Poor fabric quality

I purchased those pants in December for ski touring, and within two months, the pants cracked at the back. Even though the fit is excellent, the pockets at the right place, etc., the price tag is not worth the poor fabric quality. There must be plenty of other options for Gore-Tex pants that are made to last. If you're looking to spend money and be flashy go for it, but it's not worth it as you'd probably need to buy new ones for the next ski season.

The Good the Bad and the Ugly

Just had my first day out in these bibs and normally don't post reviews but felt compelled to share my impressions. I'm 6' 210 lbs and the fit is perfect except for a super sloppy weird excess/abundance of material around the knee and shin area. Apparently Arc'teryx pants run a bit longer but why on earth would you need/want longer ski pants when regular access to buckles is necessary? Please for the love of God just err on the side of shorter more taylored fitting for such an expensive item. This would save you guys a ton of material money on these awesome investment pieces. The mid section fits perfectly with a band of stretchy material sewn into the top portion and allows for a little beer belly which helps as you get older and fatter. The pockets are perfectly placed and well though out nothing superfluous in the design. I'd also like to have the thinnest amount of insulation around the groin area for just a bit of extra warmth like my Rush IS jacket. The weird leg length and sloppy knee fit are the biggest issues with these bibs. I'm hoping i can get these altered by about 3-4 inches in the legs just to get these bibs to fit right. Better fit and thin insulation around groin and these bibs would get 5 stars.
Q: Pros:
A: Waist fit, pocket design
Q: Cons:
A: Excessively long, sloppy knee area

A: Alpine skiing

Amazing Hardshell bibs, expensive, but worth it?

I am a mono sit-skier, and using snow pants, always ended up with snow down my backside and the pants inevitably sliding down as I transferred in and out of the sit-ski bucket treating support people to the flesh as bright as snow that should not be seen. Anyhow, I needed to try a pair of bibs rather than pants. These bibs are awesome! It's a little bit of an adjustment figuring out an extra layer underneath as they are shell's and not insulated, but I kinda prefer that. The cost of these bibs is astronomical, but I justified on account of the Beta AR Acteryx jacket that still looks almost brand new after using for the last four years and I hope the bibs will last at least as long. Fit is great, although a little tight on the love handles which is something to consider as these bibs do come up pretty high.
Q: Pros:
A: bombproof hardshell, stay on
Q: Cons:
A: expensive, no insulation

We cant be experiencing the same pair of pants!? You actually use the word bombproof!? These things are barely scuffle-proof. Please report back with the number of holes after some good use.

I've only had two very short and light days in ski boots and already they have holes. I expect they would be torn to shreds after any rigorous use. I have arcteryx pants with hundreds of days on them sadly these ones are not built for purpose. A service request has been submitted.

Have to agree with this comment. The bottom of the pant REALLY needs to be reworked - they're terrible. I'm on new pants and skis and the edges are sliced through the bottoms like butter. No way I'm going to get more than 2 seasons out of them - he pants are already 50% tenacious tape round my ankles!

Great ski pants

Super pleased with the rush bibs so far. Very light and flexible, totally keep out all water and snow and wind, while remaining quite breathable. I like the zipper configuration, the pockets are nice. The quads are on the tighter side, and the length (as with all arcteryx pants, seemingly) are definitely too long. While I haven't had any issues yet, I do worry a bit about the durability of the fairly thin and soft material. The straps are very comfortable, and the softer bib material around the waist feels like it isn't even there: perfect. Super comfortable while ripping through the resort and doing a bit of in-bounds hiking
Q: Pros:

Terrible Durability

After 5 days in the backcountry, these pants developed two tears near the cuff and above the cuff area. I would not recommend these pants to anyone looking for something to last more than a year in one piece. Very disappointing product, clearly not designed "fit for purpose". Grab yourself a pair of Mammut or Peak Performance pants instead of these, or buy something for 1/3 cost that is more durable.

