If I use a xs in the women's covert cardigan, do I have to size up on the Kyanite due to the more fitted design?

The low profile of the Kyanite is made to move with the body and fit comfortably under outer layers. For your reference, here are the key measurements in size Small (base size):

Center Back Length: 65.4cm

Hi there, thanks for your question! Both the Kyanite Hoody and Covert Cardigan are warm fleece layers, but they’re designed for different purposes.
 
Kyanite Hoody: Built for low-to-medium output mountain activities. It uses Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro fabric for excellent freedom of movement, abrasion resistance, and a soft, comfortable feel.
Covert Cardigan: Designed for everyday wear. Its Alpenex II™ fleece has a heathered finish that gives it a wool-like look, and is perfect for casual use around town.
