Comfy all day cragging shoe

I've been wearing the Kragg for a year now and they've become a staple for mellow days outside, travel, and everyday wear. They are some of the most comfortable shoes that I've worn, and I'm able to spend a whole day on my feet in them without any worry. The relaxed fit makes them easy to slip on and off with or without socks, which makes them great for climbing days when I'm frequently switching between climbing and regular shoes. They tend to fall off my feet if I'm pushing them on anything harder walking up a steep hill, though the rubber has surprised me on some careful 5th class scrambles. In a pinch, they are comfortable enough to run in, though similarly they'll fall off of my feet if I'm sprinting. There is some wear on the fabric of the heel where it meets the rubber, as well as along the outside edge at the fabric/rubber junction. Because of their comfort and ease of putting on and taking off, they're my go-to travel shoe. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe for non-technical outside excursions.

Looks great... but everything else is trash

tl;dr: they are not durable, hurt pinky toes, smell awful and feel sticky while wearing barefoot
.
DURABILITY:
after just a week of use, the tissue just behind the heel and before the outsole flattens and creates an ugly “step”
the area of first contact of the outsole with the ground is totally flat like Vans. Therefore, it wears unevenly and extremely fast (a few weeks is enough to start seing the damage). A shoe advertised as “approach walking” should have a curve in this area to avoid premature wear…
the white model gets permanent stains from pretty much anything that touches its upper! I had a little mud stain after a few days of use, tried anything and everything to clean it but it just didn’t go away.
FIT:
the toebox is not wide enough. They say it’s a shoe to relax the toes between climbs at the crag? This is totally misleading! the toes are squished because of 1) the narrow toebox and 2) the hard plastic toe protection which creates friction and blisters, even on a short approach walk
FEEL:
THEY SMELL AWFUL - which is not the case with my other shoes.
Advertised as “can wear barefoot” ? They are so sticky and uncomfortable while barefoot that I never want to wear them without socks. Between climbs my feet are sweaty which makes it even worse
“breatheable upper” ? I sweat like a pig in these shoes as soon as temperatures rise a tiny bit - especially towards the toes since that part is totally insulated by hard plastic.
Other than that, they are comfortable with socks but as I said, can’t walk with them very long or it creates blisters on the pinky toes. It’s very convenient to just slide them on. They’re definitely the best looking slip-on shoes ever made… but there are so many things that are wrong.
What a shame because with a wider toebox, more breathable non-stink mesh material, cork sole if it’s supposed to be barefoot to avoid stickiness… it would be the best walking/travel shoe ever made.

This is a wonderful shoe. It's like I am walking on a cloud. Totally different sensation than any other footwear I've owned. In a great way. The foldy back is neat but they are so easy to slip on and off that I don't need to use that much. So far quality and durability are excellent. I know they are approach shoes but I wear mine all the time at work and around town. I'm here because I want a second pair in a different color.

These are soooo comfy! Like walking on marshmallows! I wouldn't use these for approach shoes, I would use these as my every day lounging, comfy, TLC-for-my-feet kinda days! And I like that you can fold down the heel so you can wear them like slippers.
I am usually a size 8.5-9 and got these in a women's size 8

Slide on flats. The shoe runs small. Best to try on in store. Tight in the toe area, rubber presses down on toes, uncomfortable fit. The look is great get lots compliments, overall nice shoe to slip on and off.

Shoes are very comfortable. They fit like a sock, but have a durable sole. The blending of the two seems to work well. The sizing is a bit odd to me. I have 7 pairs of Arc'teryx shoes all in 10.5 to include both running shoes and their hightop hikers. For this shoe the description is a roomy fit with room in the toe box. For me this shoe in my normal size fit more like a traditional approach shoe where my toes were touching the inside of the toe box. It wasn't uncomfortable, but did fit more like a glove than a roomy shoe. The 11 I found gave me more room in the toe box, but it felt too loose around the heel and mid foot.

Mis à part le look inhabituel, le confort est formidablement là. Les pieds sont enveloppés dans une structure très douce. Je me vois mal faire de la marche d'approche avec ces chaussures qui sont trop légères et me semblent fragiles au premier abord. Le prix est exagéré et j'espère que je vais quand même les garder longtemps.
Je réserve ces chaussures soit pour la ville soit pour chez moi comme des chaussons (j'habilite à la campagne).