Bought these for ski touring in Alaska and they are amazing. Great movement and so light. The fit is awesome. I am 6'3, 230lbs and went with the XL and glad I did. It would be great if Arc'teryx released these in a tall, but otherwise 10/10.

Nice fit but not durable at all

I recently purchased the Arc'teryx Rush Bib Pants and was initially impressed by their fit and comfort. However, after just two days of use in the backcountry, I was disappointed to find that the leg cuffs had already started tearing. This was a major disappointment, especially considering the high price tag of these pants. While the fit and comfort of the pants were excellent, the lack of durability was unacceptable. I had high expectations for these pants, given that they are advertised as being suitable for backcountry use, but they simply did not hold up to the rigors of the wilderness. Overall, while the Arc'teryx Rush Bib Pants may fit well and be comfortable, they are not durable enough for backcountry use. For the price, I expected much better performance and durability, and was ultimately disappointed by their lack of longevity. I agree with @Jaspreets comment in all points.

Good fit and colours, not durable enough.

I bought these pants a few days ago to use for back country skiing. The pants failed after 2 trips abrasion near the boot cuff and currently arcteryx won't work on non warranty repairs. I'm out riding a 700+ dollar set of pants that are not durable enough. Pros: -Plenty of space in the quads, nice length and good enough space around the boots. -Well placed zippers. Accessible and logically placed. - suspender adjustment is quick and easy. -packable and light weight. -Stretch backing around the bib upper, really helpful when hunching over etc, movement doesn't feel restricted. Cons: - no reinforced cuff on the back of the pants just on the inside of the ankle. Np80x is durable but not the same as a tpu reinforced material. Bindings and boards are hard goods and will wear though anything even after a single brush. - no full length leg zippers ( I loved the fact that the beta sv bibs had this feature) changing or going to the bathroom was amazing. (I wish they had kept the beta sv bibs and just made updates to them). - fabric choice (wish they had used a blend of np80x and np-140 keeping the bib light and reinforced in high wearing areas. -Only 1 long zipper on the right hand side. Running the left side zipper to a longer length would be better at helping control temperature when touring and needing to vent off extra heat. - a 3rd zipper (when combined with a longer zipper) would allow you to open the vents on the bib and adjust how much of it is open (when you're touring and running into smaller brush, rather than snagging, close off the vent in the lower portion and allow heat to still escape).

Just had a similar very bad experience with customer care. My rush jacket of 4 years old is completely delaminating and I also got the response this doesn’t fall under their limited warranty. If a $700 dollar jacket is only supposed to last 4 years maybe indeed check out another brand.

Amazing weather protection and breathability, even without using the side openings. Easy to put on with the side zipper. Adjusting the boots its easy as well. The four pockets are convenient to store food, arva, etc, but I would make one of the upper ones bigger to fit a smartphone easily. I'm 175cm and 62kg, size S fits well in waist, length is also fine but I find the legs too wide.

These are good bib pants but tight. A medium in most pants is too big but the small fits my waist and torso good except it is tight in the quads. I can feel it even when I'm just putting it on. It even tighter trying to layer underneath. I really like the stretch material around the abs.

The functions and features were improved to match the 2012 Stinger over the 2021 Micon but the fit isn’t quite there yet. I wear a large in most everything 6’2 , 200lbs. But they are not large enough in the quad area. Eliminated the wedgy problem of the Micon but no room for more than a single base layer in the quad. Maybe 2023 will be the year for new pants…

Very nice bibs

Tried them out for the first time and they are very well made, very light, and fit nicely. I’m 6’4 and the XL fits perfectly. Only thing left is to see how long they last.

Exactly what I was looking for.

I haven't had them on snow yet, but after a long search, these have the feature set I was looking for and fit perfectly. The softshell bib fits like a gentle corset, the hem length is perfect and doesn't ride up when striding or bending, overall they spit the difference between baggy and tight, the cuff protection is the same bomber material as the pro pants, and I'm pretty confident the 70D Nylon with Gore Most Rugged fabric will perform. The only unknown is how they hold up over time.
