Toric Tank Women's

Fits really small, I sized up but probably should have went up 2 sizes instead. The way its cut in the front is really unflattering if its even slightly too small. The material is really nice and the built-in bra is a nice feature. Overall, I think it's a good tank if you size it properly and have a shape that works with the cut. It seems like it is made for petite build. If you're looking for an Arc tank top, I'd suggest the Soria!

The Camino came to me like a breeze on a hot summer’s day. It wasn’t always something I’d always thought of but I knew it was there. After tackling the Appalachian Trail in 2021 and the Continental Divide trail in two seasons, I figured I’d needed something different. My ankle had taken a beating and I knew that surgery was to come in October. I needed one last show before the curtains closed for the winter. Portugal called to me in December of 2023 and she never let go of her embrace. Listening and following my heart was what I needed to do and so I came back for two months to explore not just the Camino but the culture, language and community of a place I will one day call home. Just like previous thru-hikes, I collected my hiking gear- a 40L backpack, my 48 degree quilt plus a liner, a headlamp and a water bladder which I tossed halfway through my hike. For this trek, I wouldn’t need a tent or sleeping pad as accommodations were required at hostels, hotels or the worst- albugures or pilgrim hostels that made me feel like I was at a summer camp with 30 bunks in one room! For someone with social anxiety, I avoided those at all costs! I also do a common hiker tradition- I packed my fears. Winter has always been my season and my Arc’teryx layers have never let me down even in the brutal winds of the White Mountains of New Hampshire but would my summer layers stand up to the heat? Truthfully, I don’t know how to prepare for heat as I hate the summer- the bugs the brambles and the brutality of it all have never appealed to me. Would I melt like a popsicle or stand bold like a sunflower? The only way to find out was to experiment. I packed two pairs of clothes- my purple toric tank Aerios shade hat-velocity of course as it matched my fit My Arc’teryx Rho pants and a pair of basic shorts. Plus my puffy because that’s one item I never leave behind. As someone who runs cold, I just like being prepared for the worst. Did I use it? Well that’s another story. On August 29th I set out for the Camino Portuguese starting from Porto, I followed the Litoral way out- the route that follows the coast on a nice flat boardwalk. The breeze of the ocean wiped away my worries and the abundance of fresh seafood filed my belly. Every step gave me confidence as I trekked my first pilgrimage through two countries. It wasn’t until I crossed over to the central route about 90km north, where I begun to feel the heat. While others stayed bundled up in sun gear, I let my arms hang out in my toric tee. I loved how it hugged my body and seemed to repeal sweat. I never felt like I was swimming in my top, plus it was cute so I couldn’t resist. For 273 kilometers, I flaunted my tee and never felt like I overly hot. The materials were soft and I never wanted to take it off. It’s always been my favorite summer Arc’teryx fit. Purple was the color of royalty and when I got my Burger King crown at the end in Santiago, I felt like a Queen. I had finished my pilgrimage through the 28 C days and it really was no sweat!
