I recently purchased this and have only worn it a few times now. I live on top of a mountain in BC with winter temperatures around -10C being normal. This coat is perfect for me - elegant in its simplicity when it comes to Style, but all business when it comes to Function. Supremely comfortable and warm. Love it.

I just came back from a walk in my new Therme in -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit) and was cold the whole time. It looks nice, but you want something that will keep you warm I'd avoid this. I'd be disappointed with this jacket if I paid half the price.

Picked up the revised version a few days ago. I have not tried the old model, so I can’t compare the two. But I love this jacket. Warm, stylish and superb quality. Very few cons. Comes with a hefty price tag, but I think worth it. The jacket is almost like a down insulated dress coat or rain coat. Large fit, I’m 6’2 and 220 lbs, wearing a Medium. The biggest flaw is the size of the stretch cuffs, they are way too big and air can get in. Other than that, the jacket is one of the best I have ever purchased!

I just received this coat today, i was very impressed by how light it was, i also love the colour black, its a bit ashed but i like it. The fit however is very loose, i took it out for 10 minutes at -3 and a bit of wind. I noticed the wind coming in throught the sleeves and a bit from under. I can definitely layer and i am sure i will be fine as the wind is the most painful part of the cold for me, but i wanted to try it with just a shirt underneath. This is my first Arc'teryx product ever, the quality and details are very noticeable. Amazing stuff. I also love how discreet this coat is, no flashy logos. I would definitely love if the sleeves were a bit tighter, i am very slim and the xs is big on me, next time i will defintely for a tighter cut.

The jacket preforms well overall, it is very warm and extremely light. The only thing I did not like is that the pockets are very small, its an urban jacket, they should be bigger. The hood could be a little tighter too.

When I put my left arm through the jacket, the inner part of the sleeve has started to come out and pertrude from the cuff area which means I have to take time to adjust and push it back in every time I put on the coat. I've reached out to customer service and will give an update if they help out.

I have this jacket for about a month now. First of all the insulated down is very warm and nice. It feels like the colder it gets, the warmer the jacket becomes. I first ordered the black one but had to return it since this was more of a washed out grey. I've returned it for a green one and I love the color and features. Living in west Europe waterproofing is a must and the jacket delivers! Note: jacket fits large! I'm 179 CM and ordered a size S

It’s one of my favorite winter jackets in 4 years thanks to warmth, comfort, and style. The jacket is well-styled and the combination with a business suit is a good match. Though Northern Germany’s unstable weather in winter, the weather resistance finishing, and the open cuffs with internal gaskets closures keep comfortable. I feel the hood is slightly bigger than other jackets. I’m 1’7m tall and wear S size but even XS might fit me.

Faded after 2 seasons, looks awful. Customer services refuse to do anything

Sorry but, purchased this item and had great expectations of it UNTIL it arrived and I realised it was made in China and includes very cheap toggle features. Any brand worth it’s salt would not have these awful, tacky features on their items, especially these cheaply made ones. So, for all it’s potential glories this item was completely let down by these features. I was proved right the first time I tried to adjust the exterior hood pull. It slipped out of its holding position immediately, I tried again and it simply snapped. I won’t be investing in this brand again anytime soon.

After searching an entire season for a parka that would last a lifetime, I came across Arc'teryx. I ended up buying the Camosun, Koda, and the Therme all at once to try out which would best suit my needs based on fit, warmth, and style. I must say that the Therme really impressed me with it's soft but, durable fabric. It has a very impressive feel which made the parka stand out against the rest. However, I must say that the soft fabric must also be responsible for the faded look too. I have lived in Vancouver all my life and this has been the only jacket that feels like it could last a lifetime. Based on my 35+ years of experience of Vancouver winters, this jacket is definitely warm enough to tough through. The fit is a bit large but, perfect for layering in case you need to travel somewhere colder. The SMALL fit me perfectly (I'm 5'10", 160 lbs and slim build). I must also give kudos to Arc'teryx for always comes through with their longer sleeve lengths. I have 34" arms and the SMALL was perfect length for my monkey length arms!!! I hope Arc'teryx keeps this jacket in their lineup for years to come, as I would buy it again in the future.

I normally wear size S for arcteryx, but decided to buy a size XS for this parka. Even with the size down, I still felt like it was somewhat loose around my chest and waist. The overall style is very good, but the color seems quite off. I bought the black one, but when it arrived, it was more of a dark grey than your average black. The interior construction seems a bit thin, kind of like the Cerium LT's face fabric, hopefully it will hold up over time.

