Color not what it seems

The quality and fit of this jacket is great, however, the color is not what it seems on the photos. I was looking for a firefighter red jacket for Ski Patrol without crosses as that is the nationally recognized color for rescue and thought this one would be perfect. Upon receiving the jacket, I was surprised to find it being a burnt orange color which I was not expecting so I returned the jacket.

Light weight and bomber

Bought this a few weeks ago and used it in the Baker backcountry in suboptimal weather. I stayed dry, it was easy to pack away, and was comfortable. I sized up to add additional room for extra layers…it’s almost too big, even with 2 long sleeve thermals and a mid weight puffy, but because the material is light weight (but robust) it doesn’t feel like it’s obtrusive to my movements. Highly recommend.

Expertly constructed and designed.
A few suggested adjustments: Upper arm zip pocket for lip balm . I find this the easiest access point for the item I reach for the most. //Zippered pass pocket on left forearm //Off centre zip at face and slightly higher chin guard. //Higher lift/capabiity of storm hood to accommodate wearing a balaclava under helmet and avoid compression/tiring of cervical
spine.

Best ski Jacket I have ever owned!

I have been an avid skier for 45 years. I have owned many different ski jackets over the years. The arc'teryx ski guide jacket has been the most useful, durable, weather resistant, ski jacket I have ever owned. The practicality, intelligent design and outstanding workmanship in design makes it a unique product. It also looks very COOL!

I bought this last year and liked the quality and design. It wasn't until I had to stand in the rain on a day that was just on the cusp of freezing that I really appreciated the quality. I am a Ski Patroller and had to work a shift closing a trail for about 2-3 hours in the pouring rain. I don't mean a nice Irish mist but a downpour with rain just dumping out of the sky. I went in to get a cup of coffee and I was completely dry. I can't imagine I'll ever be as committed to a brand of jacket as I am to Arcteryx. Thanks for making a miserable day into just another day on the slopes.
