Great bag but one huge oversight is that the strap is very rough and doesn't have enough width. If you wear this cross body, the strap material is rough enough that it will chafe any bare skin it comes into contact with, (neck, shoulder if you have a tank top on) especially if its full and/or heavy. Lots left to be desired regarding the strap, usual sling bags come with a full 1.25" vs this bag's 0.75" wide strap which distributes the weight better and is made of much softer material. Quite a shame because I want to love this bag but the strap is an essential part which makes or breaks the value. Now I have to either return it or buy a strap at an additional cost but the colours will be mismatched.

Despite the name, it is very universal pack. It can be cross body bag, arm bag, or waist pack. Great quality.Very convenient pocket for your smartphone. Recommended for tourists to keep essential belongings nearby. APPROVED!

Just right in so many ways

Generally speaking, I'm not into the belly bag/man purse thing. But this Murse/bag works so well it's wonderful to use. Cross body front or back and around the waist front or back all work exceedingly well. It's big enough for a iPad mini and plenty of other things. In addition to that it's well made and has great organizational dividers and pockets. Love this bag!

I’m loving it. I’m not a fan of waist bag. But this one makes my life easier. I can have it in my shoulder and waste area. It is very comfortable to wear. My phone, wallet, EarPods, extra battery pack and car keys are all stored in this bag. I guess this bag will go wherever I go.

Die Mantis 2 hat eine angenehme Größe. Ich nehme sie meistens mit, wenn ich mit dem Hund spazieren bin, aber auch auf kurzen Wanderung kann sie schonmal den Rucksack ersetzen. Es passt alles nötige rein und das extra Handyfach finde ich genial, vor allem, da es groß genug ausfällt. Mein Samsung S20+ samt Flipcase passt locker dort hinein.
Durch die Einteilung, bzw. die Fächer findet alles seinen Platz und es entsteht nicht so eine Unordnung, als wenn man nur ein großes Fach hätte.
Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei, aber ich muss mich dem ein oder anderen Vorredner anschließen: Der Riemen hätte etwas breiter ausfallen können. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.
Vom Preis her ist es tatsächlich auch okay. Da gibt es teurere Taschen, die wesentlich weniger bieten.
Positiv ist auch die große Farbauswahl.

Super Tasche, aber war mal besser

Als absoluter Fan der kleineren Variante Mantis 1 legte ich mir nun auch die größere Variante zu. Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht über den schmaleren Trägerriemen. Der von der kleineren Tasche war breiter und weicher, einfach angenehmer in der Haptik. Jetzt ist er schmaler, dünner und härter. Wirklich schade. Vor allem ärgerlich ist, dass auf den Fotos meiner Ansicht nach der breitere Riemen abgebildet ist.

Comparing to previous design, inner zip pocket is now placed at the padded wall giving a better weight balance when left opened. Zipper openings for both compartments feel wider too. Yes! I like the improvements. Thanks.

Amazing Functionality, Bad Durability

I bought this product for my trip to Japan around winter break. It held all of my important documents and items going there and back. After the first week I started to notice little holes on the back of the pack and started getting worse and worse as I wore it more. I'm guessing the material of the bag was scratching with the material on my jacket. I was very disappointed that the bag was in this bad of shape after a two week trip. Haven't worn it since.

I recieved a Mantis 2 over a year ago, and i wasn't sure if I'd use it beyond "puppy training / dog walking" pack. Welp, I'm addicted. It's my daily "purse" and my travel companion for everything. From international travel days to dog strolls to errand running I always have my Mantis with me. I got a new one just a few weeks ago to have a different colour option and to dedicate my older one to my muddy or rainy day dog walking adventures since it hasn't been treated the most kindly by myself after big soggy days.

Bad Straps

I've owned the previous version of these waist packs, the Maka 2, and I still use it to this day. That's how good the quality was. WHY change the straps to be thinner in depth and width but the bag is bigger. It's now uncomfortable with any weight in it. Even the clasps that hold the straps to the pouch aren't even the same build quality. I honestly don't recommend this bag after seeing the change in an integral part of having a comfortable strap bag. Arcteryx please explain this.

Versatile and widely adjustable, the mantis 2 is spacious enough for just about everything I carry with me on day to day errand runs or anything really. The phone sleeve on the backside has more than enough space for my iPhone 13 with otter box case. The main interior pocket is huge and easily fits my wallet, sunglasses and other ditties. I use the smaller front zip pocket for my car keys. I got the orca colour and the white zippers and logo add a nice pop to the black. Great investment for an everyday crossbody bag or wear it like a waist pack.

I had the older version and this new one has a slot for iPhone 13 plus max, many hidden zippers and storage. 10/10 would recommend vs spending 100+ on a "quality pack". Holds my sunglasses, cash, wallet, business cards, hand wipes and car keys no problem, highly reccomneded.