Love the jacket. Warm, classy and functional in an understated manner.

Overall I really like this jacket. It the warmest, most comfortable and best looking down jacket I've owned. The one problem is that the hood adjustments don't hold, it seems that the drawstring is too thin compared to the drawstring locks. After adjusting the hood, the drawstring slides back to its original position within minutes. This can be quite annoying when cycling. Otherwise, I would have given a 5 star review.

Initial impressions of the parka after ordering and inspecting the details. The good: Fit is spot on. 180# 40R suit jacket and medium has a sleek fit with room to add a light fleece layer underneath if needed. The not too bulky nor heavy look bodes well as an urban winter parka. Sleeve length and wrist opening are fine even without any option to adjust. Shell fabric has a soft brushed canvas-like hand and not crinkly. Two-way zipper which glides smoothly is featured which is a must with parkas (many of Arc'Teryx's other parka models such as the Camosun and Magnus are missing this feature). Could use one gauge higher but not a deal breaker. Missing features: Soft brushed chin guard. Interior drop pockets to stash winter accessories. What needs improvement: The handwarmer pockets can use the soft lining on the knuckle side and not just on the palm side. Bar-tacked stitching where the zipper begins on the bottom since that is a high stress area (two way zipper helps but should have that extra durability). Use of better quality button snaps to accomplish a smoother snap and release. In short, currently not worth a 5 star rating or full retail price. Future iterations with the suggested improvements that should not cost the manufacturer so much to implement can check off all of the boxes and make it more worth the asking price.

I got this jacket to commute from the south shore to Boston every day on a motorcycle. I have also ridden from south shore to portland, maine. it is currently winter here in massachusetts. so that means snow and cold temperatures. when people have said this jacket is not warm they must be clueless because I recently rode from the berkshires to south weymouth in my motorcycle. it was a 2.5 hour ride at 25°F...the thing is wind factor. at 85 mph that’s 0°F and I never got cold whatsoever. I ride every single day regardless of the temperature 10°-50°. get this jacket it’s warm. enough said.

Veste portée depuis un mois à la fois en milieu urbain et en montagne. Elle fait PARFAITEMENT le job! et plus. Le vrai plus est son élégance discrète, ce qui dénote des autres parkas disponibles sur le marché. La chaleur est réelle. La grande réussite est son confort; on ne ressent aucun encombrement pour l'apport thermique. Portée par grand vent, le col haut et la capuche fonctionnent parfaitement. Concernant le taillant de la parka, je suis entre la taille S et la taille M d'Arc'teryx (1m83 pour 73kg). J'ai pris une taille S qui donne un taillant assez fité. Etant donné l'apport de chaleur initial, l'idée était de ne pas porter d'autres couches thermiques en-dessous (j'habite en France et non au Canada). Bref mon manteau d'hiver pour un bout de temps. Bravo!!

I bought therme yesterday , I started to wear today but it looks very old. I have a parka which I bought in 2015 looks newer than arc’tryx therme. I will return if they accept. When I wear that I feel I just done with construction jobs , looks that much dirty and dusty.

The coat fits very large. I am 6'3 220 and athletic, I bought the Xl assuming it would be a good fit as I'm XL in most things I want room in. As it turns out the Large is a bit big on me and the Medium is a bit too small and short in the sleeves. Also another frustration is that the coat has now adjustable hem or baffle at the bottom to keep in air and warmth, even in a size that fit me it would't have kept me warm at the temperatures its designed for without wearing another coat under it to create a seal for this one. Overall disappointed, everything I own for skiing, rock climbing and outdoors in general is arcteryx or other premium comparable brands and was hoping their high end athletic background would translate better to the city..... I ended up selling it for a loss and ordered something i like the look of less but functions better.

Jacket feels amazing, the sizing seems a bit large, but that's expected for a winter coat meant for layering. Perfect length for someone 180cm tall. Small size was good, and I weight around 150lb (70kg). Unfortunately I cannot recommend this jacket due to its many shortcomings. I wore the jacket for a few days with weather from -7c to -10c. The jacket kept most of my body warm, with the exception of my neck and face, which would get really cold after about 10min. Note that there was almost no wind during these days, and I was wearing a winter beanie, but no scarf. If you wear the hood up, all it does is to direct all the cold to the inside the jacket, as the hood is too large and the collar doesn't wrap around the front of the neck. Wearing the hood down, this isn't so much of an issue, as the opening for the neck gets pulled back by the hood a bit, closing the big gap. The front zipper for this jacket is missing a proper wind flap, where as other jackets, such as the Thorsen, also have a flap behind the zipper. However, I consider the Thorsen to be too long for my height. One way to alleviate some of the issues I encountered would be to wear a big scarf to close the gap around the collar and to keep it hanging in front to guard against any wind that comes through the front zipper. But I do not like that idea very much, as it adds weight and bulk when not wearing the jacket (think walking inside a shopping place). If you are willing to live with these shortcomings, and don't mind your face and neck freezing without a scarf, then go for it. Otherwise look elsewhere.

