New sizing is off

I bought this as a replacement for my other Thorium AR that was destroyed in the wash. The quality is great, but the revised fit is awful. It's *huge.* I'm consistently a medium in all Arc'teryx products and I would have to size down to a S or XS to make this fit. It's also very, very long in both the torso and the arms. What's odd though is that the new cuts don't fit in the shoulders properly -- the whole jacket moves if you move which means it's not good for much other than sitting around a campsite or strolling in the city. This isn't built for movement.
I am 5'10" and 135lbs for reference.

I wanted a jacket with a warm hood to keep the bone chilling wind off the back of my neck and I got it! Colorado cold- give it your best shot, I'll meet ya at sunrise at 8,000' and we will go from there.

I needed a jacket without worrying about the wind or cold air piercing through the jacket. For years I’ve been trying to find a down jacket for the quality and warmth for a decent price from a respectable brand. Boy am I happy I purchased this for our Vancouver weather! It’s warm, I have room to put on a sweater, the hood is also very warm, and it’s packable for my winter travels! I’m 5ft so the length is perfect for me. I usually have to size up for jackets just so I can wear a sweater but it’s safe to say that this jacket doesn’t require me to wear a sweater which is exactly what I’ve been looking for. So far the temperature has been 4 degrees in the city so I’m excited to test it out during the snowy days.
I’m hoping that sometime in the future the logos will be made of some reflective material rather than just the original fabric stitching. It would be helpful when your out for walks at night time especially when it gets dark early around 4pm during the winter (and it’s still dark when your on your way to work in the morning) and you have to cross the cross walks without good street lights. Just a thought!

Hi yes, it has a left inner chest pocket with a zipper. I have a 12mini and it fits perfectly. There are 2 other pockets inside but it’s without a zipper. Hope this helps.

Love this jacket. I live in Boulder, CO and I skied in this jacket this weekend and it was perfect. I stayed warm & I'm always cold. I like the quality and the shape of the jacket too - I'm 5'8 and 130lbs with a long torso and I ordered a M - Fits perfectly - Covers my behind! and its not bulky -

The warmest!

Have had this jacket about a month now and love it. Needed something heavier and this jacket is perfect. Light weight yet SO warm. I am petite with short torso and the cut is a tad long. I run into this often, but being able to tighten the cinch cord at the bottom of the jacket and tuck it under helps.

Still test-driving this coat

I recently bought the Thorium Hoody - looking for lightweight warmth. Other features I was looking for are length - I want it longer than most other jackets appear to be, and a decent colour. Unfortunately we're in a prolonged warm spell in Ontario so I haven't been able to really test its ability to keep me warm, but I think it will hold up. The armholes are narrower than other Arc'teryx jackets I own, but I will still be able to add a light layer underneath if needed.

Pricey, great jacket but hood is awful

I wish there were draw cords on each side of the face inside the collar to adjust the hood. Not everyone wears a helmet and this hood is really puffy, the wind catches inside and blows it out of proportion. Very frustrating and unpleasant considering the price.

Rad jacket that I’m constantly finding new features on. Typically use it as a single layer for running errands or cold morning walks but could be used with a shell for frigid adventures. Fits well with or without layers under it!

Bought it at the store yesterday. Beautiful warm jacket. It’s super light and so comfortable. Wore it in very windy conditions and didn't feel cold. Its roomy. I usually wear a S or M in most brands.?The S in this jacket fit perfectly, with enough room, and I was wearing a thick sweater under it. Great value for the quality offered! The black is a neither matte, nor glossy, its just perfect
