Just upgraded to the rush and am very impressed with my first day out on it. Medium fits amazing at 5'11 and 175 LBS but I can see how it doesn't leave much room for someone with larger dimensions and the large was a little bit too large. Paired with the Sabre bibs the setup feels absolutely bomb-proof and an amazing setup for rough days at the resort. First day out on the mountains was a 1'+ powder day and the setup performed flawlessly. Chose the Rush over the Sabre for the Gore-tex Pro. I'm not sure if upgrading is the right word, but it's coming over from a Pat Snowdrifter jacket, which is also awesome but feels a little bit heavier, stiff, and slightly bulkier in the fit. Will continue to use the Pat, but for cold, deep days, I'm definitely grabbing the Rush.

The Arc'teryx Rush jacket has been my trusted companion throughout countless ski mountaineering trips, ski tours, long traverses, and even during fall and spring hikes. I've come to appreciate its perfect fit and rugged durability, especially when facing the toughest bushwhacks. Its versatility has been a game-changer, providing reliable protection from the elements while ensuring freedom of movement and comfort across a range of outdoor activities.

I received my rush jacket today and noticed the chest is tighter than expected. As well the shell is described as goretex pro -80 but I find it has an inferior finish to my previous sidewinder jacket. Which used a goretex pro 70. Which had a velvet rubber finish. Does anyone have any experience with the shells

The jacket meets the requirements and is also very resistant to external influences. Sits perfectly and feels comfortable

The fit of this product is awful for the intended purpose. I ordered size M and it’s too tight in the chest and too loose everywhere else. This jacket could be usable in the resort but for backcountry touring or ski mountaineering it’s way too long and baggy and still restricts arm movements. Quality of the fabric and the attention to detail seem to be high but the fit makes it totally unusable.

Quality is excellent, front zipper is robust and smooth, and hood easily accommodates ski helmet. Coming from a large stingray shell which fit perfectly, I naturally chose the large. Large fits well except too tight in chest, can’t get elbows within a foot of each other. Then I tried the XL and it was massive like a blanket with sleeves to my finger tips. XL would only work if I was shaped like a pear. Arcteryx used to have a nice athletic cut but sizing changes appear they are catering to the couch potato - what a shame as I love their quality! I have plenty of arcteryx clothes which fit fine in L and XL, now there are items I can’t buy due to sizing changes. For reference, I am 6’1” 210 lbs 45.5” chest, 36” waist, 36” sleeve.

This jacket is awesome. I love that they removed the powder skirt because I rock bibs whenever I ski, so I would never use the powder skirt. This also makes this jacket pretty good for casual wear, and if you don't like the long cut you can cinch the bottom and crop it a bit. At 6' tall and 220lbs the large fits me perfectly. Not sure what my chest measures out to but I have a 34" waist and the large leaves plenty of room for layers if I need them on a chilly day. Overall very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this jacket.

Wow such an excelllent upgrade to the classic Rush jacket from Arc'teryx. I am very pleased with the updates. I really appreciate the cuffs, I couln't stand the old ones, I also love the removal of the powder skirt and couldn't stand having one, they always seem to bunch up and honestly for me as a bib user I don't need the powder skirt. I also love the updated fit, it is slighly shorter than the old version, and slighlty more relaxed in the chest too. I am very hopeful that this will be my go to for touring and resort shell for years to come.

I had an old Rush and am very happy with the revisions that have been made. Fits better and I'm happy they dropped the powder skirt. Only seem a couple days at the hills so far but I'm sure it will have a long useful life.

This shell also has helped me to navigate the varying conditions. This past season has been very wet and I have been dry thanks to my jacket. It especially feels great to have a barrier to the weather that you can trust when you are going up the lift. Since you are not moving I find this is a crucial time to not let the elements penetrate your jacket. My Rush gives me confidence that this will note happen. The powder skirt has kept the snow from riding up my back. I have a long torso and I appreciate that it is low enough. It also has 2 button settings which gives me a comfortable fit. The front pockets are easily accessible and allows me to put things like my phone in it. I can easily transition from filming my son doing his jumps and boxes to putting it in my pocket and ripping my own run without stopping. The shoulder pocket is nice to put my pass in so the RFID reader can read my pass. The velcro straps on the wrist are even well designed. I find it easy to tightness so my Fission mitts can go over them and not let any snow get it. Also, I LOVE that this jacket is so light. I don't feel heavy and weighted down. I definitely feel like I'm flying when I'm ripping it and comfortable when I'm walking aroudn the resort. I love my Rush and can't wait for it to be a part of my snowboarding adventures with my family!

