Ski Guide Bib Pant Men's

If you will be heli skiing, these bibs are the bomb. At first, I thought that the padded knees were overkill but after 7 days kneeling in front of helicopter skids, I'm convinced. They do run trim through the torso, so you may have to size up

Like others have said, the fit/sizing is not like any other pant. If you wear a medium snow pant, get a large. If you like a baggy/relaxed/oversized fit, go up two sizes. I like a baggy fit and the large in any other brand gets me there. A large in this bib fits me like a traditional “regular” fit. The elastic permanent belt (not the one you can remove) snugs up the waist making this bib fit smaller. Contoured at the waist and crotch still rides high but adjustments with the suspenders allows me to drop it for more room. I did add a plastic strap glider on the back to help secure the suspenders so they don’t fall off the shoulders. Length may be long for some but I like a slightly longer fit so when sitting on the chair the pants don’t ride up. I am 5’10 160 pounds. I the gait or in the cuff is different, they are short and you need to sinch it below the two buckles in order for the hem to fall to the bottom of the boot. This may keep snow out better but it’s a bad design. I adjust my buckles throughout the day and having to uncinch the gaiter each time to do it is more work. Never had snow issues with a traditional snow gaiter. Material is really tough but still super light weight, has the feel of a high denier surface. The web like material on the inside of the ankles to protect from tearing is nice but pretty loud taken you walk around, kind of annoying. Thigh pockets are nice but wish there were two hand pockets as well. Small bib pockets are not super ideal as you can’t access them with mid and outer layers on.. Vents are well placed and crotch zipper is nice and long and easy to access. I do like this bib and I’ve work a bunch from a lot of different brands. I think I still prefer a bib that comes up high to the chest that has more pockets for like a radio and other items when you’re at base or on sit. This just fits me kinda loose without being oversized and gives me freedom of movement while still having bib coverage. Some small changes can make this bib great. Two hand pockets and put traditional snow gaiters at the hem. More drastic is make this a taller bib either a chest pocket.

The bib pant fits perfect, gaiters fits over open touring skiboots. Knee pads are comfortable and keep the knees warm.

Great fit, perfect features, and most importantly, they stand up to a lot of abuse. These are also the most moisture resistant pants I’ve ever had.

Fits me very well. Knee pads are absolutely great addition for my work! They block the wind when I'm on the chair lift and make my life easier when I have to get down on my knees. So far these bibs give me nothing but satisfaction. However, I do wish the pocket zipper can be easier to unzip and reach in.

The cut for the large feels inaccurate. Compared to the Saber bib, the Pros are cut way smaller and the inseam has no room. Going up a size felt like a parachute. But, the addition of the knee pads was an incredible detail. I would also ask they ditch the integrate belt and just off belt loops. It was annoying to have the buckle sneak inside the channel each you try put in the pant.

The material quality on this product are top tier and the features are hard to find on any other product in the market. My main issue is with the sizing chart on the website. Previous comments mention it fits small, but I didn't realize how small they meant. I'm 175cm tall and wear 32 waisted pants. I ordered a medium, and it feels like I'm wearing a small or extra small. The crotch rides really high, leaving no space even after fully loosening off the overall straps. The waist is really snug without the belt on, feels like a 30 waist instead of a 32. Definitely consider ordering a size (or two) larger than what you would normally get. Arcteryx has great customer service and took care of the exchange for me to a larger size with no problem.
