold.. my husband has Men’s model and it’s made much better

It seems like you either bought a size that doesn't properly fit you, or you have unusually long arms. Or both.

Capable for Canadian Arctic

After recently moving to the Canadian Arctic from the PNW I was in need of a high quality warm parka suitable for the extreme conditions while also accommodating an active outdoor lifestyle. What sold me on the Beta Down Parka was the quality and weight of down as well as the Gortex shell. As of yet, temperature have reached as low as -37 C and this jacket has kept up. The down is placed strategically to keep the core and extremities warm while leaving the more "active areas" (armpits) ventilated. The Goretex shell is essential for the gale force winds that are not uncommon up here. All this being said, I do not fully rely on the insulation of the jacket alone - as anyone who's been exposed to sub zero temperatures knows, layering is key.
I use this jacket for my walking commute to work as well as minimally strenuous activities such as snowshoeing. The length is flattering while still allowing for movement. The pockets are adequate and large.
This parka performs best when performing low to moderately strenuous activities. I would not recommend if you do not expect to put in some effort to remain warm. All in all, it is perfect for my needs.

The best down parka I’ve owned!

I researched many coats before settling on the Beta Parka. I love that it feels light and keeps me very warm while travelling on my mobility scooter against the cold wind. It also has a nice classic style wth a good amount of pockets. I’m glad I tried it on at the store as it does run large. I usually fit into a small for most coats but purchased the XS which still has room for layering underneath and the sleeves are the perfect length. For reference I’m petite build 157cm 54kg. I do not find this jacket overly noisy at all as another reviewer stated.

Beta is the best

Love the Beta parka! Super warm but light. I do not find this noisy as a previous reviewer mentioned. Many pockets inside and out. The dual front zipper is great for easily getting in and out of the car. Stylish, functional and luxurious!

Obsessed with this parka! Classic look, super warm down, and so practical with 4 outer pockets and 2.5 inner ones—perfect for all my essentials. Bonus: when it got dirty brushing against my car, it wiped clean effortlessly. Highly recommend!
