Brilliant coat, I wanted something that was warm that could be worn in work situations and for casual. Nearly went for the SV but this is plenty long enough, hood adjustment could be better but I’m just being picky

I have stress tested out this parka for a couple of days now, and so far it is exactly what I was looking for. As a 1m75 / 69 kg man, medium fits just well !

I recently bought the Therme as a winter jacket for Central European winters and would like to take this opportunity to give you my impression and personal opinion of the jacket. Design and construction: I like the simple, straightforward design and clean lines of this jacket. I find the construction with down composite mapping extremely useful. As I am a fan of understatement, I would have liked the jacket without the lettering on the hood. In addition, the logo on the left shoulder could have been implemented in slightly less contrasting colors. Functionality: The size of the pockets is good and the arrangement of the pockets is also good. One reason for me to buy it was the side pockets with side openings. I prefer these to pockets with an opening at the top, as it's easier to stow your hands in them. I find the hood a little too big - especially with only one cord for adjustment. If there had been more adjustment options, I would have given it full marks. I noticed that despite the adjustable StormHood, there is still wind on the head when its stormy. Size and fit: The jacket is specified as a “regular” fit. In my opinion, it is more of a “relaxed” or even “oversized” fit. According to the size chart, I am exactly L (189cm, V-shaped torso). After reading the comments, I tried on the jacket in M and L. The M fits well around the stomach but is too tight around the chest. The L fits well around the chest but is too loose around the stomach. In the end, I chose the L because I have more freedom of movement and can layer. However, I would find a little more waistline more visually appealing. Quality and feel: The quality of workmanship is of course above any doubt. The seams and materials are extremely neatly finished. I think the feel of the outer fabric is excellent for an everyday jacket. Weather resistance: Apart from the slightly too large hood, the outer fabric and GoreTex keep the rain and wind completely away from the body. Very nice. Warmth: I was told that the Therme uses 94.4g of goose down (750 cuin) and 80/60 synthetic insulation. At -5°C and wearing a T-shirt, I wasn't cold under the jacket but not overly warm either. In fact, I would have liked a little more warmth in this winter jacket. For Central European winters, however, the insulation is probably 95% sufficient. Durability: I can't say anything about the general durability yet. The zipper is smooth-running but made of plastic. We will see how durable it is. The inner fabric is very thin. I'm curious to see how abrasion and stress from beard stubble will affect the fabric.

I have 5 other Arc’teryx jackets (shells and insulated) all size M and they fit me like a glove, I’m 182cm 78kg athletic built. Ordered size M on Therme Parka aiming for this to be my go to work/city coat for the winter. Quite quickly realised that I could fit another me in the jacket. Shoulders and arms length was perfect but around the belly and waist area it was so baggy. I ended up returning it and hoping for the Arc’teryx design team to take all the feedback into account when designing the next iteration of the jacket.

I got this as a Birthday present to replace my Therme SV Coat that was stolen from my car. I loved that coat, and it was really heavy and great in the cold. This coat is so light I’m apprehensive about its performance in really cold weather. The hood is pretty thin too. The body and arms are thicker relatively speaking. That said, this coat is very well made with high quality materials. I’m 6’ 4” 250 LBS.(Athletic Build) and it fit me well. Nice style too Arctyrex makes really good gear, so I hope my fears are misplaced. I’ll find out this Winter. Overall I’m pretty satisfied.

The jacket works well in lower temperatures, but its overall quality is disappointing. After only two months of use, there is significant wear and tear, particularly in the collar area, likely due to abrasive facial hair. This is a basic issue that should have been addressed, especially considering even cheaper jackets perform better in this regard. I have serious doubts about its durability and longevity, especially since damages like these aren't covered under warranty. It feels like a waste of money.

I bought this jacket in an Amsterdam store and it felt great. However, after the 1st time I wore it I realized that the sizing is a bit off. I am 188cm, athletic build and wear L all the way. Across all similar brands. However, this jacket feels so loose and sleeves so long that besides all the great materials and premium finishing, it was an annoyance after a few hours wearing it. I checked the size guidelines and realized that this not exactly L and that the gap between M and L is so huge that L is more like L-XL. I am not sure what the what the company's idea behind is but I assume it can alienate quite a lot of their loyal customer base.

This is the first parka/casual jacket I have brought from Arcteryx and this is to be my everyday jacket. The jacket is really well made and overall im happy with it. The only thing that I dont think is a very good design feature on the jacket is this. You have a flap that covers the zip and it has a press stud button at the bottom then one near the top and then one at the very top, unless you are going to zip the jacket to the very top it means you only have a press stud button at the bottom holding this flap in place, there is alot of space between the bottom and top buttons and I feel it is missing a button in the middle, the zip doesnt have waterproof protection so if you have the coat zipped up 3/4 way then you only have one button to hold the flap in place. Its not the end of the world just annoying.

The size is larger than expected. I have never problem with sizes when it comes to outwears but this time it is at least one size larger for me. It is not a significant problem but still it looks a bit off. In the beginning I thought they sent the wrong size.