I bought this coat for my husband. Even at -23 with the wind blowing he says he stays warm. I tend to believe him because I’ve owned an arcteryx coat for over 4 years and it still keeps me warm in these cold Alaska temps. Best coat purchase ever made!

Jacket started soaking in the snow/rain and not waterproof nor water resistant anymore after a year or two of usage.

Me gusta mucho el diseño, el ajuste, como me queda, su tacto, igual la posición de los bolsillos y tamaño no están al nivel de la chaqueta para mi gusto, pero no quiere decir que estén mal, si no que no están tan a mi gusto como el resto. Lo único malo que tiene ésta parka para mí es el precio. Aunque una vez que la he pagado, sólo me queda disfrutarla usándola. Y ya no me duele el precio.

I managed to swap to this jacket after finding that the Magnus was simply not warm enough for a UK winter. I have been wearing this jacket now for the past few weeks in temperatures ranging from a few degrees centigrade up to around 12c. It does get too warm towards the top end of this range if you are moving around and if the sun comes out you're going to sweat. But at the lower end it is very comfortable and I can easily see it providing enough warmth below zero. The last few days we had some very high winds and the GoreTex does a great job of keeping this from penetrating through. Yesterday I was out and about for four hours in driving rain and stayed perfectly warm and dry underneath. The hood, although large, does a superb job at keeping out the wet. The overall quality of the parka is clearly high and it is certainly well made. This brings me to the cons. All of the pockets are a little bit on the small side. The new, larger iPhones don't fit in the outside chest pocket. Although hands fit easily into the side pockets, why not make them a little deeper? Inside stash pockets would be ideal for gloves and a scarf, and this brings me onto the collar - you are going to have to devise some way to seal out the wind at the neck because the collar is laughably big. When it is properly cold I will wear a sleeveless fleece with a high, zip-up collar to seal the neck, but at the moment I have resorted to cinching in the hood elastic to effectively narrow the opening. This however is not ideal as the hood then rubs against the back of your head and the GoreTex rubs against your neck and chin. Only other option would be to add a snap fastener at the internal collar which I may well end up doing. A scarf would work but, as I mentioned, with nowhere to stash it when not needed, I would find this annoying. One other small gripe is the lack of a decent fleece lining inside the pockets and at the neck/chin area to prevent chafing. Overall though, very impressed and the pros certainly outweighs the cons.

Was torn between Camosun and Therme. In the end I opted for the latter. Maybe I would be just as happy with the former, can't say. But, I got the Nerus (Blue) and not available in the Camosun. And the color is great. I am 5'9, 180, but a 44 chest. Large definitely correct size. It fits great, and looks really good. I am in Chicago. It has been a very warm winter so far. But the first test was Saturday. Though the temp was not very cold (between 27 and 30), the wind was blowing about 40 - 50 mph (measured, no exaggeration). It was precipitating, a mixture of snow, freezing rain, feeling like icicles piercing my face). I went for a walk with my dog to the lakefront to see the 20 foot waves. Just a cotton long sleeve t-shirt underneath. I was toasty. Did not feel one bit of wind or rain. Hood was up over my hat. The only part of me feeling any weather was the exposed part of my face above the coats color, basically my cheeks and nose. Stayed dry throughout. And while it's next test will be this coming weekend when temp is predicted to be between 2 and 12 f, based on last weekend, I foresee this being the nicest, warmest coat I have ever had (I am now 65, so I have had a lot).

Look for something that fits better for you. In this jacket I look like a piguin. Nobody is this fat.

I After a significant amount of research I settled on this jacket as my go to jacket for cold days. It is currently -15 and I am wearing a heavy wool sweater as a mid-layer. My shoulders and upper arms are freezing. A basic wool dress jacket does a better job at keeping those areas warm. My body is relatively warm which I appreciate. I have received a number of compliments on the look and fit… But I didn’t spend $850 for compliments. I am disappointed in this product and can’t recommend you purchase for actual cold weather use.
