Hiking. Breathable, zippered thigh pocket and 2 hip pockets. Please add the 2nd zippered thigh pocket that you used to have. I need it! Otherwise, these are excellent hiking pants.

Great all around pants

I purchased these pants in 00 short and they fit perfectly. Perfect length and no gap in the back. I use these pants for cycling, hiking, travel and around town. Recently, I took them on a 2 month bikepacking adventure in South America. Travelling light, I took only one pair of pants. I was so impressed with them, that I now have 4 pairs!

Perfect hiking pants

Bought these pants during my Banff camping trip to wear hiking. The weather in Banff was unpredictable and these pants were perfect for cold and warm days. Functionality was great considering I was hiking most days for long hours. Overall, recommend these pants for anyone looking for hiking pants for those days where unpredictable weather.

Si vous êtes de petite taille, ils sont parfaits. J’ai des pantalons Arc’teryx depuis très longtemps et pour ma part ce sont mes favoris, ils me « fit » à merveille avec la jambe ajustée. Le bas, sans être élastique, est très ajusté ce qui est parfait en randonnée. En lisant les commentaires, je me suis rendue compte qu’ils sont vraiment adaptés pour les petites jambes et mollets. Si c'est votre cas, vous allez les adorer. Je porte taille 2.

Favorite summer pants

I love these so much I got two pairs. Super lightweight, these are perfect for hot summer days when you still want your skin covered. The thigh pocket is perfect for a phone or bar - even when wearing a climbing harness. I've worn these for every outdoor climbing day this summer and the thin fabric has held up to rocks and wear. I'm really hoping they're released in a reddish brown. Just a note that the fabric does stain easily - if you live in an apt with shared laundry, don't wash in a communal machine as residue from other people's detergent and fabric softener will create unsightly stains. Luckily, they dry super fast, so I generally handwash in a sink.

The delivery process was very slow and when the trousers did arrive they seem to have been mis sized, ie were a short not a regular. The new tapered legs are awful, many active women have muscles in their calves and who wants clingy trousers, you can buy leggings if you do. Why alter something that worked really well, these WERE the best trousers ever but no longer. I was going to try again and order another pair to see whether I could cope with the tapering in a longer leg length only to find that there is now no stock of my desired colour.

Three years ago I bought 2 pairs of Gamma hiking pants and I still love, love them. I have worn and washed them every week for 3 years. I felt it was time to buy a new pair since these original purchases were getting a bit worn.
I ordered the Gamma LT (for women) thinking they would be the same style and fit that I have come to love. Wrong. The tapered leg is way too tapered and fit tight against my calves - very annoying, it feels like hiking in skinny jeans. I was surprised, given that Arcteryx provides athletic gear - yet athletic women don't fit these pants. Too bad, so sad.

Comfortable pants for any active recreation

I love these pants because they are light, stretchy, and have deep pockets, making them comfortable for a variety of activities or even work. I bought them about six months ago and wear them almost every day.
One thing to note, though, is that the pocket openings can be a bit high, which can be uncomfortable. If you use a backpack with a hip belt, the zippers of the pockets can put pressure on your body, creating some discomfort. I found a solution by unzipping the pockets, allowing the zippers to shift below the belt of the backpack, which helped.

Awesome Golf Pant

These Gamma LT Pants W are the best pants for golf that I’ve found. Style and versatility. I’m a male, but these 2 reg fit perfectly. The legs are trim and when walking in wet grass they do not pick up any moisture. The extra zip pockets are a bonus. Bought two pairs, expensive but worth it. I hope they do not change the style or the lightweight material. Will buy more next year or when on sale.

I was afraid to buy these after reading the last couple of reviews...I owned a pair from 2019 and really liked that style. These arrived today and fit great! The leg is more tapered but not confining or restricting...more like streamlined to make them look a more modern. I am 5'9" got the regular length, and yeah wouldn't say no to an extra inch for total complete happiness, but still not bad! Will probably get the Tall version in a different color.

These might be my favorite pants ever

For me, these pants provide outstanding comfort, versatility, and fit. At 5'2" and about 100 pounds, I usually have difficulty finding pants that fit well; but the 00 size is perfect for me. I wear them hiking, traveling, to dinner parties, and around town. The weight of the fabric has been comfortable for spring temperatures.

Design chang in the new model doesn't fit

I bought a pair of these in 2023 and they were a perfect fit. They changed the design and now it creases horizonally all the way across the hips instead of laying flat. I bought two expecting the same fit but must return them. Otherwise the gamma's were the best pant all around. could hike in them and wear them to the office. also I liked the elastic on the bottom of the pant. far better to work with.

Great lightweight technical pant.

This pant is the best-fitting lightweight technical pant I have worn. Durable while chimneying and off-widthing in Yosemite, stretchy and comfortable both against the skin and over long underwear. I like the fit because they are high enough to sit over my hips, nicely tapered for a slimmer fit and the fabric holds the rolls when I roll them up (I have very short legs). The inside of the waist is comfortable, the little waist-adjusting tab is magic and the thigh pocket fits my iPhone with the case on it which is ideal for multi-pitching. The only thing that would make them better IMO would be a second cargo thigh pocket. I am typically a 4 in pants and the 2 in these pants fit me perfectly.