My zipper broke the first two weeks of owning it. And now I leave for steamboat to snowboard on Sunday and don’t have a jacket. Thanks for nothing! Contacted customer service. I expect a 100% refund. Waiting to see how easy they make this for me before I remove my review

I bought this along with the Mammut Photics Thermo Parka as a replacement for my old heavy down Schott USA military issue Thule base jacket mostly used for long walks in winter (not made anymore unfortunately). The intention was to have a parka that could also be used for work in the city in cold weather and also in 0 dgree weather with icy rain made me go for the goretex feature,(my shabby old Down parka wont do for that). The Arcteryx therme is clearly the most stylish of the two jackets (as informal work outerwear) and thats why I bought it. But I cant beleive it has the same cuin fill power as the Mammut Photics which it does according to the description. (750 cuin). It surprisingly cold being marketed as very warm. I returned it, stylsh though it was, it was not warm enough. Stylish but not warm enough below -5. I wanted something that could manage up to -20 with layers underneath ofcourse.

Habe mir die Therme Parka in Sapphire Black im Dezember 2023 bestellt. - Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich erstklassig. - Die Performance (Regenfestigkeit, Windfestigkeit, Wärmeleistung) ist ebenfalls unübertroffen. - Das minimalistische Design und die klaren Linien gefallen mir ebenfalls sehr gut. Ich würde mir jedoch kein bzw. ein dezenteres Logo wünschen. Der Arc'teryx Schriftzug an der Kapuze kann m.M.n. gerne weg. - Super Features, wie z.B. der Eingelassene Kragen, Bündchen am Handgelenk und eine gefütterte Kapuze. ABER: Die Passform der Jacke ist wirklich komisch. Ich habe so ziemlich exakt die Maße, bei denen Arc'teryx die Größe L empfielt (Arm, Brust, Taille, Hüfte). Bin 190 cm groß und bringe 92 kg auf die Waage. Normalerweise trage ich XL, selten L. Die Therme in L sitzt bei mir um den Bauch so locker, dass ich fast 2x rein passe. Die M habe ich anprobiert, jedoch ist hier der Sitz um die Brust viel zu eng und schränkt die Bewegungsfreiheit ein. Ich habe gefühlt auch noch nie in meinem Leben etwas in M tragen können. Sehr schade, ich hätte die Jacke gerne behalten aber für meinen Körper ist sie leider nicht gemacht. Für eine Revision wünsche ich mir, dass die Passform überarbeitet wird. Definitiv Änderungen um den Bauch und die Kaputze finde ich auch etwas zu groß geraten.

I spent €700 on this jacket and the zipper stopped working within 2 weeks. I flagged this with customer service in November and since have had no reaction!! I have therefore had no winter jacket for two months in the dead of winter and no service. Awful and shameful service avoiding dealing with a cheap and shoddy product. Never buying from the brand again.

I bought this a year ago. Overall I love it. The quality down layering inside feels great is very warm. My only complaint is that the pockets don't insulate your hands. My Cerium hoodie and Atom jackets are also great and they have pockets that keep my hands warm. On this coat there is only the shell over my hands and they get very very cold. I don't want to always have to have gloves on if going for a walk in cold weather, I prefer to tuck my hands in my pocket but that doesn't work on this otherwise fantastic coat.

This jacket needs a revision. With a closure redesign it could be great.. but its not. The good things about the coat are good, the bad is inexcusable. I want to keep it, but the zipper design oversights are just dissapointing. One needs to excuse their zipper choice, zipper placement and over look the lack of buttons on the storm flap to make peace with this otherwise decent coat. So whats the problem with the coat.?.. heres my assessment. A) Bad zippers. please.. what is everyone saying to you (across multiple products.)? Bad (undersized) zippers. This zipper might be the reason i cant keep it. .. its not a defect in manufacuring but a critical oversight in design. Full stop. This zipper itself often fails to catch and start smoothly, even when you finally mate the two parts together. This is atleast due to poor access to mate the zipper. But additionally its the size of the zipper and bad placement of the storm flap. This makes me sad. The zipper is under sized. Its the wrong choice for this application. Shame. B) Bad zipper design placement. Grasping the zipper is a chore. A dexterity challenge. This makes the small zipper even more problematic. The storm flap is fixed so close to the zipper you have to apply pressure to the seam in order to fold the flap back and grasp the male portion to mate the two parts of the zipper together. they didnt design enough space to meet the parts together. With gloves on, its not feasable. The storm flap is too close to the zipper. There is no relief to grasp it with your hands, meaning you must grasp the storm flap directly and coax the zippers together to start them. Really. Bad. C) No waist cinch to pull the coat in. D) Could use additional inner pockets. Hand warmer pockets could be a smidge higher and better insulated on the outside. D) storm flap only has buttons on the very bottom and very top... no way to button it closed.. so buttons cant save you from the bad zipper. E) im 5'10, 30' waist and 38 chest.. and extra small fits slighly large in the chest. They should drop named sizing, and use numerical sizing.

In 2019 I bought the Therme and I consider to buy again a Therme. I have a question about sizing. It seems that I have a size between the sizes. Can you make a size between the sizes? I've got size XL. The new size XL has too long sleeves for me. The size L I feel pressure at the chest. My chest size is 104 cm and my waist is 94 cm. I am 188cm tall and my weight is 81 kg. So L seems good, but I feel a pressure at the chest. I measure my chest without clothes, but I wear clothes under my jacket. What can I do? Furhtermore the jacket is perfect, enough pockets, waterproof and warm.

I am really pleased with this parka. I have only had it a few weeks, but I have been wearing it in Norway down to about -10 and feeling warm. According to the sizing guide I should've been a medium, but I found the sizing on the big side, so ended up sizing down to the small which fits perfectly even with a thick jumper underneath.

Looking forward to wear this during the rainy cold days and travel overseas. Design is very sleek, ordered a small for a slim fit on warmer days, previously ordered a medium to add on additional layers for the snow days. Very warm.
