Kopec Mid GTX Boot Women's

The Kopec is a go to when I am looking for a responsive shoe to take on a day hike. For anything over a couple of miles it is the perfect shoe to keep your foot dry with the gore-tex and the Vibram traction on the shoe is great for any type of terrain you run into.

Very grippy shoe that works exceptionally well in dry sandy areas. On top of that, thee overall shoe is sturdy, which allows confident hiking. As for fit, I wouldn't consider it narrow or wide. Definitely my summer go to hiking shoe!

I prefer the Aerios over this the Kopec style boot. I feel this boot is a bit clunkier and not as flexible as the Aerios. I was able to find a pair of Aerios for sale in my size, so I will be able to wait awhile longer before I have to purchase these. I do appreciate this boot style, and how it is pretty light weight. It is kind of a cross between a boot and a shoe. The boot feels "grounded" with very little heel to toe drop which is perfect. Very waterproof and good grip, but I still feel the Aerios is a better fit. This Kopec was quite roomy around the ankle and heel. I believe these are Unisex shoes, which is part of the problem. I really wish Arc'teryx would come out with a true women's version and not just a scaled down man's shoe. I had to size down one full size to get a correct fit. Even though I ordered my normal 'W's" size of 9, I ended up with a size 8 for the correct fit.

As a longtime lover of the Aerios series and notably the mid hiking boot, I’m a bit sad that these have essentially replaced them… I really wanted to love these too. Aesthetically they look pretty rad. But as far as overall performance and fit… not doing it for me. Here’s why: - Yes the sole is stiffer and definitely does “perform” better in shifting terrain as per description, so that’s a plus. But for me that was already accomplished with the Acrux TR which I much prefer as well. Overall, my feeling while wearing these is “clunky”. - the tongue and upper are a miss for me. There’s too much space on the sides of the tongue that allow water and rocks / debris to get in. That plus the loose lacing make anything off of manicured trails less enjoyable. Could benefit from extending the tongue and adding additional hooks for lacing. Because of this I feel like there’s very little ankle support, and you may as well just get the shoe. - the fit and break-in. Due to stiffness of sole they need longer to break in compared to Aerios but similar to Acrux TR. Many reviews suggest it’s a narrow fit, I didn’t quite feel that but I think the stiffness of the material maybe adds to that feeling. Again I realllly wanted to love these! But I’ll be waiting for the Aerios and Acrux series to return.

These boots are probably the most comfortable I have worn. But the waterproofing is terrible. My feet become soaked in them with very little rain. I contacted the company and they suggested my feet must sweat a lot. Lol. Must say I expected more from Arc’teryx as I would have thought they produce quality products that they will stand beside.

These gap around the ankle, providing inadequate support. I have a wide foot and these are a bit loose across my forefoot. Not enough cushioning. I had to swap out the insole. Also, as with most Arc shoes, the cheap laces do not stay tied! I prefer the Aerios by far.

Amazing shoe! For me, it’s difficult to find appropriate footwear, given the bunions and extra wide foot, but this shoe will allow me to go miles at the time. I bought it yesterday but went for a long hike to break them in. There was no need. They were comfortable from the beginning until the end. Great quality, and very comfortable.
