THE AFFECTED PROCLINE BOOTS WERE MANUFACTURED BETWEEN NOVEMBER 1, 2015 AND MARCH 31, 2017.
In a small number of boots, it has been reported that the axis pin (circled) has dislodged which may cause the skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries.
If your boot does not have a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler, then it is part of the recall.
Consumers should immediately stop using these Procline Boots and return them directly to Arc’teryx Equipment for repair.

WHY IS ARC’TERYX DOING THIS RECALL?
We are deeply committed to the safety of our users. In a very small number of the boots, the axis pin has dislodged during use, leading us to issue a voluntary recall to repair the axis pin and allow the boot to function as designed.

All 6 models of the Procline Boot manufactured between November 1, 2015 and March 31, 2017 are being recalled:

WHAT IS THE TECHNICAL REASON FOR THIS RECALL?
In rare circumstances, we have found that the axis pin has dislodged during use, which could cause a skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF I DON’T RETURN THE BOOTS TO HAVE THE RECALL FIX COMPLETED?
Without the repair, the axis pin may dislodge causing the skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries.
IS THERE A SERIOUS RISK OF INJURY?
Although there have been no reported injuries, if the axis pin dislodges, it could cause the skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries.

Arc’teryx will be replacing the axis pin with an updated design.
HOW MANY PROCLINE BOOTS WITH DEFECTS HAVE YOU FOUND?
There have been 18 incidences reported of the axis pin dislodging.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM SO IT WON’T OCCUR AGAIN?
We will repair all Procline Boots by replacing the axis pin with an updated design that will keep the pin secure in the future.
WHAT DOES THE AXIS PIN DO?
The axis pin holds the spoiler and 360 Rotating Cuff in place.
HAS ANYONE BEEN HURT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE?
No injuries have been reported.
DOES THIS RECALL AFFECT ANY PARTS OF THE BOOT OTHER THAN THE PIN?
No, this recall only affects the axis pin.

I WAS THINKING ABOUT BUYING A PAIR OF PROCLINE BOOTS. HOW WILL I BE SURE THE PRODUCT I PURCHASE IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL?
Arc’teryx is taking every step to ensure Procline Boots available on the market are properly repaired. The repaired boots or new production boots with the redesigned axis pin will have a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler.
SHOULD I SEND IN MY PROCLINE THERMOFORMABLE EVA LINER?
We recommend you remove your liner before sending your boots in for repair.
I JUST BOUGHT A PROCLINE BOOT, IS IT OK TO USE?
If your boot does not have a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler then it should be returned to Arc’teryx for repair.
MY PROCLINE BOOTS ARE WORKING JUST FINE. DO I STILL NEED TO SEND THEM IN FOR THE RECALL?

I DON’T KNOW WHAT KIND OF ARC’TERYX BOOT I HAVE. HOW CAN I TELL?
Pictures of all Procline boots subject to the recall are located at arcteryx.com/recalls/procline-boot. If your boot does not have a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler then it should be returned to Arc’teryx for repair.
HOW DO I TELL IF MY PROCLINE BOOT HAS BEEN CORRECTLY REPAIRED ONCE I RECEIVE IT BACK?
The repaired boot with the redesigned axis pin will have a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler.
HOW DO I TELL IF MY PROCLINE BOOT HAS BEEN REPAIRED IF I BOUGHT THEM SECOND HAND OR USED?
If there is a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler, the repair has been completed, or they were manufactured after March 31, 2017.
I BOUGHT MY PROCLINE BOOT FROM A RETAIL STORE (OR ONLINE RETAILER) DO I NEED TO RETURN IT TO THEM, OR DO I SEND IT DIRECTLY BACK TO ARC’TERYX?

CAN I FIX THE PIN MYSELF?
No. Special tools and trained staff are required to complete this safety repair.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY REPAIRED PROCLINE BOOTS?
Once your boots are received, we project 2-3 week repair time. Times may vary based on your location.
WILL THE BOOTS I SEND YOU BE THE SAME BOOTS YOU RETURN TO ME WHEN MY PRODUCT IS REPAIRED?
Yes. The same boots you send us will be the pair repaired and returned to you.
