I love this bag A LOT !!!! (So much it has besome my everyday carry bag !) It is light, it is tough, the details have been so carefully designed, it remains incredibly comfortable even when fully loaded ! i just regret the opening of the rolltop extension isn't a bit wider (funnel shape), to make the loading of the bag easier... If you need a tester for the next iterations... ;p

Great all around climbing pack

I've used this pack for about a year now, and it's my go to for any all-day or one night climbing objective. It doesn't show any wear, even after being dragged through chimneys, up walls, and getting the elastic caught on trees. The outer pocket is a great size and big enough for a handful of essentials without being so deep that items get lost at the bottom of it. Because the internal pocket is partially built into the extendable dry bag sleeve, it makes it hard to access and I don't tend to use it. I also tend to keep this sleeve down inside the bag, unless I'm expecting rain or want to use it to partition the top of the pack off for wet items. The elastic on the back of the pack can be finicky to tighten down, but in a pinch I've used it to store a light tent, puffy, crampons, and ice axe at one time (although that took it to its limit). It feels perfectly fitted and climbing even with it fully loaded feels natural. I've hiked and climbed with up to 35 lbs / 16kg of gear in it and it has always felt well-positioned and like an extension of my body.

Amazing Pack!

This pack is rad. I've enjoyed taking this pack on numerous ice climbing and mountaineering adventures. As a guide, I spend 50+ days in the field ice climbing and I've enjoyed the Alpha FL 30 as my go to. It's lightweight, waterproof, fits great, doesn't knock your helmet when you look up, and folds down small to be comfortable climbing with it on. I do enjoy the simplistic design but would ask for straps on the side to tighten a rope down with, independent clips for ice axes to fit more smoothly, and the potential to have a removable brain with a helmet attachment. Other than that, this pack is awesome and I will continue to use it as my go-to pack on alpine and ice adventures!

The pack I loved until I didn't.

The pack I want to love but cannot trust! Between my girlfriend and I we have four of these packs. Three of them have serious defaming issues and inside pockets that have failed entirely. Two of the packs have had VERY little use. None of them have been abused. After contacting Arcteryx to see if they could repair just the pocket on one of the bags they stated they could not repair it and offered me a $50 gift card to use on their website. $50 for an almost $300 backpack... Arc gear and there warranty department are going way down hill. So disappointed! Buyer beware!

Poor quality fabric

I used this for 3 summer hikes, very minimal design and not pockets to organize your stuff. Slim design was great for scrambling. Used it for one winter hike and I put my snowshoes in front of the pack and the next day I noticed a big hole in front of my pack. Customer service offered me $50 credit and return of the product! Ridiculous warranty! If this bag couldn't handle my snowshoes( the sharp edges where facing away from the pack fabric) how can I handle ice axes and crampon hanged in front of the pack as it is claimed to be used for?! The fabric material is awful and low quality for a 340 dollars pack, so disappointed with the arc'teryx and their customer service!
