Great for Hiking

The Beta SLis my go to hiking and everyday shell. I love the pit zips for when I am hiking, they add additional breathability, which is great for temperature control. I always throw the Beta SL in my bag regardless of the weather. The other day a summer hike turned into winter very quickly (super snowy and windy) luckily my Beta SL paired with my Atom SL kept me dry, fully protected from the wind and warm. Definetly reccomend this shell for hiking

worth the price of admission

Excellent quality and construction, overall. Its my wife's favorite rain jacket. I did waterproof the jacket based on a few reviews and just in case. Things I noticed: same quality of my 10yr old BETA SL and its WAY lighter...feels.about half the weight. The fit and form are spot on and there are a number of zippers and vents to ensure breathability.

Wish we had more rain!

My only complaint is that I want it to rain more where I live so I could wear this more. I have the tatsu color and it's great. It's a bit more breathable than former iterations, which is really nice for late spring and summer showers. I've run in mine a fair amount and appreciate the arm vents.

This jacket will keep you dry in the wettest of conditions! I took it to Chile last fall for a Spring Volcanos trip and it was the MVP. We had an absolute downpour while descending and my layers underneath remained dry. Its super light, packs well, and is not a stiff, bulky jacket.

Great Jacket -- light, packable, pit-zips, high quality construction, not loud to wear, amazing colors, articulated hood. I chose to order a M (5'8" size S generally) to have it a little bit bigger to layer over my puffy and it is perfect !!!

Juste parfait!

Je l’adore! J’ai une version antérieure du Beta LT et je préfère le nouveau. La coupe revisitée est parfaite: un peu plus long et plus d’espace au niveau des bras et de la poitrine. Petite poche intérieure très pratique et poches latérales plus basses donc plus confortable. J’ai pris ma taille habituelle. Et que dire de la couleur Tatsu…juste magnifique! Je veux un Thorium dans cette couleur aussi!!!
