Great Jacket

I've used this jacket both at the resort and heli-skiing. I'm a ski patroller and wish this was the jacket we used! I appreciate the chest pocket sized for a radio and accompanying mic clip for easy access. I use bib pants so do not mind the lack of a powder skirt. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Jacket But Sleeves Too Long

Overall, excellent jacket. Sleeves are too long for ski jacket. Sizing is strange. I am 6 feet tall and 190 pounds and have been consistently a size large in Arcteryx jackets for the past 25 years. With this jacket, I need to size down to a medium. And arms are still too long.

Sleeve length is too long.

I just purchased the jacket, cannot comment on performance, but sleeve length is ridiculously long. I purchased men's medium: chest, waist and hips are all as described in sizing chart and fit guide, but sleeves look like XXL sleeves sewn onto a medium jacket. I previously had Beta AR jacket and understand the sleeves are long for functional purposes, but this jacket takes excess sleeve length to a whole new level.

Great Shell. Classic Arcteryx Quality.

The Ski Guide Jacket is a great versatile piece of kit that is bombproof and well designed. I've had an Alpha shell for years and it's still great but I love the radio pocket, which obviously is not just limited to radio use. I've seen reviews that compare the fabric to a Beta shell but to me it feels as robust as my Alpha. Fit and construction are top notch. If I had to gripe about something I'd wish for another inch in the hips but that's pretty individual. Very happy with my purchase.

Great fit, comfortable. Fabric doesn’t seem boxy - rather soft. Tons of useful feature. Key watch point thought: It’s more lava red than Ski Patrol red. Wouldn’t be ok as a patrol jacket; too orange-y.