Bring back the old gammas!

I don't usually write reviews but these pants have really disappointed me. I had the previous Gamma LT and when I tell you they were the *best all-rounder pant I've ever had*, I don't mean that lightly. The old gammas fit amazing (super flattering) and were super versatile: climbing 10/10, hiking 10/10, daily wear 10/10. They were just absolutely fantastic. Quite tragically, they got stolen a few months ago (long story), so I decided to buy a new pair.
These do not even come close. The material is different, feeling really quite restricting at times around the upper thigh particularly with flexible moves when climbing (I'm an athletic build, so my waist and upper thigh/hip can be tricky to size with pants). I got exactly same size, yet these hover above the ankle in a weird way, and the overall fit is really quite unflattering, bunching around the hip area. I usually love how arcteryx fits and their choice of materials, but this one fell really short of their usual standard, in my opinion.
This review is just to say bring back the old gammas!!!! They were so amazing, and it makes me so sad that they've been discontinued. If anyone is getting these hoping for something similar to their previous version, please do not bother :(

I love these pants so much! I bought them to be a versatile hiking & travel pant for a trip through 4 continents and wore them almost every day. I am so happy with them. Comfy, water resistant, stretchy, look nice, 3 good sized zipper pockets.
I think the sizing is a bit weird but for me it was absolutely perfect. I'm 5'2", 115 pounds. Pants are always too long on me. I bought a size 2 (which is strange, I'm usually 4-6) and they are the perfect length and fit. They were a bit snug at first but stretched a bit overtime so now they are slim but not snug.

Bring back the old fitted design.

I'm not a fan of the revised version of these pants. I own the old versions of the GAMMA and GAMMA LT and those designs fit much better. This new design is not fitted, it's loose in the hips and thighs. And, the rise is longer so when cinched at the waist it saggy at the crotch. I also don't like the new small adjustable belt/strap. It's hard to adjust. Prefer the old style where a the adjustment strap is like a belt with a buckle.
Great things about it didn't change. Love the lightness of the material and the large thigh pocket.

Overall great everyday pants. Short length with tapered fit for me (just under 5'7") is great. I like the waist cinch and use the side leg pocket all the time. Plus they don't ride down when putting anything with weight in it. Crotch is a bit roomy but I do have small/athletic hips. Biggest peeve is they are noisy. I've even had comments from others so these are my 'noisy pants'.

Great fitting pants

As the owner of a several jackets, I had not yet tried pants from Arcteryx being petite. I was in search of a quality light hiking pant and decided to try the Gamma Lightweight Pant. I was thrilled to see it being offered in a short length in addition to Regular and Tall. I wasn't 100% certain if the inseam would still be too long but lo and behold, they are perfect, just slightly longer than ankle length. I am 5'1" and ordered the size 2-S. They are extremely lightweight and appreciate that the integrated belt actually works but would have also preferred belt loops so that I could use my own belt.

Very strange fit

I purchased this as a gift for my wife. She loves the Kyla Pant and customer service suggested that this new Gamma Lightweight Pant was a replacement. The Gamma is very odd! the legs are super short like high-waters or capri length, and the waist is so high the pants fit like really bad 'mom-jeans'.

Nice fabric, poor fit

I have both the Gamma Pants and Gamma shorts which I love and wanted another lightweight pant I could use for hiking. While the Gamma Pants are fitted and the adjustable belt is great, the Gamma Lightweight pant bags in the rear and thigh area and become looser even after wearing for an hour which is why I returned them. In addition, the built in adjustable belt/strap (unlike the Gamma pants) isn't able to be tightened enough to have the pants stay up comfortably.

Good pants, nice and light. Great with two thigh pockets. I would like to see a more effective button as it is useless. The belt is what keep it up. I would like the bottom cuff a little wider to stay over the top of hiking boots.

Favorite climbing pants!

Love these pants! I bought the previous version about 2 years ago, and they are by far my favorite pair of climbing and hiking pants. They are lightweight enough that I can wear them on hot midwestern days. They've held up really well to climbing on many types of rock. Nice, mid-rise, comfortable fit.

Good for everyday-wear, less so for climbing

I work as an outdoor educator, and bought these pants for day-to-day wear, but also for climbing. I found they fit the bill for work wear, with many pockets and a professional-looking cut, but were a tad too narrow and low-rise to really move with me while climbing. I found I also have to cinch in the waist a LOT to get them to stay up when I have anything heavy in my pockets, like my phone or keys.

These pants used to be so bomber - I owned several previous versions. But the new version was significantly less quality which is such a bummer. Mine seem to have pulled on both legs and ripped on the pocket after light use which is crazy considering my 2020 version of these same pants were put through the ringer. The fit is awesome and the short cut is perfect so I’m so sad they got damaged so quickly.

Great pants

I bought these pants about a month ago and I am very happy that I did it. They were perfect for hot weather where I traveled. l really impressed with the quality .
