Useful baselayer glove for cold weather activities

I find them practical as a lightweight 'base' layer glove to wear inside lightly insulated ski gloves. I use them mainly for cold weather cycling, hiking, and skating. The sensor pads don't work for me on the iPhone but that wasn't a purchase driver and sensor pads rarely work on other brand gloves IMO. I did find the price a little high for a base layer glove.

Great for running and decent warmth

My husband had two pairs of these which he purchased a while ago and I didn't see what was the big deal. He got me a pair and they really are great for: - high output activities in colder weather. For example I use it when I go running in the cold and they feel great. - for everyday use they are good but not GREAT because the pads are hit and miss but actually still not bad compared to some other touch screen gloves. These are not super warm gloves but they don't pretend to be. But for it's weight it's surprisingly good. I use them from 8-9 degrees Celsius to maybe 0-2 degrees. Basically mild to cool. The one issue I have is durability and this is why I take off a star. The pads do start to come off and it's why my husband and I have two of these. I get nothing lasts forever but these last maybe 2 winter seasons (before peeling). These are unisex, so for sizing I went for small which works great. In ladies gloves I'm closer to medium or large (in other brands). So if you're a woman and have mediumish hands - get small.
Q: Pros:
A: Light, warm, great for running
Q: Cons:
A: durability
Q: Activity
A: Running, walking around town

Yes, I recommend this product.

Are Sensor Pads useless? Size guide inaccurate?

I tried typing this review on my iPhone 12 Pro while wearing the Rho gloves but it was impossible! I suspect it’s because of the screen protector I have on the phone? I tested the gloves on an old iPod touch with no screen protector and confirmed the gloves worked... even when using the fingers without sensor pads (lol). Are sensor pads even needed? So far, Nitrile gloves seem to work on all touchscreens that I’ve tried. The size guide seems misleading. For example , I measured my hand length to be between 7.75” - 8” and found size small to fit bigger than expected (size small glove measurement shown) . Other than that, I’m still testing these gloves when used as a liner. So far, they’re doing the job; keeping my hands warm and dry.
Q: Pros:
A: Keeps hands warm + dry
Q: Cons:
A: Sensor pads seem useless
Q: Activity
A: Hiking, casual

No, I do not recommend this product.

The pads have come off completely on this pair.  I also purchased the gothic gloves and found the pads are beginning to peel off after light use (I.e. holding keys for locking / unlocking doors, taking cards out of wallet etc.)

Sensor pad does not work.

The main reason I bought this product was because Arc'teryx advertised that you can use your mobile devices with this gloves on. Despite my hope, the sensor pad does not work at all. It's just additional awkward thicker layer on your finger tip. I am disappointed.
Q: Pros:
A: It fits. material is soft
Q: Cons:
A: Sensor pad does not work.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Fit fine but sensor pads do not work

Gloves just arrived from REI. Fit as expected, but like other reviewers have complained the sensor pads on my gloves do not work on any of my mobile devices. This is clearly a manufacturer defect which diminishes the value of the gloves. I purchased these to use the sensor function, so will be returning the gloves tomorrow. Too bad - Arcteryx charges a premium for gear. It should have better quality control.

A: Fit

Awesome Fit/Feel - Sensor Pads Bad

The Rho Glove's fit, feel, material - all awesome. However, the sensor pads do not work at all. If the sensor pads worked, this review would receive a 5+ rating.

Great fit, Great Feel, Great Customer Service

I have large hands. This means that in addition to having trouble finding gloves that fit, I have a tendency, after about 18 months, to pop my fingers out of the end of some other leading wool glove liners. I just received my Rho's last week and they fit great and they feel great. Not sure why another customer said that these don't work well with touchscreens - mine have worked really well with my iPhone. I will say that I had a seam rip on them after just a couple of wears but customer service was super responsive and addressed my issue right away. I can't give these guys 5 stars because I did have that issue but I wouldn't hesitate to get a second pair.
Q: Pros:
A: Fit and Feel; Customer Service
Q: Cons:
A: Quality of initial construction

Great for late fall -early winter hiking.

