Question 1

Do these pants come in medium with short lenght

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. This season, the Fissile Insulated Pant is only available in a regular inseam length and is not offered in a short inseam option. We understand how helpful offering multiple inseam lengths can be, and we will be sure to share your feedback with our team for future consideration. We hope this helps!

Question 2

Can these pants be himed shorter

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you so much for your question and for checking out the Fissile Insulate Pant Men! These pants are built with synthetic insulation and feature Keprotec™ instep patches at the cuffs. This material is designed to protect the pant hem from ski edges, crampons, and boot abrasion. Hemming the cuffs would remove some of this Keprotec™ panel and reduce durability in that high‑wear area. That said, we do not recommend any unauthorized modification or alteration, including any repair done outside of Arc'teryx Customer Service, as this would void the Arc'teryx Limited Warranty for that area. We hope this helps!

Question 3

Hi, does the Fissile pant have room in the crotch like the XPD expeditionary fit or is it like the fit in last year's Sabre pant (tight). Is there currently a ski pant that has loose fit in crotch?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. We’re not able to compare the fit or sizing of our products to those from other brands. Fit can also feel different depending on body type and personal preference, so we aren’t able to generalize whether the crotch area in pants will feel “tight” or “loose.” That said, we’re happy to share measurements to help guide your decision. Below are the rise measurements for the FW25 Fissile Insulated Pant Men’s (base size - size Medium) compared with the FW24 Sabre Pant Men’s in the same size:

FW25 Fissle Insulated Pant Men's
Front rise (to top of waistband): 25cm
Back rise (+ guesset width, including the waistband): 49cm

FW24 Sabre Pant Men's
Front rise (to top of waistband): 25cm
Back rise (+ guesset width, including the waistband): 46.2cm

If you’re looking for a pair of pants with the roomiest overall fit, the Sabre Relaxed Pant Men’s is currently the loosest pant option in our ski line. We hope this helps!

Question 4

Can I get a fissile pant in a large with a short inseam? The regular (32”) is a bit too long for me and makes the pant look baggy. Thanks.

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi Kevin, thank you for your question and for checking out the Fissile Insulated Pant. The sizes listed on the product page reflect the available options for this season. If you’d like to be the first to know about new product drops in the future, we recommend signing up for our newsletter. It’s the best way to stay in the loop. We hope this helps!

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Fissile Insulated Pant in size L-R has an inseam length of 85.2 cm. This pant is made with 80d 3L GORE-TEX ePE with C-KNIT™, which provides complete waterproof, windproof, breathable protection. We hope this helps!

Question 6

Hi, I would like to buy this pants. I have the sabre (not insulated) in size L and they are comfortable ( maybe a little Bit big) I saw that fissile and sabre have a different fit. Which is the difference? Can you send me L and XL measures in cm?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, the Sabre Pant and Fissile Insulated Pant do indeed have different fits. The Sabre Pant features a regular fit, while the Fissile Insulated Pant has a fitted design. It’s tailored to stay close to the body through the waist, hip, and thigh, offering a low-profile silhouette that reduces bulk and moves seamlessly with you. We’d be happy to provide the measurements of the Fissile Insulated Pant so you can compare them with your Sabre Pant:

Size L
Waist width: 94.6 cm
Hem width: 119.6 cm
Thigh width: 74.3 cm

Size XL
Waist width: 104.6
Hem width: 129.6 cm
Thigh width: 80.0 cm
