Daily drivers

Glad to see the Cronin brought back, and the updates are positive imo. More stretch in the material while still maintaining the cotton canvas style, roomier fit for freedom of movement on the wall. Been wearing these in various colours all fall-winter, a true staple pant for me. I’m around 30/31” waist, and generally wear a 32 with no belt, which is the case for the Cronin. I also have 2 pairs in a 34 for extra steaz (belt required, but not bunched or annoying).

Great pant, sad to see them go

Favorite pants I own. Material has a nice thickness without feeling like too much. Stretchy and durable for climbing. I have full uninhibited rang of motion. Rear but pockets are off to the side allowing for items to be placed there without impeding too much while sitting. Great pant, sad it seems like they're phasing them out. Hopefully they bring them back.

Loved em

I use these pants mainly for rock climbing. Indoors and out. Bouldering and sport. They are very breathable and light but have held up well against plastic and real rocks. They allow for a great range of motion I would recommend this product for anyone looking for some high quality climbing pants

Great Pants

Great pants. I'm wearing size 34R but a bit bigger in the waist. I tried 32, but they are too small. I really wish they would start making them in a size 33 waist. Hey Arct, are you planning on making them in size 33? Thanks for the reply.

PROBLEM WITH PANTS

Among all of the good reviews I seem to have found a big issue with these pants. They fit really well on my but there is one HUGE issue with the inner seams that run down the knee and inner thigh. Everytime I move it rubs up against my leg and its so rough and uncomfortable. Something that the designers should consider as it's such a huge issue to me I'm surprised nobody is mentioning it.

Not so tall after all

I ordered these hoping they would live up to the hype. The material is nice. However, the “tall” sizing seems to be wildly off. I added a picture of how the 34T compares to a 34x34 pair of jeans. The tall size looks to have a 32” inseam. Not the 35” inseam that is advertised.

Perfect for any situation

The great part about these pants is their versatility. I've worn them to climb and they give me the stretch and comfort I need to feel confident. But I also wear them as casual, everyday pants, and they're just as comfortable. They're warm enough to wear in most weather, as well. My only drawback is that the inseam is very long, so I have to cuff the bottoms whenever I wear them - but I think it looks good, so it's a minor critique. Planning on making these my go-to trekking pants, as well!

BEST PANTS EVER

I am a woman, with large muscular thighs and a bum. These are fantastic. They fit well, move very well, stretch and breathe well. These are so worth every penny. Material doesn't pill from legs rubbing together and it is very durable.

These Cronin Pants... film sets and casual wear..

I work as an IATSE union 600 still-photographer in the film and television industry with typical 10-16+ hour days. Some times we are in the Louisiana swamps for daytime or all night shoots in ankle deep mud, hot humid triple-digit temps, mosquitos and more, sometimes we are on jagged rough terrain, sometimes we are lucky enough to be on a climate controlled stage. Over the years I've learned that having the best made, most comfortable clothing is so important where I now wear Arc'teryx exclusively at work and at home - pants, hoodies, pull-overs, sweaters, jackets, knee-protectors, ranger and more. My Arc'teryx pants get a LOT of wear and from time to time I add news pants to my collection. These Cronin Cotton Pants are a new addition that will see a lot of use and wear both on film sets and at home!

finally, wide leg climbing pants

these are the best climbing pants i've ever owned. maybe best pant. i have a very wide leg, and always have to buy pants that are too big in the waist for me. finally somebody makes a pant that fits a wider leg, and gives us all a modern look. i bought these first in the stretch nylon, then got a pair of cotton. i now wear the cotton ones every day to work, but also climb when it won't rain. they are more comfortable than the nylon. love the pockets for harness use and articulated knee for comfort. best pants i own!

The search is over...

I've been looking for a pair of pants that don't feel too technical. I love Arc'teryx pants that are geared toward climbing, but sometimes they feel too sporty for casual wear. To be real, the last version of the Cronin pants didn't feel durable enough and they were rather thin. I think the designers went back to the drawing board and did everything right with this new version of the Cronin pant. The cut and material is perfect. It's very similar to Carhartt double knee pants, but way more flexible and lighter weight. The leg is wide, but since the material isn't too rigid, the material flows and lays nicely. This pant is also very durable. I wear these pants probably 4 times a week and they've held up great. The color is very on trend. Green pant supremacy!

My forever pants

I have never found a pair of pants that can go from the outdoors to casual like this. The construction is what is needed for all you adventures but the fit is perfect and super comfortable!! Just ordered my second pair (different color) truly amazing. And for a short king like myself the short sizing is perfect!

Need 1" increments for waist sizes

Need more waist size options (odd and even inches) or have some integrated method to adjust waist. For me, 30 waist is too snug and 32 needs a belt to keep them from sliding down. 31 would be perfect if that were an option. Too bad. Nice pants otherwise

Wrong size clown pant

I’m not sure if these were a manufacturer defect but I ordered a 30 short and they measure out to 33” waist and 31” inseam. My 30 short other pants from arc fit great.

Versatile Threads: Cronin Cotton Pants

I’ve worn this pants on a trail and for daily work, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The fit is excellent, and the pants are versatile enough for climbing, trail hiking, or everyday commuting. The cotton version features solid construction and a true-to-size fit (I got the 32-R). A dependable choice for both outdoor activities and daily use. I wish it had a built-in belt like some of my pants, but that’s just me. Also, this is more dark grey than black.

Best pants, flashback of the old Arc’teryx pants

These are my new favourite pants. They are exactly what I was wanting the brand to bring back because the aristo and spotter pants aren’t available anymore. I wasn’t a fan of the Cronin pants from earlier in the year but these new cotton ones are great. I’ve got big legs and most pants nowadays fit like leggings so these were a nice change as they are a nice straight fit with good stretch.

Lovely pants

So far I’ve been using the Cronin for Bouldering as well as for casual wear. I love how comfortable it is thanks to its stretch fabric as well as the roomy but not overly baggy cut. Personally I think it could be used for almost every activity not only bouldering and climbs. For me the Cronin just hits the sweet spot between a technical pants designed for a purpose and a cool looking all purpose wear all day everyday pants.

Fabric feels good, but not black, stains easily.

The cut and durability of the fabric and design look good. However the black fabric is not black. More of a dark grey that stains easily and does not wash out well. My other Arc black (cotton) pants are noticeably blacker than these, and do not show stains. And my grey Arc pants(cotton) that get stained easily wash out.

Great stitching detail

I noticed that the overlock stitches don't exstend all the way to the hem. It transitions into double stitched seam few inches above the hem. This protects the delicate overlock stitches from being exposed when the pants are rolled up. Really appreciate this detail which shows that durability is incorporated in construction. .

Awesome pants; please expand sizing

Awesome pants. The fabric is soooo comfortable. Feels like it would be durable as well, but I do not have enough data to say. I think they can work for both casual, active, and work days (in a laid-back office environment). Two suggestions: please make tall versions for size 28. 28 regular is too short and 30 T is too large (and sells out really fast!). I would love it and buy more pants. Tall & narrow people like your pants too! :D Second suggestion: consider an integrated waist belt like the women's Clarkia pants, for those of us with smaller waists. Thank you!