These gloves surprised me and were perfect for hiking and using trekking poles down to around -2C, below that I used my Venta AR gloves instead. Stood up to a lot of wear and easy to wash. I ordered a Large and they were perfect. Nice length on the wrist cuff fits well  under jacket cuffs.
Q: Pros:
A: Warm and stylish fit.
Q: Cons:
A: No DWR.
Q: Activity
A: Fall/Winter hiking with trekking poles and all around town.

Just okay

The gloves are fine - pretty much just gloves you’d buy from any old store. They fit slightly large due to the stretch of the fabric and the touchscreen feature does not work at all (at least with my iPhone 8). I’ve been wearing Arc’teryx stuff for a long time and I’ve tried a few accessories here and there. Honestly, apart from jackets/pants and climbing gear, I haven’t been impressed by much. But I know they’re working on it.
Q: Pros:
A: Comfortable
Q: Cons:
A: Expensive, touchscreen incompatible
Q: Activity
A: Walking, running, driving

No, I do not recommend this product.

The Lightweight, All-Around Glove Liner

I was looking for a lightweight glove that I could use by itself or as a liner glove to wear under my Alpha SV Mittens. This is it. The lightweight, all-around glove I was looking for! Has that next-to-skin comfort fit and feels like you really aren’t wearing gloves at all. On the approach in an alpine environment, this synthetic glove provides enough warmth by itself and/or during brief, high-output activities. It’s also great a wicking away moisture and works great as a liner glove under my Alpha SV mittens. I’ve had mine for two seasons now and have used them at Rainier, Elbrus, and Kilimanjaro. They’ve held up well after repeated use and washing.

Great gloves for running

I was looking for lightweight gloves specifically for winter running, and these are perfect. When I run I (and my hands in particular) tend to heat up quickly, so I can't wear gloves that are too heavy, but good quality, breathable, lightweight gloves are surprisingly hard to find. To be clear these would not be very warm for walking around town. But I have been comfortable running in these in temperatures down to around 15F/-10C (as a reference point I typically only wear gloves when it's below freezing, so YMMV), and even during harder workouts my hands haven't overheated. Another great product from Arc'teryx.

Arc’teryx makes exceptional clothing. these aren’t one of them.

I absolutely love my Arc’teryx Rho Lt baselayer. It’s as warm as any merino wool garment, it’s warmer, it wicks, and fits well. I was looking for a good pair of electronic device compatible liner gloves that I could wear inside my convertible glo-mitts. I already owned one pair, but they weren’t very warm, and they fit too loosely. So considering the great experience with the Rho lt baselayers, I thought I’d try these. They are not what I had hoped, nor what I expected from Arc’teryx. They were simply not warm. They certainly weren’t as warm as the Rho lt baselayer. They barely blocked a light breeze. The fabric was not as thick as the Rho lt. They tore on my second use. The e-tips are very clumsy. They are small tabs of fake leather hastily sewn on the thumb and forefinger, the edges of which are unfinished, so they “catch” on things. I have other e-tip gloves which are executed much, much more elegantly, seamlessly, and on all fingers. And these e-tips worked only marginally in sub-freezing weather.
Q: Activity
A: Snowshoeing
Proscomfortable
Consnot warm, not durable, e-tips are clumsy and unreliable

No, I do not recommend this product.

I'm a fan of Arc'teryx products but I really can't recommand this one. After one month of use, the material on the fingers of both gloves is falling off. It's not 100% fallen off, but it's lifting or cracking. I use them on a regular basis to commute, nothing special that could have damaged them. Since the finger material is one of the main feature, I can't really help but give them a very poor rating and not recommend them.

Thin and relatively warm but not functional and poor material

I thought these gloves would be the answer to my solution as I needed something thin but relatively warm for outdoor photography. I have worn it for 2 weeks taking the train to work only and the sensor pads on the fingertips is already peeling off. The sensor pads are also not responsive on the phone so I have to always wear it half off to use the touch screen. It does keep your hands relatively warm but the material is not good. I doubt these gloves will last for more than a few months if you are wearing them regularly.
Prosthin & relatively warm
Conssensor pads do not work well, poor overall material

No, I do not recommend this product.