The shoe is stylish and cozy but has too loose of a fit. I have a wide foot and it never felt snug in this shoe even with socks. The quality also feels lacking to be considered an approach shoe especially compared to competitors like la sportiva or BD. Perhaps if the price point was closer to a $100 I'd keep them but for their current valuation it's not worth it.

Comfortable and attractive daily shoe.

I was unsure of these but I love them. They are replacing my birkenstocks as daily office/home/wear around shoes. The casual feel and comfort of them feels pretty matched, but the function far exceeds what else I have. The vibram sole and smear toe really works. I could climb 5.9 in these if I really needed to.
Been loving them for exactly the intended use, too. The flip down heel makes them so great for jumping in & out of climbing shoes in the gym or at the crag.
Last, despite the low profile look, I am turning more heads in these than anything I own. 60% of my coworkers asked me about these on the day I got them. The compliments are flowing, if you're into that.

Comfortable, but two month break down

I purchased Arc’teryx’s Kragg Shoe expecting the high quality the brand is known for, but I’m extremely disappointed. After just two months of light use, the rubber on the side broke. For a premium product, this is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, when I reached out to customer service, they refused to acknowledge it as a defect and claimed it was “wear and tear.” This is shocking, especially since I found out that other customers with the exact same issue were offered vouchers as compensation. Why am I being treated differently? Case Number 01584932
It’s frustrating to see inconsistent and unfair handling of customer complaints. If this is how Arc’teryx deals with loyal customers, I’ll think twice before purchasing from them again. For the price we pay, both the product quality and customer service should be much better.
I expected more from Arc’teryx, and this experience has been a major letdown.

It's great but...

Love the design, it's confortable, but I'm using for a few months only and it's already damaged and I'm using only in the city. I'm not a hiking person. For the price, these shoes should be more resistant. I saw the new Black mid-height shoe but if it will be durable same as this beige model, don't worth the money. Maybe on sale it's ok, but not the full price.

Super comfortable, bad quality though

They’re super comfortable but the quality is crap. The pull tab came off within 2 month and I’d only been wearing them for a few weeks. I’ve worn my Araksys approach shoes for 7 years now and they’re in better condition than the Kragg was after a few weeks.
I really wanted to like these shoes but at $160 they’re not worth it.

I received these shoes at the beginning of September and I have used them often because they are extremely comfortable, but I think that €160 shoes cannot last only two months, they are opening up at the top both on the left side more markedly than on the right, I wonder if there is some sort of guarantee, otherwise for the first time I am extremely disappointed by a brand that I consider excellent

Good, but arrived moldy.

The overall product seems to be good quality - but I received mine and it appears there is mold on both of the "tongue" areas. It wasn't too bad, and I just wiped them off with alcohol wipes, but this is kind of disappointing for a brand like Arc.

Great all round shoes! Sizing could be better

Extremely comfortable, and seem to be reasonably durable too. I wish Arc'teryx would switch to making half size jumps between shoe sizes instead of 2/3 jumps. Because of this I can only wear them with very thin socks or no socks - and if I size up it's way too big. Especially since it's a performance oriented brand, fit is very important.

Great casual shoes but not for the approach

Shoes are comfortable until you use them to walk downhill. Foot slips with in the shoes and then my toes would constantly smach into the front of the shoes. I think there would be great for wearing casually or while traveling, but not for the approach or crags.

Sleek, comfortable but not durable.

I bought a pair as soon as they were released. The design is very minimalist and sharp. The insole is about an inch thick, making it very comfortable. The Vibram sole has excellent traction. I usually wear Onitsuka Tiger slip-ons when I go out, and I've been alternating them with this pair.
Durability of these shoes is quite disappointing. After just a few months, the pull tab at the heel tore where it connects to the upper, and the padding in the heel also ripped. Today, a small hole appeared where the fabric of the upper connects to the rubberized material.
Hope Arc'teryx addresses these issues in the next generation of this product.
