never again worst purchase ever

Unfortunately those shorts were the worst purchase ever. I had them twice for a run/hike and the fabric is damaged already. I ve never seen such a bad quality of sport fabric after really couple of worns. They do run smaller, but thats not an issue, even though I dont understand why arcteryx could add couple cm of lenght for bigger sizes. The shorts definitely doesnt look like in the picture. on a bigger person they are just below the bum.

Most comfy & durable shorts!

These are so comfortable for long distance hiking! My pair of Aestas shorts now have more than 2300km and I’m now at 137 consecutive days wearing them! No sign of any wear so far. They are indestructible!

The only climbing / hiking short I need

FOR ONCE , SHORTS LONG ENOUGH TO DO SPORTS IN!! + they’re Really comfortable, a great quick dry durable material. I’ve been using these for a few months and haven’t worn another short for climbing or hiking since I got them … I’ve also managed to wear them a bunch of times in a row without washing with no smelliness which is such a huge plus too! I sized up slightly to a 6 so that the shorts sit lower waisted. I would say true to size if you want to wear them around your belly button. (5’8” 130lb for reference) Included are some photos of me climbing in the shorts to give you an idea of the fit.

High Hopes but No Go

Been looking for a pair of shorts for climbing and hiking. I'm 5'2m 115lbs, 25-26inch waist. Based on reviews which recommended to size up, I opted for size 4 initially (which were massive) so had to go down to size 2. The shorts do fit, are comfy, beautifully crafted, the smoothed waist is great for a harness, and I appreciate that both pockets can accommodate a full size phone. However I found the fit to be just really awkward - the legs were quite baggy and the waist a bit too high-waisted - its a bit overwhelming for my frame and I felt the shorts were wearing me rather than me wearing them. Maybe its because I am short and perhaps someone who is taller or has longer legs might not have this issue. Had high hopes but no go for me and will be returning.

Favorite pair of shorts!

I use these for climbing and hiking and they are great. If you have bigger thighs and a smaller waist these fit perfectly. They are long enough for me at 175 and not tight on the thighs. shorts are really difficult when you have a big difference in your waist to hip ratio.
