Gamma Pant Women's

I’ve been wearing my new pants every day I go hiking and I love them in sun, wind, rain and steep terrain. Perfect fit, love the leg pocket (but would prefer two!) Would love if the tall were 2” not 3” longer than the regular size.

I use the pants for hiking. For me it has the perfect fit - I bought a 6-T - it is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and the fabric appears to be robust. I actually bought a second pair because I like it so much.

Love the fit and length of the pant. The material feels elevated but also high performance.

The inseam description for these is very misleading. I’m 5’10 and ordered a 6T and the inseam is only 29.5 inches at best. The description says a tall would be 34 inches, but it references a 32T as the example. So maybe this got mixed up with the mens sizing? Either way, 29.5 is way too short for a tall size. Especially since the short size inseam is supposedly 29.

Oof, this new cut is bad. Please bring back the athletic, functional, tailored cut rather than this sad attempt at fashion.

Let me start by saying that the older version of these pants were incredible. I own 5 pairs, and I wear them everywhere for everything. After the zippers finally gave out on a couple of my older pairs, I bought a new Gamma Pant a few months ago. I've had a few months of wearing them to see what I think. First, I find the high waist to be really annoying to wear when hiking or working outdoors. It's not comfortable, and they frequently ride up. I know that high waisted pants are back in style, but in my opinion, these are not cutting it. I also noticed that the new version is baggier in the leg, which is not needed and just makes the pants feel bulky. Finally, the new waist belt is AWFUL. After just a few trips through the washing machine, the waist belt has become completely twisted. I haven't been able to straighten it out, and it makes the pants pretty uncomfortable to wear. Like others have pointed out, the old buckle across the front snap was far superior to the new flimsy snap. I definitely got my money's worth out of my old pairs of Gamma pants, but I feel like I wasted $200 on these. I hope Arc Teryx makes some much needed adjustments in the future so I can start loving these pants again. Until then, I guess I'll continue to wear out my old ones.