Purchased the revised 2023/24 Rush a week ago and have been happy with it. Used on the resort and on two ski tours. Two notable changes to this years Rush jacket are the removal of the snow skirt, and the increase in the size of each size. At 6’1” and 175lbs I’m normally a large (and own the Rush from 2021), however I found the medium this year to better fit me, as the large is very spacious in the torso/chest region (i take it it’s more designed for heavier set individuals).

I bought this about a month ago, and had a chance to take it out today. Fits great, kept me dry, blocked the wind, everything it was advertised to do.

High quality, lightweight fabric with solid seam construction. Color was accurate. Sizing was too small for me. I am 5’8 175 lbs and I ordered a medium lentils was fine just to tight iin the chest and shoulders. I am a 40 chest and couldn’t move comfortably without the armpit vents fully opened. Had to return for a large.

I bought it on Black Friday with $560. It's a really nice jacket for skiing. Great experience with it so far. Sleeve is bit long for me.

I bought the Rush Jacket for weeks and I enjoyed it a lot. The Jacket looks nice and fit. The shell is very hard and gives every protection you need. I feel it is better to choose a bit bigger size. I bought M size and L size. After trying them, I feel like the L one is more comfortable and good looking. Especially when you put a down mid layer in it. M size has less flexibility for me. I am 180 cm and weight 68 kg.

Absolutely love this jacket! I am 182cm and 75kg and size L was just perfect fit. Not too baggy and not too slim. Only downside for me is that I am not so fan of the shine the Arcteryx jacket has when in direct sunlight. I also have the Beta ar and it has the same shine to it in the sunlight. Not a fan at all. Looks to glossy. But overall I am very happy with my Rush jacket (Elevation color)

I was really excited to get this and seems to be an amazing jacket but the color was not as advertised for the elevation color and the other colors don’t fancy me.

Bought the Rush jacket a couple of years ago and it has been my go-to ski jacket since. The fit is perfect with a lot of freedom/movement, without feeling baggy. The jacket feels bomb proof so far with zero issues. Also get a lot of compliments on the jacket while skiing! I would recommend it to anybody.

Bought the jacket to replace my sabre LT! It fits way better at the hips!The shoulders and chest are fine for layers but It is still to long for me , i bought a medium( i'm 5,7 170lbs) Super for skiing and hicking!!

I've been wearing rush jackets for 10 years and they're pretty much perfect. Treat yourself and get into one!

I order COLOUR Elevation, but its not the same color, the top of the jacket is grey and not black. Is it normal ? Maybe the picture of the website is more dark. The quality is perfect and the size as well ! (XL, 187cm, loose fit style) Thats the kind of technical ski jacket I was looking since a while. The price...

I bought the rush hardshell 4 years ago, use it for many outdoor activities and the jacket still look amazing. Quality built!

Jacket arrived today, slightly surprised as the color is a fair bit lighter than it is in the images, could be a bad thing, but in my opinion looks better than in the image. Sizing is spot on, 6'3 with an semi athletic build XL fits perfect, with a generous amount of space for a midlayer. pocket layout on the outside is fine, takes some time to get used to but prove to be spacious and makes items feel weightless rather than pressed up against your chest, which is nice for snowboarding and skiing. internal pocket layout is perfect, sizable dump pockets for a pair of gloves, something else, and a perfectly sized pocket for a modern cellphone(I have a note 10) not too small, and not so big that it will move around too much. hood fits comfortably over a helmet, doesn't feel baggy, but also doesn't feel tight or constricting at the neck. Its a bit crinkly, but its to be expected for such a stiff fabric. If my other Arcteryx shells and jackets I have owned previously tell me anything, the rush will be a phenomenal shell.

I am on my 2nd rush jacket. The only reason I changed was because I wanted to have a new color. My first jacket I had for four years and it still looked like day 1. The jacket is very durable, versatile and keeps all the weather components out. This is a great performing jacket that looks great too.
