This pack is SWEEET! Super lightweight, super comfortable, and fits a lot of gear. I used this pack this summer on alpine rock climbing adventures on Mt. Washington in NH and it held up really well. I enjoyed how well it fit with a full double rack of cams, slings, harness, etc. I'm excited to test this out this winter and ice climb with it. Would recommend!

Absolutely poor quality pack, so dissatisfying that the bird transfer has started to come off already!!! Testament to the mass produced pack! Do not buy this!

The go to day pack.

This is my long day trail and climb pack where I need just a little extra storage. I sometimes use it for ski touring as well as well. It's ultra light, has simple layout and the material keeps the water out. It's super comfortable when loaded to the brim or compressed down for the final jog out to the trail head. Pretty sure it'll last forever.

Light, simple and robust it all we need in the end.
From simple climbing day to daily spliboard bag on Denali expedition it's a go to for all our activities.
Love the white aesthethic the brand brought to it.

Lightweight and comfortable

Great Backpack very light and comfortable.
I used this back-pack in summer for Alpine route in the Monte-Rosa range.
I see two downsides of this back-up:
- There is no more elastic drawcord in front of the back-pack. Crampons needs to be stored inside which is taking space that could be used for something else, additional clothing, or food when going in mountains for multiple days.
- The compressions straps are self detaching easily. The plastic binder should be revised.
As an Alpine Back-pack compression straps are not usefull, especially in summer (no skis to carry). I would have rather kept the elastic draw cord and removed the compression straps

Great pack but some downsides

Overall, I think this is a durable and mostly well designed pack. However, I’ve had some frustration with the plastic bits. On my second day using this pack the fabric part of the sternum strap ripped completely off the plastic clasp rendering it useless and unrepairable. I’ve had to jerry-rig a sternum strap from a different pack. I’ve also found the compression straps constantly fall off unless they are very tightly cinched down, which has lead to me removing them altogether. I wish, and expected given the price, that the plastic connection points on this pack were higher quality.

Great backpack sub par materials

I bought the sl 30 in the Arcteryx store in oslo planning to use it for my travels there. I have owned it now for about 3days and have been enjoying it a lot but also have had a few heart breaks with it. The first night sleeping outside i placed it gently on some rocks and already managed to puncture the material. I am quite dissapointed in the material because i thought it would be quite a bit stronger than that. There is also quite a bit of discoloration in the back hard peice of the backpack because of my sweat from hicking, and the discoloration hasn't gone away. Honestly I had some quite high hopes for this bag because it super light well designed and very comfortable to carry but the materials used are in my opinion sub par, i've had backpack with a material that held up way longer.

Incredible top of the line pack!

I've been looking forward to opportunities to lighten my climbing kit and the SL30 pack has been incredible, the design creates for a well balanced pack that sits nice and snug for any and all technical climbing that I've had the opportunity to use the pack on! Even for longer approaches the minimal but functional padding has been surprisingly comfortable and love the minimal hip belt that I can tuck away when I have my harness on!
